Left on 10/31/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The fact we actually got to use this property because of the problems brought on by hurricane Irene was attributable to Colony Realty's diligence and good customer service. All the Realty/rental agents were pushed to the limit during this situation created by mother nature. Don't 'judge the book by the cover' with this house. Outside it is a bit weathered and could use some TLC. Inside it appears to have had some good care and recent renovating. Kitchen stuff and the usual amenities were adequate to very nice. Could use a new toaster & no dish drain for the sink. Dryer vent needs cleaning and this was mentioned to Colony. When it rained a bunch the house became an Island. The main stairs inside from the 1st floor to the main floor are steep and have a short tred be careful. Would I recommend to a friend... with caveats, yes. Rental is a good value. Close to beach. Halfway between Hatteras and avon.
