We really enjoyed staying in this sunny, quiet apartment on top floor of building in Kolonaki area of athens. Apartment is furnished nicely and the cabinets seemed to have everything one might need. Very clean. Owner was extremely helpful. And the location can't be beat -- museums, great restaurants, shopping, etc. all within walking distance.

Left on 02/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Katherine's apartment is located very close to Syntagma Square in the heart of athens, which made it very easy and safe to get anywhere we wanted to go. She lives in the building and is available whenever needed, but unless she was needed we didn't see her at all, so the apartment felt very private. The apartment is small, but comfortable, and extremely clean and neat. She has gone out of her way to make sure that it has all of the comforts of home, from linens to coffee and tea, to an extensive DVD collection, to adapters for our american devices. She has carefully laid out information about restaurants, shopping, etc. for her guests. We tried many of her suggestions and found them all to be good. Traveling with two sons, aged 15 and 13, we couldn't have found a better place for our stay in athens.

Katherine was a very friendly and helpful hostess. I would highly recommend this apartment for business or vacation travel.

Left on 01/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Katherine was a wonderful hostess. She made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. The apartment was cozy (maybe a little small for 5 of us). The location was close to many things -- it's easy to catch a taxi, walk to the metro, or to any of the downtown sites and shopping. The only negative was that the wi-fi could only be used if you were near the door-not in the living room. The router is in the apartment next door. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in athens.

I would like to tell you that we fixed the problem with the wi fi ,

This was our best experience of the six apartments we rented during our stay in Greece and Italy. The location is perfect near Syntagma square, metro stations, and restaraunts/shops in a really nice part of athens. Katherine was really professional and the apartment was exceptionally clean and well organized. The apartment is not huge but very comfortable with thoughtful use of the existing space. There were four adults in our group and we did not feel cramped at all during our three night stay. The owner, Katherine, provided a lot of great information and allowed us to check in early at no charge when our flights changed. This apartment was a great home base from which to explore athens.

My husband and another of our friends have just returned from our European holiday, during which we stayed 5 nights in Katherines amazing apartment. The apartment was exactly as seen and described on the website and more. It was fantastic - clean, well equiped and in a great central area for seeing the sights of athens. Katherine was a gracious hostess, while only living just next door, she was not intrusive, left us to our own devices, and gave us lots of helpful information on our arrival. We would absolutely recommend Katherines apartment to our friends, and anyone else who visits Greece.

My three children and I stayed in Katherine's apartment in June, at the beginning of a 9 week journey through Europe, and stays in many apartments. Katherine's apartment was at the top of our list of great stays! She is a wonderful host--personally checking you in and available to address any question or problem. In addition, her apartment was one of the best equipped that we stayed in. She has thoughtfully supplied just about any supplies you could possible need during your stay. The apartment was comfortable and clean and a pleasure to come back to after long days out and about in athens. I would recommend Katherine and her apartment to anyone wanting to visit athens, and would definitely stay there again on any future trips. Thanks so much, Katherine!!!

Melbourne, AustraliaIdeally located near trendy Kolonaki, Ermou, Plaka and acropolis
Left on 08/13/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The owner (Katerina) is a delightful, lovely lady who made us feel very welcome in her apartment. It is very clean and compact. It has 1 bedroom with a comfortable bed for two and the lounge also sleeps two. It has airconditioning, flat screen tv, large modern bathroom and a desk set up with a computer, with free wi fi. The only thing which disappointed was the tiny kitchen. It's indeed very small, has a compact fridge, however it has all the necessities required to cook a meal. The lounge area has a table for dining.
Afew doors down from the apartment is a fantastic bakery (from the outside it is quite obscure) but once we discovered it, it was wonderful. It is massive inside and recommend it to any visitor. Opposite the apartment in Valaoritou Street you need walk only about 1 minute and you will find adjoining streets with fashionable, boutique stores and cafes. From there it's about a 5-10 min walk to my favourite shopping strip for shoes (Ermou Street) which leads to the Plaka and the acropolis.
If you need a supermarket, there is one about 2-3 blocks away from the apartment (Kolonaki) and I stress it is double storey as I didn't realise it until about the 3rd time I visited it. I wondered why it wasn't very well stocked, but once I checked out the other floor I was greatly pleased. Afew metres from the supermarket is a mobile phone store. Across the road from there is a bank and some nice cafes.
Be sure to check out the National Garden of athens located behind Parliament. It's a beautiful tropical oasis in the middle of athens (38 acres) with large shady trees, playground, small zoo, children's library and a lovely cafe.
Thank you so much to Katerina, we are so pleased to have stayed at your apartment and would highly recommend it to others staying in athens.Response from Katerina - 08/26/2011

2nd time round staying at this apartment , which is right in the centre of athens. As usual Katerine, the owner, is very friendly, helpful and patient. It is comfortable, clean and has everything one could need for a few days visit, longer holiday or even a business trip. I was there celebrating my mum's 81st birthday and she was thrilled we were returning to this great apartment and to athens. It's central location means that one can easily go backwards and forwards, nipping back for lunch or tea and then going out again.
Highly recommended to all ages. Enjoy! -

A lovely apartment in a safe, upmarket area of athens. Conveniently located near the Parliament building and metro stop, supermarket nearby if you want to cook, but plenty of restaurant options nearby also. Very quiet at night. Small balcony (helps with drying laundry!) and very small but efficient kitchen. Reliable wifi and satellite TV plus a DVD library. The owner could not have been more helpful and friendly, and lives right next door if any issue comes up. A perfect home-away-from-home.

Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The second visit with my 81 year old mum to this wonderful apartment right in the centre of athens, to celebrate her birthday. Like last year, it was clean and well equipped and Katherine, the owner, as welcoming and charming as ever.
The location is ideal and meant we could spend a morning out and nip back for lunch before going out again in the afternoon.
Athens is a great city and everyone is not rioting every day as it looks on the TV news. After many trips to athens, this is the first time I have been to the New acropolis Museum which is excellent. Highly recommended (except on Mondays when it is closed!).
Near the apartment is an excellent family run taverna (about 10 minutes walk maximum) and there are buses, trams and metro all within easy reach.
Have a great time in this apartment and in athens!

After searching a lot for a good place to stay with my family I'm convinced that our choice couldn't have been better! Location is perfect: 3 minutes walking from Syntagma Square (where you can get the metro, buses, or even the Hop-on Hop-off buses), close to shops, bakeries, supermarket... Moreover, in a 5 minutes walking (in a pleasant street - Ermou) you reach Plaka and there are dozens of good restaurants and cafeterias.
The apartment itself is absolutely clean, comfortable, well-organized. There you can find maps, intructions and tips...Definitely it's a place that I wish I could come back again! Thanks, Katherine, you are adorable!!! -

This is a fantastic apartment situated in the centre of athens in one of the trendiest areas of the city. It is in very close proximity to wonderful restaurants, cafes, shops, Art Galleries and many historical and cultural sites. There are two metro stations in very close proximity which allow us easy access to the rest of athens.
The apartment was recently renovated, was very clean and offered all the comforts you would find in your own home. The hostess, Katherine, made us feel very welcome and was very helpful for everything we needed. Katherine also provide books and pamphlets with useful information regarding locations of supermarkets, restaurants, tourist sites and also maps to get to these places. The apartment also had a nice collection of Dvds and books on Greek history, Art and places of interest.
We visit Greece on a regular basis and will definitely be staying there again.

This is a great little apartment so centrally based that we walked everywhere for the five days we spent in athens. We used the apartment as a family of four (two children aged 7 and 11) and had a fantastic time, no small part due to the helpfulness of Katherine, who not only gave us some Greek cake to see the New Year in with but gave us local information that made our trip all the more enjoyable and easier (like telling us about the metro not running on New Year's day when we needed to get to the airport).

MelbourneA rare haven in athens
Left on 11/10/2010 for a stay in September 2010
As frequent travellers who prefer apartments to hotels, we were highly impressed with the quality of this apartment.
The owner, Katherine, has thought of everything a visitor may need, whether travelling for business or pleasure. Each time you open a cupboard you discover helpful items such as travel guides, tool kits, printing paper, cleaning supplies - a testament to Katherine's thoughtfulness and hospitality. She lives next door should you need any assistance.
Everything is of high quality, from the furniture and bedding to the appliances, including a useful computer and printer.
The apartment is not big but it is very well designed so there is a sense of spacious and light. We used the main bedroom but had guests over for a few nights who were very comfortable on the loungeroom divan which is the equivalent of two beds. The bathroom is very well appointed and the kitchen, whilst small, had everything we needed.
Best of all, we felt very much at home. And each day, as we set off into lively, bustling athens, it was good to know that our quiet haven was there for us at the end of the day.
When you realise how rare it is to find such an excellent apartment in the centre of athens, you will understand why we found our stay here so pleasurable.
Thank you, Katherine, for making it so.

CanadaAn option to seriously consider
Left on 09/14/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We looked for regular hotel accommodation but found high end four star facilities expensive or poorly located. This apartment is far larger than any room you are going to get in a regular hotel and is located in one of the nicer parts of athens (keep in mind athens is not exactly super nice to the eye to begin with, though a great city to holiday in).
Having internet and printer always available is handy as is a very quiet aircon in both the room and the living area. The street is busy but up on the 7th floor it is quiet so sleep is very easy.
Syntagma subway is just down the road, a good location but not ideal as most sites are down by the acropolis if you have 2-3 days only. Walking to the Plaka takes about 10 minutes once you find the short cuts.
The apartment is very clean with a great (not european style) shower. Being an apartment you don't get the usual hotel problems of noisy neighbours, being stuck near an elevator, stuck near the ice machine, being hassled by cleaning staff etc etc etc.
On the negative side, the doors are rather complicated and tricky to lock, the elevator is the size of a postage stamp and with no breakfat you're left trying to find somewhere in athens that doesn't foprce you to sit for an hour for food (the concept of take away appears to be somewhat unknown in Greece).
All in all i'd consider it again. I'd probably poke about to see if i could find a hotel in the right spot and at the right price but if not would very happily book again given you have absolutely everything you need in the place and cleanliness is first rate.

It is clean & comfortable and it has all the essential facilities. This lovely apartment is centrally located, nicely decorated and has everything we needed. The owner Katherine was very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. She stocked the fridge with water, juice and snacks for the kids, took the time to answer our questions and provided notes and maps and lots of helpful information. When we checked out, we left several personal items in the apartment. Katherine found the least expensive way to mail the items to our home in the U.S. for us. We really appreciated how she took care of her guests and all the help she has given us.
We loved our stay in athens and our time in Greece. We hope to visit again sometime in the future and we would definitely stay here again. -

LondonWonderful little appartment in the heart of athens
Left on 07/02/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We stayed at the appartment for 7 days with our 10 month old twins and found it extremely functional and well located. Whilst it's not large it's certainly more spacious than most hotel rooms with lots of well thought out cupboard space. It looks like it was refurbished in the not too distant past and it's modern with new, well functioning appliances and a/c. It was spotless when we arrived and Katherine, the owner, who was very welcoming had put a few things in the fridge to tide us over the first few hours. The flat is in easy walking distance from a supermarket, from the main square and shops of Kolonaki, from innumerable cafes, big department stores, one of the main shopping streets (Ermou), Syntagma Square (including metro stop), the National Gardens, museums, the acropolis and the old city (Plaka). With a car it's very easy to drive south to the coast (Glyfada, Voula etc). Even though the flat is centrally located because it's on the 7th floor and to the back of the building it feels very quiet and peaceful. The only slight downside for us was that our single buggies didn't fit through the lift door so we had to fold them to take into the lift. With two babies and buggies this was at times quite an effort. Despite this we would not hesitate to rent this flat again and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Washington, DC USAThe Perfect Apartment in Athens!
Left on 12/08/2009 for a stay in November 2009
This apartment is just perfect for so many reasons, but it was the location that initially got my attention. It’s located right in the center of Athens (a few blocks from Syntagma Square), close to transportation (metro; airport buses; Piraeus buses; trams), historic sites, shopping, entertainment, and the beaches. You will not find a better location than this!
The apartment is larger than I expected, extremely clean, bright, and nicely decorated. It has all of the comforts of home, including a washing machine, computer with wireless internet, and cable TV. There is even a small balcony from which you can see Mt. Lycabettus!
When I arrived at the apartment, I was pleasantly surprised to find the refrigerator and pantry stocked with water, juice, coffee, and other essentials – a very nice touch!
The owner, Katherine, and her brother, Dimitrios, could not have been more gracious and were extremely warm and hospitable. Both were very generous with their time, answered all of my many questions (they both speak perfect English) and they made me immediately feel at home and very comfortable.
I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this apartment and the owner. I hope to return here many times on future trips to Greece!

Cambridge, EnglandWonderful apartment experience in Athens
Left on 11/23/2009 for a stay in November 2009
We would hightly recommend this apartment for any length of stay in Athens. Katerina was a wonderful host! She was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. We had everything we needed, she had truly thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. The apartment was in a great location. It was close to the square, which was so convenient. There were shops and restaurants close, as were most of the main attractions, yet we still felt very safe. If we ever get the chance to visit Athens again this will be our #1 choice!

Exceptional is the best word to describe the entire experience of staying in this property. Katerina was incredibly easy to deal with. She was warm, friendly, helpful and informative. We were greeted with a gift of chocolates and a lovely apartment only three short blocks from Syntagma Square. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. Katerina was able to recommend an excellent small place to have souvlaki on our first night. The apartment is well set up with a washing machine and drying rack, dvds and information leaflets (with maps) included. There are basic food supplies although we ate out every night. We could not have asked for anything more. We have happily recommended the place to friends. Special thanks to Katerina for helping to make our visit to Athens so wonderful.

Seattle, Washington, USAterrific apartment!

Absolutely loved the apartment - well furnished, central location, and Katerina was an excellent host. We were there on vacation, and it worked perfectly for our family of four. Right in the heart of Athens, it was close to a Metro stop, short walk to either grocery or restaurants, and an easy walk to the Plaka. When we visit Athens again, this will be our first choice for a place to stay.

Madrid-SpainA perfect apartment in Athens
Left on 09/03/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We rented the apartment for a week with the objective to visit Athens. The apartment is placed in a very central location, 5 minutes from the Syntagma Square (where the Parliament is). This location is one of the best and safest areas of Athens. From the apartment you can walk to Plaka, the most central and popular Athens area, from where begins a visit to the Acropolis and the main archaeological sites. The best and more famous shops are located in the apartment?s area and you can find all kinds of services including supermarket, cafes and restaurants, .... ...
The apartment is completely new, the rooms are spacious, very clean, and is very well equipped, in bedrooms, kitchen ... has satellite TV, video/CDplayer, and PC with a good speed Internet access. The owner of the apartment is a very kind woman, who lives besides the apartment. She would help you with every you could need. We consider the apartment perfect.

Newport Beach, California, USAAMAZING LOCATION, GORGEOUS APARTMENT
Left on 08/20/2009 for a stay in July 2009
This place was amazing. From the second I started exchanging emails with the owner, she did nothing but give me information and answer all of my questions. She sent step by step directions to get there, and even had goodies in the fridge for when we arrived. The apartment is pretty big, with a private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, study area, and tv room. The couches in the tv room turn into beds, which made this apartment perfect for our family of 4. There was even a brand new washer in the unit. The apartment is in a secure building with a key or buzz-in needed for entry. It was quiet and had AC which in the heat of Athens summer was a blessing! It is walking distance to everything, including the gorgeous Plaka area, acropolis, old bazaar, and Syntagma square. We couldn't have been more pleased with this place. Katerina even provided us with bus information, open and close times for various points of interest in town, and restaurant ideas! When we make it back to Athens, we will not be staying anywhere else but here!

Left on 08/19/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We booked the apartment less than a week before our travels and were very stisfied with what we found. The apartment was clean and well stocked, it even had coffee. We were close to everything and the manager was very professional and pleasant to deal with. We couldn't find anything to criticise other than the fact we had to leave. We will be looking to use this apartment again in the future.
