The Old Barn of Recoules offers superb accommodations for a relaxing vacation full of fun and adventure. Situated in the heart of southwest France in the Midi-Pyrénées region, in the Aveyron Region, it is one of the largest regions in the country. This area features a landscape of ancient towns, villages, castles, Romanesque churches and an inexhaustible history.

If you are looking for somewhere to relax in comfort and solitude, then this is the place. The little village of Recoules is charming, and not far from a good number of restaurants and bars. The barn has been kitted out with an impressive array of modern comforts, large flat screen televisions, stereo, DVD player, high speed internet etc. The kitchen is also very well equipped. There are three comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The main sitting area has three large black leather sofas and a large dining table. There were four of us staying, but the place would still be comfortable with double that number of guests. The terrace to the rear of the property was our favorite place to sit and relax, the view is, as they say 'to die for,' making it the ideal location to take a chilled glass of local wine, or for eating. It is also the place to sit and watch the sun go down.

In a word, wonderful. The quiet serenity of the whole area was the perfect ending of our trip. We only regret we could not have stayed longer.
