A beautiful apartment located in the heart of a rural market town in the heart of France.

The one-bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor of a former parsonage (presbytère) in the heart of of a beautiful town in the stunning department of La Creuse.

The living room has a very comfortable 3-seater sofa, which can be opened out for use as a second bed, and an armchair. The whole room is light, airy and bright.

The kitchen has everything you should need, including microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. The breakfast bar is the perfect place to eat at any time of the day, or to hang out and play games, or just hav...e a chat over a glass of wine (or three).

The bedroom is comfortable and spacious enough for an armchair, should you want to sit by the window and read.

The shower room is of a good size.

Outside the entrance is a very wide footpath. Whilst this is not private it is not used very often by pedestrians, and we have spent many an evening having a drink outside, and have even had a barbeque there.

The apartment is set back from a quiet road, with ample parking and is less than a minutes walk away from the beautiful town square, with it's cafés, pizzeria, restaurant, small supermarket and banks (with cash machines). Felletin is the gateway to the plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, forests and lakes. La Creuse is a great destination for walkers, cyclists, anglers and (due to it's year round beauty) photographers. Felletin is the perfect base to explore the region, and with it's beautiful churches, and other buildings, it has a lot to see without going anywhere.

The water in Felletin is eau de source which means the water coming out of the taps is the same water you buy in bottles... no chemicals this comes straight from the mountains. It is this water which helps provide Fellis with it's lovely flavour - the beer is brewed in a microbrewery in the town.

The town hosts a bustling market every friday. In winter there is a Christmas market. In the summer months there is a world music and dance festival. Other fêtes, and special "journées" include a book festival (journée du livre), a beer festival (fête de la bière) and the fête de Felletin.

The town square, and the quiet cobbled streets that lead from it, has everything you need; cafés, bars, restaurants, boulangeries, pâtisseries, two small (but surprisingly well stocked and reasonable) supermarkets, banks, gift shops, and a tourist information office. There is also a larger supermarket on the town outskirts, which is also walkable.

The churches are really worth a look for the architecture, and the town has various other little delights such as a former diamond processing plant.

Felletin is as renowned for it's tapestry as it's neighbour Aubusson, and you can visit the famous Pinton factury, the place where they produced the world famous tapestry depicting Christ in Coventry Cathedral. The river Creuse flows by Felletin, and many a fantastic evening can be had sitting on the banks of the river sipping a glass of champagne, and eating some locally produced cheese on delicious french bread.

La Creuse is a wonderful place to visit. Not only do you get to explore the best of the Limousin region, you are also on the border of the Auvergne. You are only an hours drive from the Puy de Dome. This breathtaking area is well worth a visit. - it is simply stunning.

  We have been travelling around France for our twice yearly holidays for some years now and have always been more than pleased with our accommodation, be it 5 star in Nantes or a caravan in Frejus. 3 Place des arbres ranks as one of our best holidays. Hosts Bruce and andrea have made it comfortable and well equipped, and set as it is just off the main square of Felletin with it's weekly market, its right up our street, as it were and only a short drive to aubusson. Recommended.

  we have stayed with bruce and adrea on a number of occasions normally in there self catering apartment,,the apartment is extremely clean and really very pleasant with every thing you need to see you through an equally pleasant holiday, however if you don't want to cook, andrea a vegetarian cook, will prvide you with exeptional quality fare,, we quite enjoy vegetarian cuisine now,,, felletin is a lovely sleepy town which bursts into life every now and then when the various festivals take place ,, the creuse in general is breathtaking,,,you will be made to feel welcome at 3 place les arbes,,,high points ,,, friday market,,, the fete de pain,,, andres bread,,, andreas gin and tonics on an evevening,, and pleasant conversation and not just a little humour
