A+ location in the heart of downtown next door to Hilton Hotel & the Austin Convention Center. 2 bedroom/2 bath condo with classy, comfortable furniture that comes fully furnished. This is my downtown Austin second home and it's walking distance to everything in the downtown area including Alamo Drafthouse Theaters, hundreds of restaurants/bars plus Town Lake Hike & Bike Trail. One can literally walk across the street and be at the convention center. The location is in the heart of downtown!!!

The world headquarters flagship store of Whole Foods is a long walk (10 min) or very short cab ride away. "SoCo" = South Congress Avenue shopping... and restaurants are a 15 min walk away by just crossing Town Lake from downtown. This is an amazing location and the living space is great too. Kitchen with breakfast bar opens to the living area.

So much nicer than a small, boring hotel room. Plus, hotels add parking costs. Call around the hotels downtown and find this unit is much larger, a real home, and less $. Keep Austin Weird is the motto of this city so take an opportunity to live in a home-type setting while being in this great city! This is a 2 bedroom with queen beds and 2 full bathrooms plus a sleeper sofa in the living area so it can accommodate 5 adults. Living area has flat panel TV with full cable (about 75 channels) and WiFi access. No car is needed if you want a pedestrian friendly opportunity but if you rent a car, then secured/gated parking (2 car) is available on site.

**Please note this unit is on the 2rd floor and no elevator available so do not lease if you cannot bring bags up 2 floors or stairs are a problem.**

The neighbors are full time adult professionals/residents and the unit may not be leased for a party. It's a great home and home base for people wishing to visit Austin, live like a local and avoid being in the hotels. Walk across the street to one of the bars for time to be loud and crazy.   This place was excellent for anyone wanting to be close to downtown, especially the convention center. This condo is in a building directly across the street from the convention center. It is easy to find and to get in and out of as there are two entrances to the parking area. The condo is very nice and very comfortable--the beds are heavenly. There is the usual amount of downtown noise, which gets a bit worse on the weekends due to the proximity to the Sixth Street area. There are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance and a Starbucks right across the street. The complex is gated and so was quiet and felt very secure. The only problem I had was at 3:00 Sunday morning, some people who obviously were not staying/living there somehow got in and had settled on some outdoor furniture in front of the condo directly across the small atrium. Their somewhat loud conversation carried to the point that it sounded as if they were in the bedroom with me. I looked for a number for a security person and could not find one, so I finally leaned out the door and asked them to take it elsewhere. They slowly moved out, pausing in the atrium downstairs to talk some more and to do a little kissing and flirting (which was still very audible). It would have been nice to have someone to call about this. Other than this one incident, I enjoyed the stay very much and will be back the next time I need to spend a few nights in austin!
  
  Getting and returning the key to the lockbox is a bit awkward and involved and requires being able to find a metered, on-street parking spot while you get the key, go to the condo to retrieve the parking gate clicker, then coming back to move your car. This process must be done in reverse when you check out. I'm not sure there is any better way for the manager to handle this, but I just wanted to advise you to plan ahead for this.
