Melbourne, AustraliaWonderful avignon
Left on 03/03/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This delightful apartment is very comfortable and eminently situated less than 5 minutes walk to at least 3 very good restaurants, a cafe and a very friendly corner supermarket. The apartment is within the precinct of the old city and about 15 minutes from the university and the Palais de Papes.
It is also an easy 15 minute walk to the train station just outside the walls of the old town.
The owners aude and Simon took great care in making sure everything was just right - I found them a delight to deal with. And, everything was indeed just right - I would go back in a flash to this apartment and to avignon.
This is a heritage listed city and you feel a wonderful sense of history in walking through the streets.
I must give a balanced appraisal - here are some things I didn't like - I didn't like leaving! - that's it! -

We rented a lovely little apartment from a fabulous couple who live a block away. They stock it with every amenity and consideration you could want, and basically want it as comfortable as if they were living there themselves. They clearly take great pride in it and make the extra effort. I mean, to the point where all I could suggest in our wrap up conversation was that the carving knives be sharpened. That's a great apartment. We had a totally private balcony facing east (sunrise/moonrise), and a fine little kitchen we filled with goodies from provençal markets. The location, in the SE corner of the old city, is ideally located across the funky Rue des Teintnuriers, which connects directly to the main market - Les Halles. All the appliances worked perfectly, and there were loads of plates, glasses and tableware. A total delight.

Hermanus, South AfricaBest apartment during our entire European trip!
Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We actually booked the owners' other apartment, however a day before our arrival they informed us that the apartment had water damage due to a burst geiser. They offered this apartment, and what a wonderful experience! The owner (Aude) was there to meet us personally and "check us in". They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, we were even given a bottle of wine! The apartment is cosy, beautifully decorated, clean with all new modern amentities and equipment. The terrace was a real treat; we enjoyed relaxing there with a glass of wine after exploring avignon and Provence during the time we spent there - we will definately return. Well done aude!!

We could not have dreamt of a better place to stay in avignon.
Although we had a quick visit to avignon, the city is worth going back to. For sure we want to stay over at aude and Simone's beautiful apartment again. They took care of us, gave valuable hints and tips of things to visit in avignon and surroundings.
The apartment is very cosy, super clean and has got a charming interior. Aude and Simone thought of everything: phone, TV, wifi internet, airco, fully equipped kitchen...
This is a really recommendable place!

Perth, Western AustraliaCosy home away from home.

We totally loved this bright and cosy little place that has all the comforts of home, and furnished with French flair. Our hosts aude and Simon were warm, welcoming and helpful, thoughtfully providing breakfast provisions for our first day and a very thorough information pack, which included restaurant recommendations (by other guests) and a list of simple French words and phrases - which we put to good use.
The apartment's location is fantastic - within 15 minutes walk to the bus and train stations, the city center, tourist office and Papal Palace - the main tourist attraction in avignon. We were able to easily explore the surrounding towns by bus and train. There are several good bistros and restaurants nearby, and a very good Indian restaurant right next door!
