What Past Guests Are Saying
Great house, trip ruined by Spectrum
First off, this is a beautiful house. It was very well kept with plenty of room and a great porch area to hang out. Our trip was interrupted by the owner who came in very confused. She had no idea Spectrum was even renting the house for the weekend, while her daughter and friends were outside thinking they were going to come stay in the house. After about an hour and a half of talking to the owner and being bothered by Spectrum (they were basically trying to get me to "admit" to doing something, anything, wrong) the owner was on her way. She was very nice and polite, and this confusion was not her fault in an way.
So after this, I lost all respect for Spectrum. Unfortunately, this was not the end of it. Two days after leaving the house, I received a call from Spectrum saying they were charging me $100 for a something that was missing and a broken shutter. This was absolutely false. We did not take anything, and definitely did not break a shutter. We cleaned everything, took the trash out, and washed the dishes. The house was spotless. I called Spectrum back and they directed me to somebody's voicemail. I left a message and, wouldn't you know it, never heard back. I should've kept calling, but I figured never speaking with such a terrible company again was worth my $100.
It's a shame this happened, because again, this house is beautiful. I will never even think about renting from Spectrum again. I hope they didn't spend my $100 all in one place.
