Description
A beautiful apartment located in the heart of a rural market town in the heart of France.
The one-bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor of a former parsonage (presbytère) in the heart of of a beautiful town in the stunning department of La Creuse.
The living room has a very comfortable 3-seater sofa, which can be opened out for use as a second bed, and an armchair. The whole room is light, airy and bright.
The kitchen has everything you should need, including microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. The breakfast bar is the perfect place to eat at any time of the day, or to hang out and play games, or just have a chat over a glass of wine (or three).
The bedroom is comfortable and spacious enough for an armchair, should you want to sit by the window and read.
The shower room is of a good size.
Free wi-fi access is available to our guests
Outside the entrance is a very wide footpath. Whilst this is not private it is not used very often by pedestrians, and we have spent many an evening having a drink outside, and have even had a barbeque there.
The apartment is set back from a quiet road, with ample parking and is less than a minutes walk away from the beautiful town square, with it's cafés, pizzeria, restaurant, small supermarket and banks (with cash machines). The post office is just a minutes walk away. The train station is only 2 minutes walk away, and taxi office only a minute away.
Please note there is a local Taxe de Sejour of 0.40 euros per person per night payable on arrival

“Nice - but not perfect - apartment in attractive small town”
Felletin is an attractive little town with interesting tapestry history, some nice little shops, great boulangeries and butchers and some lovely walks. The apartment was attractively furnished and in a quiet side street with space to sit outside in the afternoon sun. Bed and bed-settee both very comfortable But we had a few grumbles. 1) For the whole of a one week stay we were given ONE not-very-large bath-towel and one hand towel. 2) There was no TV/dvd - not a problem as we played a lot of Scrabble but most self-catering apartments I have stayed in have a TV or at least a radio or CD player. 3) There was an oven but NO oven-dishes whatsoever (and no washing machine - this wouldn't normally be a problem but with such sparse towel provision and no change of sheets it could bother some people).. All kitchen knives were blunt. None of these alone are very important but overall there was a feeling that the owners had skimped a bit - I've never stayed in a place that didn't leave at least a bottle of juice or wine and a few basic items like salt. This had absolutely nothing. For a few euros expenditure it could have been so much more welcoming. We had a very good vegetarian meal - 23 euros pp - in the owner's dining room on our first night and enjoyed the conversation with French guests. But we should point out that if you don't like cats this maybe isn't the place for you. I still have the claw-mark of an over-enthusiastic moggy (one of three). Fortunately the attraciveness of the Limousin area - especially the tapestry displays in Felletin and Aubusson - compensated for any niggles about the apartment.

We feel that it is a real shame that you didn't discuss any of the problems that you experienced with us, thus giving us an opportunity to rectify them. Our linen is charged per person per week, if you had wanted a change of linen you could have asked, this is the norm in holiday rentals. We do not provide a washing machine because there is nowhere to dry laundry as we do not have a garden, but for a week, guests usually manage, so sorry if this was an inconvenience to you, but we are honest about what is provided in the apartment. We had an email exchange about a TV and DVD player with you before your stay, so this too, was not a surprise when you arrived. As we live on site and are almost always available, it is our experience that our guests approach us if they have any issues and we make every effort to rectify them.
