We were so pleased with this lovely home and enjoyed all of the beautiful decor. The paint colors were refreshing and soothing, along with the wonderful view of the emerald ocean, and the furniture was so comfortable. It was centrally located to many shops and restaurants and we enjoyed exploring the nearby adjacent areas of Beaufort and Swannsboro also. We would definitely rent this home again and already I am nostalgic and look forward to when we can come back to visit. Emerald Isle Realty was a pleasure to deal with and we were very happy with our entire experience.

Booking through Emerald Isle was very easy and the employees were more than happy to answer any questions we had. The condo was very nice and was right on the beach. We loved the fact that it was on the 3rd floor so we could sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise. The only thing I would suggest to future renters is to bring their own cutlery and cookers.

Shutters is a very comfortable, nicely decorated unit. Has everything you need and the view is perfect. It is more suited for four people because of space. The third bedroom (they call a den) has a very small double bed on rollers which would be okay for small children and the living room space is too small to pull out the sofa.

Booked via emeraldislerealty.com (who always does a great job!), this one is perfect! Great rooms, amazing sized master bath (huge shower!), double vanity, the works. Kitchen is huge, very well equipped, lots of seating. Satellite TV with lots of stations, free internet works well. Location is killer - almost private beach! And the pool couldn't be leaner & located right next to ocean!

Stayed here for one week w/ family of 6, ages 6 months to 36. The condo is great, tastefully decorated and well furnished. The view is amazing and by far the best feature! If not sleeping or on the beach, you will spend almost all of your time on the oceanfront deck. Very short walk to pool and beach. My only complaints concerns the quality of the mattresses and the kitchen. The king and twin beds are not the greatest - the queen seemed much better. The pillows provided are also not very good so bring your own. In the kitchen the dishwasher needs to be replaced asap - it barely works! The pots and pans are adequate but the cutlery is an old mixed assortment that also needs to be replaced. One other thing to note is that the claeaning company seems to remove everything from the kitchen so there is nothing there other than salt and pepper (no oil, spices etc.). If you have kids there is a pack-n-play and a highchair in the condo. No outdoor grills, but owners put an electric grill on the deck which was very handy. Atlantic Beach is a great place and we certainly return.

I'm also going to let our homeowner team know about your comments on the bedding so they can pass that information to the owner. As for the kitchen items, we don't leave any leftover items in any of our properties between stays. This is for the safety and comfort of our guests. The Shutters does provide an excellent location and I'm so happy you enjoyed it.

The condo was in a prime location. Very nice set up. The only part that could be improved would be the kitchen. The dishwasher hardly worked and the silverware could be replaced. Otherwise, nice condo.

We loved it at the Shutters 603. The location was quiet but close to different towns. The beach was nice sand and we walked for miles. The room (which is the size of a small house) was very well kept. It is on the third floor and my wife was 7 months pregnant and she loved the elevator. There were 3 decent bedrooms and just 2 of us so we used one as a big closet. Went to Amos Mosquito's and loved the smores desert. The one thing we didn't like was a hotel next door called Atlantis they were very rude to us when we sat on some of there beach chairs that were left in front of our place. He ran over and told us to get off they were private property and with our stuff under them grabbed them and dragged them away. I felt dumb and never intended for trouble. I was just trying to find a chair for the preg. wife. I bought her one that same day. Anyway it was wonderful.

The Shutters 603Bad Experience

erwe arrived late monday evening, did not make the saturday check in time, the people at emerald isle realty took care of us by changing the rental from monday to monday ( which should not be an issue in the off season) the reason for our trip was to vist my sick uncle, who passed on before we arrived.
there were some things that should have been taken care of at the condo before we arrived,
the heat was turned down to 54 degrees.
the electric hot water tank was turned off.
could not take a shower, taking a bath was not an option THERE WAS NO BATH TUB in the unit. never in the past thirty years of vacationing have I seen a rental without at least one bath tub.
there was no toilet paper not one sheet!!!
you can imagine how upset this was after driving 12 hours. only to make matters worse I drove to the local store and discovered that they were closed (at 9pm) The problems did'nt stop there the closets were chained locked shut,one small closet was all the space we had for four adults to hang their suits and dresses,
My Aunt & Uncle both in their mid eighty's were both very upset that proper arrangements were not in place before we arrived.
having to deal with a death & funeral was enough, then to have this mess only added to a bad experience.

I'm very sorry that you had a rough start to your vacation. I know after driving for 12 hours and arriving late at night you and your family were exhausted! Thank you for reporting these issues to us when our office opened. You gave us the opportunity to correct what was wrong and I'm happy to report that we did that in less than 5 hours of your report!
I hope that you enjoyed the items we brought down as a courtesy such as the complimentary soap & paper products, the nice gift basket, an arrangement for the funeral home and of course fixed the maintenance issues you reported as well. The only items we were unable to address were the bathtubs and the closet that was locked.
We have added to our website since your stay that there are only showers for this condo. We have also contacted the owner about opening up that master bedroom closet for guest use. I can see how this would be an inconvenience to our rental guests, thank you for letting us know!
Our local stores do close at 9pm at the latest in the off season, I'm sorry you found this to be an inconvenience. During our summer months they stay open a little bit later (11pm) for guest convenience. Other than the issues stated I hope you enjoyed the furnishings, layout and view from this condo!

Nicely decorated, very clean, and well equipped condo, but there is a problem with the washer, phone, and internet service. The internet was password protected and the realty office did not have a password. The phone was out of order from Wednesday-Thursday. Also, the washer will only rinse in very hot water - not a good thing for permanent press clothing! The king bed in the master bedroom is very uncomfortable and the owner has all of the closets locked except one in the second bedroom and we needed more room to hang our clothing. Even though the description says that this unit accomodates 6 people, it would be very crowded with that many people in the condo. We found if ideal for two people. The weather was beautiful and Emerald Isle is a great place to vacation.

We found Shutters to be a very nice well appointed condo. Located very close to Morehead and Beufort makes it a very attractive place to stay. We have made Emerald Isle (Outer Banks)our vacation destination for the last 12 to 15 years and I would certainly rank Shutters at the top.

We loved the condo we stayed in! We loved the fact that the beds were made and the towels were on each bed. We enjoyed the oceanfront view and loved the fact the complex had an elevator. The house was very clean & tastefully decorated. It was an oasis!!
Emerald Isle Realty has been the best company on the island to work with. You make sure that your properties are in top order. We've stayed with another realty company in the past, but their "linens and towels included" meant that they were dropped off at the door to the house in a trash bag.
We also liked the location of the condo. It was very close to Morehead City and Beaufort so it didn't take long to go out to eat.
I would have preferred a little more storage room in the condo. The master bedroom closet was locked, and we couldn't use it. The outside closet at the bottom of the building was not accessible either. This space would have allowed us to store our beach items without bringing them into the condo. We would have liked for the parking spaces under the complex to have been bigger and/or easier to get in and out of your car.
Overall, our trip was fantastic! It was so nice to come to the beach and have no worries. -
