      perfect retreat

Left on 05/14/2011 for a stay in May 2011

just got back from a weekend at the lodge.one word"perfect".if you want to get back to nature a stroll through the woods and round the lochs meeting only the occasional walker and cyclist. then this place is for you, if you want to visit for a more lively scene aviemore town centre is only a short stroll away. then this place is for you. the lodge has everything you could wish for. scrupulously clean well stocked and as a previous poster has said the hd 70 inch projector/surround sound system will keep you entertained if the weather turns nasty.will be returning next year.cheers john

It's all about location, comfort and a hide away to relax.

Left on 05/03/2011 for a stay in February 2010

I arrived with Grandpa, sister, 3 children (and another on its way) surrounded by the most wonderful winter wonderland. Spey Lodge is nestled into an incredible national forest and when we were there it was heavy with snow and the sun shone through the gaps in the trees.
The house its self is so well designed, not just in its location but also it allows you to be part of its landscape when inside as the large windows flood the light into each space and every room. The huge kitchen joins on to the sun-bathed sitting room and dining area, which are perfect living spaces for adults and children to be together in comfort. All the bedrooms are spacious, light, and cosy. Shower room, bathroom, and WC are all clean modern and newly fitted to a very high standard.
The laundry room is a great space to dump damp and wet clothes.
Our stay was so enjoyable, relaxing, and comfortable that if given the choice I would go back every year, if it has not already booked!

Knowing you can walk 40 miles without crossing a road

Left on 04/26/2011 for a stay in April 2011

I have known this house for many years. 2 hours from Edinburgh and five minutes from the bustle of aviemore yet it is in the Rothiemurchus Forest. I love the space with the forest coming to the house - I have laid in bed with red squirrels at the window and ospreys overhead. Go five minutes into the woods and sit under a tree and if you are lucky you will see Roe Deer and even black grouse. Or put on your walking boots or skis and go due east - forty miles to the next road, but you have to cross the Cairngorms on the way. I have canoed the Spey, skied and paraglided from the Caingorms, shot lots of clays at Rothiemurchus and lots of special times with family and friends (from a few days old to well into the 80's). The house has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, but lost none of it's magic. Best of all it doesn't have any midges!

      Fantastic facilities and perfect space

Left on 04/26/2011 for a stay in March 2011

I travelled to Spey lodge with a corporate away weekend. The facilities were fantastic and views and walks in the area beautiful. The space inside the lodge were set out perfectly and the kitchen very well equipped. The pull down cinema screen was perfect for presentations (and for the guys to watch some footie later on) I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get away from it all, but also great for getting that team spirit back into your business.
