This new and spacious (85m2) two bedroom ground floor seaside apartment, with private garden and swimming pool, at just a 500m walk from the famous Lagonissi sandy beach on the Athenian Riviera, consists of a large living/dining room, it has a dining table for 6 persons and chairs in the dining space near to the kitchen. The living space has two large relax chairs, a three person sofa (not shown in the picture) and a two person sofa bed which can be unfolded for sleeping (not shown in the picture), a TV set with satellite tv and a dvd player. The location of the apartment on the Athens Riviera, makes it ideal for a relaxing seaside holiday, but also to visit Athens. The area is known for the "Lagonissi Grand Resort hotel", one of the best and most luxurious in Greece. There are three main sandy beaches at walking distance, all with a beachbar/restaurant, umbrellas and free lounge chairs. One beach also offers a free tennis and basketball court and a small playground for children.There are dozens of other sandy organized and non organized beaches all along the coast. A mini market, a bakery and a Greek restaurant are at a 400m walk; various other shops and restaurants at 1km from the apartment.
The apartment is located 35 km south of Athens center, with a bus stop for the express bus at 600m, which leaves every 30 minutes and takes you straight into Athens. Right next to the apartment are two free parking spaces.
The apartment is just 20 minutes by car from Athens International Airport.
Athens, best known for the Acropolis, is one of the nicest cities of Europe to visit. The city offers the famous "Plaka" tourist area around the acropolis full of little shops and restaurants, where one feels like being on a Greek island, the modern award winning Acropolis museum, the Lycabettus hill, in the center of town with it's "Teleferic" cable cart inside the mountain, taking you up the mountain for a stunning view of Athens and the harbour of Piraeus. "Monastiraki" with it's famous flea market, the "posh" Kolonaki area with top brand name stores, the stadium of the first modern Olympic games and of course it's modern center with the parliament and the traditional Greek Soldiers.
Several nice villages and sights are in the vicinity, such as the famous Cape Sounion with it's magical sunset and ancient temple of Poseidon, the picturesque Porto Rafti harbour, shopping 'heaven' Glyfada, the villages of Saronida and Anavisos with it's many fish restaurants, the port of Lavrio where one can take the ferry to tzia (kia) island. Day excursions can be made to Corinth (with it's impressive ancient city, Byzantine caste on the mountain top and the famous Corinth canal), The ancient theatre of Epidaurus and the pittoresque venetian city of Nafplion, the first capital of Greece and of course Delphi, with it's famous oracle.

Situation très intéressante permettant de visiter athènes le jour et le soir, car la ville est très vivante la nuit... les restaurants servent très tard et c'est joli.
Cet appartement est situé à 30 minutes en voiture( indispensable). il permet d'être tranquille et loin des bruits de la circulation. (mais pas des chiens , voir ci après)
L'appartement n'a pas de rideaux aux fenêtres et aucun cadre ou décoration sur les murs. . ...De l'extérieur, on voit à l'intérieur...
Attention en 3ème semaine d' avril , le propriétaire ne met plus le chauffage et l'appartement est plutôt froid humide le matin et le soir... un sweet ou un pull over s'imposent !
Le propriétaire est très gentil, mais toujours à l'affût ... on s'y sent d'ailleurs quelque peu surveillé...
Il habite au dessus..., "Restez habillé" à l'intérieur, le propriétaire débarque et entre dans le séjour sans prévenir !!! c'est arrivé une fois...
Grosse contrainte : il impose de tout fermer et de baisser les volets, par peur des voleurs...ce qui fait que quand vous allez à 1 km pour une heure de tennis, vous devez tout barricader... c'est aussi à cause de cela qu'il fait froid dedans car le soleil ne rentre pas.
Autre chose : LES Chiens des voisins : toujours en train d'aboyer et dès 6h du matin un chien fait le loup,,,c'est plutôt insupportable.
Nous n'avons pas pu essayer la piscine... eau encore trop froide à cette époque...
Tennis devant la plage en free accès : super !!! on peut y jouer toute la journée sauf le soir à partir de 18h car il est pris pour des cours (leçons)
Pour faire les courses il vaut mieux aller à Vouliagmeni... plus de choix et meilleur marché... très bon pain et superbes pâtisseries.
Equipement de l'appartement pour cuisiner : correct
Faites attention au lit matrimonial : le sommier est posé sur des planchettes bricolées et collées entre elles avec scotch... la première nuit il s'est écroulé... nous avons dormi à même le sol...
Le propriétaire a réparé le lendemain par encore "un bricolage sommaire"
Côté location : rapport qualité prix et sympathie du propriétaire si on arrive à le gérer : plutôt correcte...
c'est un bon compromis pour 6 personnes, nous n'y étions que deux et sommes toujours rentrés tard pour profiter de athenes, le Pyrée, Glyfada...etc...
Je recommande néanmoins cette location aux gens qui peuvent gérer tous ces petits détails -

Coming from Moscow, together with two friends for a short one week break to visit athens for the first time, we were mainly planning on visiting the city and it's sights and also make some excursions to close by places of interest in the area.
The owner, Constantin made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, showing us around the area and taking us to the supermarket and during our stay was always available for any assistance.
We did not expect to find such nice sandy beaches so close to athens and since the weather was great (30 degrees Celcius), in the end we went to the sea almost every day, especially to a place called "Bali Beach" at just a 5 minutes walk from the apartment, a lovely small "Carribean style" bay with a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by hills, with free sun chairs, umbrella's, a nice cafetaria and crystal clear water.
We rented a car at a very reasonable price to drive around, visiting "magical" Cape Sounion, the small "postcard" harbor of Porto Rafti, Varkiza with it's seaside boulevard and of course also went to athens several times, parking just out of the center at the "Fix" metro station and from there walking to the acropolis. We also went to the lovely tourist area called "Plaka" full of small shops and restaurants, the "monastiraki" flea market, took the little train sight seeing tour and in general really enjoyed the city. We will be back !! -

Lovey short break close to athens. Nice apartment, close to beach (walking). Apartment was good size, clean, well-equipped. And as another reviewer said, having the owner living in the apartment above was good as he went out of his way to help and show us where things were - both in the apartment and local sights.
A bit of a drive into athens, but park at Syngrou-Fix subway station and either walk to the acropolis or get the metro to Syntagma Square or other places. Well placed for visiting Cape Suonio and the temple of Poseidon for a lovely sunset.
When we went (early april) it was warm enough to breakfast in the garden but not quite warm enough to go in the pool! -

I stayed with my family in this lovely seaside apartment from March 20 to March 29 and very much enjoyed it.
For the first time in Greece, our stay started our perfectly with the owner Constantin, who speaks perfect German, picking us up from the airport and bringing us to the apartment and afterwards taking us with his car to a big supermarket to buy the heavy groceries. We had very nice weather almost every day and enjoyed relaxing in the sun at the private garden and swimming in the pool one day and exploring the village, the sandy beach at a 5 minutes walk and visiting athens the next day with the express bus; indeed the perfect combination of a beach holiday and city trip ! We also really enjoyed athens and went back to Germany with a suntan and a smile on our face and can recommend this apartment to everyone ! -

Stayed in this lovely ground floor apartment in June last year. Lovely rural setting with excellent transport links to athens within 30 minutes. The well furnished apartment was clean and tidy with a private garden and pool at the rear and a shaded patio area at the front.
Constantin, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly and spoke excellent english. He picked us up from and returned us to the airport and was always offering to help - a tour of the local area was given and he even offered to run us to a more distant restaurant although it was not too far away to walk to.
For anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a quiet area - away from built up tourist areas but close to a beach, local facilities and a few restaurants - then you will not be disappointed here.
Apart from the above the prices quoted for this property are excellent in comparison to other properties we have rented in the past. -

This was our first trip to Greece (June 2012) and we chose this apartment after searching the web. We liked the pool, and the proximity to athens, without being actually in the city.
The apartment is large enough for a family, and well equipped, and having the owner living on site was great. The owner was very helpful, from airport lifts (we didn't hire a car) to driving us around to show us bus stops, shops, beaches etc.
There are many nice restaurants, three beaches and a local 'mini market' all within walking distance from the apartment. We had one week there, and were blessed with nice weather, so we used the pool a lot. It was always kept clean and ready for us. It was good to have the garden to relax. It is also nice to be able to sit in the rear garden, or on the front patio, depending on the sun's position.
I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and the locality as a great holiday destination.
