Enjoy a comfortable Urban Retreat in our European style attic apartment. We are conveniently located just a few blocks from downtown in a historic home, nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our home is adjacent to the Swede Hill Historic District, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The apartment is fully furnished including an authentic hammock from the Yucatan and an antique clawfoot tub with hand held shower hose. Furnishings also include a bistro table, lounge chair, and desk. It has a compact kitchen with a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, cooking... and dining utensils. A private entrance to the apartment is by way of a spiral staircase on the outside of our home. Plenty of free on-street parking is available in front of the house.
There is plenty of natural light in the apartment with a quiet room air conditioner. We are one block from the #6 Capital Metro bus line and walking distance to many of Austin's downtown attractions as well as the University of Texas. We hope you consider our Oasis Retreat for your first or next visit to Austin.

Our time at La Vita was great. The location was prefect. We rented bikes and could make it to downtown in less then 10 minutes and to Zilker Park in less then 30. The space itself has everything that you need, including a great hammock to hang in for relaxation. Thanks again! :)

I went to Austin for a warm (hot) weather weekend. I brought my bike and didn't get a car. The transfer from the airport was quick and inexpensive. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance (including Franklin's- a bbq place that sold out each day I was there!, Blue Dahlia Bistro and Takoba for a fanstastic margarita), and I was able to roll to Barton Springs pool mostly via bike path every day from La Vita Oasis. The street is quiet and the place is great. I loved sleeping with the windows open. The Oasis is quiet, clean and was perfect for me. The pictures are accurate.

This is a great little place to stay at a great price. It was very clean and well maintained. It is relatively close to downtown and very easy to get to. I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to stay here as well.

We're former Austinites who needed a place to stay for a week while we returned. The owner was incredibly nice and understanding when travel woes made it hard for us to show up when we wanted to. The place is beautiful, very relaxing. You wouldn't even know that it was so close to downtown. It's as much of an oasis as advertised.

Highly recommended. This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! Spacious and bright apartment, well equipped (wireless internet, cable TV, kitchen appliances and utensils, towels and bath products), with nice small touches all around (hammock, candles, coffee, guidebooks). Close to downtown and UT (absolutely walkable although there are several bus stops nearby too). The owner is very professional and nice - it was a pleasure to deal with him and to spend our week-long vacation at this sweet place. Many thanks!

What a beautiful place! The garden view from the apartment was a beautiful treat and a surprise! The location is absolutely perfect. You really cant get any closer to the entertainment district without being in it. We walked everyday downtown and found it to be a pleasurable part of our day. I am recommending this find to everyone.

This was a wonderful rental space. Great care and attention was given to the comfortable rental. My son and I stayed 5 nights and had no problems and had all the things we needed for internet access, cooking our own meals, and finding our way around. This space is very close or has easy access to just about anything you want to do or see in Austin. I would recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Austin.Read more
