Great place to stay if you are visiting athens , Lina met us with a nice basket of goodies and explained where everything was and how to get where we wanted to go, the the apartment is fantastic with everything you would want and if you are there when the market is on you are only as far as the front door to it, just don't forget to move your car the night before, thanks Lina

My friends and I had a great time in the apartment. It's so well-decorated, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved Lina's hospitable demeanor, and she left snacks for us to eat for breakfast. So convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

I travelled with my Husband and Mother. The location is down town athens. The area Patissia very popular. People from all works of life live in the area but no-one bothered us and we did not feel us safe even late at night. The area in some places did appear to be alittle unsafe especially late at night but we covered our belongings and kept to ourselves. There was no trouble in the area especially on the street of Naxou. Police do patrol the street and area.
The apartment was very nice and comfortable. Lina and her family were very welcoming and attentive to any problems. It is a noisy area but the double glazing on all the doors were excellent! We felt at home and loved every moment of the apartment. -

My husband and I went to Mykonos and Greece in Oct '11. My review is late in coming.
Lina's apartment was everything and more than we needed.
We were greeted w/ a very welcome goody basket full of local flavors.
The apartment is on the second floor of what seems to be a nice building.
There is a balcony that over looks the street in the front and another that over ooks a courtyard in the back.
There is no sitting room in the front, but it was fun to stand and watch local life.
She has a washer and dryer, which came in very handy!!! It took us a while to figure out how to use it as it is both units in one.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of drawer storage (and closet)for your belongings. (bring hangers)
The second bedroom had two twin beds w/ a nightstand in the middle. Perfect for children.
The kitchen was well equipped w/ almost all you might need to cook anything. The microwave wasn't working however. She has a full size fridge and new granite countertops w/ a bar to sit at!! Cozy.
The living room has a couch and a recliner. Both quite comfy.
We had trouble w/ the sat svc, so we watched movies from our computer.
On Tuesday we woke up to a magnificent market right outside the front balcony!!!
There was every kind of fresh vegetable, meat, fish, olives...Everything you could imagine! It was about eight blocks long. Much fun!
There is a little market at the end of the street should you run out of something that you need.
The only complaint that I had was that it was a bit farther from everything than I thought it would be. However...Taxis abound. Just be sure to remember where you started!!! Write down the street name and the "Area" and keep it with w/ you.
My husband and I got lost and could not remember the name of the village or "area" that the apt was in. It took us a long time to get back...and we went in circles many times!!!
Lina was very friendly and quite helpful. Most of our contact was e-mail, and she would answer w/i minutes!!! -

Lina was helpful, prompt and delivered exactly what was described. The apartment was very clean, all linens were provided. The internet worked well. The international telephone service that was included in the rental price was a great deal and really helpful as we needed to be in touch with the U.S. frequently. The kitchen was nicely stocked and Lina provided a nice breakfast basket and bread, cookies, honey, cheese and so much more. we couldn't ask for more. Lina also arranged for a driver for both directions from and to the airport at a reasonable price. We were not crazy about the area of the apartment. it was about a mile walk to the nearest subway stop - but that did not bother us, it was the neighborhood that we had to walk through, especially at night. There were a couple of nights that we actually felt that it was not safe. I only have positive things about Lina and the apartment itself and being unfamiliar with Greece, we were not familiar with the different areas when we chose this area. The price was very good and I cannot complain about anything with regards to the apartment.

LondonGreat apartment however area and noise is a bit of an issue.
Left on 11/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The apartment is tatstefully decorated and very comfortable for two couples to stay for the week. There is a supermarket at the end of the road and syntagma and acropolis is only a 5 euro cab ride away. Lina was very welcoming and provided a breakfast basket which was great. The only issue we had was the noisy neighbours below us who kept playing loud music at midnight and 8am daily and the safety of the neighbourhood at night but often we would return late at night and by taxi. When I spoke to Lina she said they were in the process of evicting the neighbous so hopefully this wont be an issue going forward..

My husband and 2 teenage grandchildren spent 4 nights here. The apt is perfectly furnished for 4 people. Lina's food basket and refrigerator stock was very, very helpful and appreciated. We had trouble with internet access and telephone but not Lina's fault. Arrived in evening and was not too sure of neighborhood but in morning felt perfectly safe, realizing many elderly people lived around and it was a typical neighborhood. Lina arranged for driver to pick us up at port which was a great help and had a taxi take us to airport. Grocery 2 minutes away and walked 2 blocks to get bus or taxi. With 4 people, taxi was economical. Would stay there again.

MumbaiGood Place to stay in
Left on 05/15/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed at this apartment in athens for 6 nights. The apartment is situated inside Koliatsou square. This is not exactly centre of athens (it is a 10 min bus / taxi drive to reach the centre - Syntagma square / Plaka and costs 5 euros). The apartment is spacious and has place to sleep 4 people comfortably. Lina (the owner) supplied us with a large quantity of food to start us off. There is a small market about 20m away. A huge supermarket is about 5 mins away.
Apart from the distance from the city centre, this apartment is very good, good value for money and a great deal. Lina is very helpful and we kept on asking for her help to find directions and our way around athens. Would definitely recommend this place for families / couples. -

Left on 04/10/2011 for a stay in March 2011
I just recently went on a trip with 3 girlfriends, and we absolutely loved our time at Lina's. From the moment we arrived she was extrmely helpful and welcoming. We arrived around 8 PM on a Friday night and were looking for a place to eat. Lina called up a friend who had a restaurant and made reservations for us (something that was extremely helpful considering we do not speak Greek). The restaurant ended up being amazing, and we were so gratfeul for Lina's help. Throughout our whole stay, she did things like this to make our time easier and more comfortable. Her apartment was extremely clean and well decorated...it had more of a feeling of being at home. It was conveniently located with a mini-market across the street and a full grocery store at the end of the block. It was within walking distance to taxis and the metro. I would recommend using taxis as they are incredibly cheap in athens and can get you to all the tourist attractions in a short amount of time. My friends and I wanted to visit Cape Sounion where Poseidon's Temple is located. It is a bit of a ways outside of athens...about a 45 minute to an hour drive. Lina organized a private driver to take us out to the Cape as well as wait for us (we wanted to watch the sunset) to take us back into athens. It was probably the most memorable time of my trip. We felt extremely safe and it was very affordable. I am definitely going to be recommending her place to any of my family or friends who are planning a trip to athens. If you decide to stay here, you won't be disappointed!!

BrightonLovely apartment in central athens
Left on 09/17/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We had a lovely week in the centre of athens, the apartment is very clean, spacious and well looked after. It's well equipped and any groceries you need can be bought from the supermarket close by. The Owners are so friendly and helpful, they gave us good advice when we needed it and made our stay an enjoyable experience.
We visited the acropolis, which is a must see, toured round the Plaka (the oldest section of athens) and ate some fabulous food in the quaint restaurants. There is lots to do and see in the city, it's easy to get around with Taxis, which are not too pricey. We took a tour bus on our first day to get a good idea of our surroundings and see the city.
We also went outside athens to the coast as we have a 3 year old and the weather was good enough to go to the beach. There are plenty of beautiful sandy beaches about 35 mins drive from the apartment. The apartment owners showed us the best ones and we had some lovely days outside the city too.
We had a great time and would definitely want to go back to athens ! -

We absolutely loved our stay at Lina's apartment. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, and she met us cheerfully and checked us in. The apartment was wonderful- spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including laundry facilities and AC.
It's a short walk (10 minutes or so) to the train station where you can go anywhere in the city for a couple Euros. There's a decent mini-market literally 30 seconds away, and a much larger one a 2-minute walk down the street. The location feels kind of dodgy at first, as it's very much a residential neighbourhood, not a tourist strip. But it's quiet at night, and people seemed quite friendly to us.
We highly recommend that you stay at Lena's- she's a wonderful host!
