Lino and Ornella are wonderful hosts! From the moment we arrived in Bagni San Filippo, we felt at home. The language barrier (we speak minimal Italian) was a hindrance, but thankfully for us another tenant spoke English very well, as well as my being able to communicate with her a bit in German. The house we rented was called Cascatella, and it was absolutely delightful. Very small, but for us that was no concern. It had a kitchen, a queen sized bed, and ample bathroom space. A dip in the thermal springs pool on the property was just what we needed after returning back from a day of walking and sight-seeing. The setting of Bagni San Filippo cannot be beat! A small village located on a hill about two hours south of Florence and two hours north of Rome, it was exactly what we were hoping we would find to get a true experience of rural Tuscan life. The people were friendly, and the scenery was like a painting. If you're looking for a true Tuscan experience, we wholeheartedly recommend visiting Bagni San Filippo and allowing Lino and Ornella show you the true meaning of Tuscan hospitality.
