This was my first trip to Greece so I had no idea what to expect. I usually stay in touristy areas so I was pleasantly surprised that the apartment was in a residential neighborhood. When I arrived, Lia took me on a walking tour of the area which was a huge help to me. Most everything necessary is within walking distance such as the Metro and grocery stores, etc. The studio apartment was beautiful and had an elevator which opened right into the apartment. It was a huge bonus not to have to haul my luggage up a flight of stairs. Everything in the apartment was so modern and so clean! The kitchenette was great and had all the dishes and cooking utensils I needed. The washer and dryer in the building would have been a bonus if I'd have been able to make them work! If you don't relate to icons and can't read Greek, get instructions on how to run them. There is an instruction sheet in the laundry room but it didn't help me. I'm college educated but apparently a ditz when it comes to these things! Same goes for the air Conditioner. I tried to make it work via the thermostat on the wall but there is a separate remote control that makes it work. Embarrassing, but funny!!
The areas near the apartment are diverse. In one direction you'll find pubs and restaurants filled with college-aged people, in another direction there are restaurants and pubs for the older crowd. A 20 minute walk will bring you past restaurants, gas (petro) stations, auto repair shops, bus lines and antiquities. Two doors down and across the street from the apartment is a great little Greek restaurant so it's not far to go to enjoy a good meal. Someone else mentioned the lack of an additional mirror in the apartment and I remember thinking the same thing. It would have been nice to have a full length mirror somewhere in the apartment.
And finally, Lia from Boutique athens was rockin' awesome throughout my vacation! Actually, she was helpful to me long before I committed to travelling to athens.

Where to start... This was quite simply a fantastic place to stay. The apartment we had originally seen was taken but Dean rang me and asked what kind of holiday we were wanting and recommended GZ. I was in a very trusting mood that day and I am so pleased I was as it meant we booked this fab apartment with a first class service. Everything is done in advance so you don't have to worry about a thing when you get there. Once there you are greeted and shown maps etc and then you are left alone to enjoy your holiday.
The location is fab with it being close to bars and restaurants, a metro station, a supermarket and the historical sites.
The apartment itself has everything you need, is comfortable and feels like home. It has a washing machine and tumble dryer which is in the basement and is shared with the other 2 apartments - I got pooped on by a bird so this came in very handy! The only thing we felt it was missing was another mirror as it only had one in the bathroom and with 2 girls sharing and hair straightening needing to be done it was the only thing we felt was lacking - boys don't understand these things!
There are so many wonderful things I have to say about the whole experience from putting in the enquiry to leaving the keys on the last day but instead I will sum it up with this - I would absolutely recommend this as a fantastic place to stay.
