Golf: Austin has numerous golf courses around the city. This home is in central Austin, so courses are as close as 5-10 minutes away and as far as 20-45 minutes to reach courses such as Falconhead Golf Course, Hyatt Lost Pines, Barton Creek Resort, etc.

  We rented this place for a Christmas family reunion, and found it to have lots of good things and a few drawbacks. The owner, David Kline, was extremely helpful, and I think he is likely to fix the drawbacks soon. There are three nice bedrooms with big closets and en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom on the second floor is gorgeous, with a balcony overlooking austin ( at least in the winter) and a Temperpedic mattress. An office on the first floor was converted to a fourth bedroom--this is really stretching it, as there is no closet space and no accessible full bath, just a half bath some distance away. The fifth "bedroom" is in the basement, and it has three double beds and no bathroom on that floor at all--a real problem. The public space is excellent--wonderful huge sectional sofas, super kitchen, pool table. The house has quality materials throughout. The neighborhood is lovely and it is easy to get anywhere; it is very accessible to both SoCo and downtown. The check- out routine was, we felt, excessive--place all linens, used or not, in one pile on each floor, completely clean out the refrigerator, dispose of all trash, and wipe down all surfaces--and this after having paid $250 for a cleaning fee. But all in all we had a wonderful time and recommend this place highly.
