Overall a well located and reasonable value for money vacation h

Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012

A great location, around 10 minutes from a nice park and ayr beach. Parking on site is good. The bedrooms were well furnished and well equipped, Tv's in each room too. A small seating area out back looking onto a well decorated and ornate garden. No area in the garden for the kids to play. A few essential items were missing from the kitchen, a mop,a decent frying pan, a fish slice (ever tried flipping an egg with a spoon!) and a few other small kitchen items that would have really helped, especially as I spend a lot of my vacation time in the kitchen,. The furniture in the main room was a little dated but generally clean & comfortable. We have leased houses each summer for over 16 years all over the United Kingdom and overall this was slightly above average in terms of value for money. No wi-fo and properties at this price range typically have this included.

Loved every minute of our stay

My family and I used the coach house as a home base for day trips around southern and central Scotland. It was our first trip and we had a wonderful time. The coach was far more than I expected. Beautiful backyard to enjoy an evening beverage, lots of sun inside and plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable. Both Hue and Elizabeth are both personable and available for questions or assistance. Thank you !

      A home from home

Left on 06/15/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Before arrival phone calls were helpful and friendly. We were met on arrival and shown around. A few additional items that we thought we might need were immediately provided and when a plumbing problem developed early on Saturday morning it was attended to straight away and with good humour. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and downstairs the rooms could be adapted for many uses. As we were organising my daughters wedding from the house it was being used by family, friends, hairdressers, florists etc and the well equipped centrally located kitchen could provide drinks and food to all the other rooms without anyone getting in the way.

The house is located in a pleasant, quiet area of ayr within walking distance of the centre. Luckily it is is easily found as we had many visitors whilst we were there.

The best thing about the house was its adaptability. My only criticism was the lack of a second shower/bathroom. With a house full of women preparing for a wedding a second shower would have been nice.

A fabulous house and gardens making our break excellent

Left on 05/06/2011 for a stay in April 2011

We hired the cottage while we were up for our daughters wedding, it was in an ideal situation just being a comfortable 10 minute stroll into town.
We were very impressed when we arrived, the house was spotless and very nicely decorated and furnished we could not fault it.
On arrival we were greeted by Elizabeth who had left us some wine and chocolates which was a nice touch. The rooms were all a great size with plenty storage space.
The garden with the duck pond was idyllic and a little sun trap which considering the time of year we had a week of sunshine every day.
We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family and would love to visit here again.

Fantastic Accommodation – would not hesitate to recommend

Left on 03/30/2011 for a stay in February 2011

This holiday home will not disappoint you. Its in a great location within easy walking distance of the town centre.

We used it as a base for an extended stay to attend a family wedding. Hue was very accommodating with fitting in with our arrival requirements, making sure the heating was on before the first car load of people arrived.

Chocolates, wine, sweets and flowers were all there to welcome us!

All the rooms in the house are of a good size - especial the living room, which is massive - all with high ceilings too. We were a party of 7 and felt we had bags of space. The fixtures, fittings, equipment and cleanliness in the house are all of a very high standard.

We were all very impressed, and are very much looking forward to returning in hopefully the not too distant future.

The level of service provided by the owners is second to none - communication regarding the receipt of confirmations / payments etc was spot on, and the return of a couple of items accidentally left behind was attended to promptly!

Big thank-you guys for having such a lovely 'home from home' available.

Final advice... if you want good quality, spacious accommodation in or near to Ayr - if The Coach House is available... book it quick!
