Description from the manager
Tucked away on the edge of an historic village at the end of a quiet lane twisting down from the main street, this charming 18th century former weaver’s bothy sits between a pretty little stream and open countryside with a small, secluded garden that captures the afternoon and evening sun. This semi-detached property was recently completely refurbished and offers an exceptionally well-appointed interior within the unspoiled exterior of one of the oldest buildings in the village. It was once home to the weaver, his family and loom and is cosy and comfortable with many original features including timber beams, flooring and fireplace. The...Read more

Milton KeynesFantastic cottage
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The Bothy was small but ideal for a couple, it was very comforable and cosy. Husband had the added benefit of being able to walk along a short lane to Dunning golf course for a game of Golf.
3 Pubs in the village, with a lot of very friendly locals. We would highly recommend this to family and friends.
Owners were lovely and left a lovely welcoming gift, they will also give you any information you need, although there were plenty of leaflets in the cottage. -

LiverpoolCharming little cottage in a welcoming village
Left on 08/31/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Small but perfectly comfortable, clean and welcoming cottage. All contained in one room with a double bed, kitchenette, dining table, cooker, sofa, tv and log burner fireplace with access to a small garden area with table and chairs. All pans and kitchen equipment provided. Great for two people looking to escape to the country. Close to the a9 so easy to reach attractions. Friendly village with lively locals. Village has two shops, three pubs - one of which serves food so all you need is there, or there are more shops and cafe's in auchterarder, a short drive away. Owners of the cottage very helpful and lovely people. We will be coming back again!

Lovely weekend spent here whilst visiting family. The Bothy was a little gem - cosy and comfortable with everything necessary for our break away. The area pretty, people friendly, and excellent for dog walking. Ideal base.

WishawPerfect week
Left on 04/28/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed in the Bothy for a week at Easter and had a fabulous time. The owners have thoughtfully equipped the Bothy to ensure you have everything you could possibly need. The wood burning stove is an absolute treat especially to ease the aches and pains encountered after walking around the stunning scenery of the surrounding area.

It was me and the dog, it was a perfect area for dog walking. The owners are very nice and helpful and also all the local people are very friendly. I do not drive so just walked locally, but it would be an ideal base to stay and explore Perthshire.
Two local shops and they had good stock of everything I needed. I liked the quiet situtation of "The Bothy", I thoroughley enjoyed my week there
