My family has been staying at the house on Alvarado for several years. The house is roomy and comfortable. The best part is the location of the house to the bay and fun zone for our grandchildren. The only downside to the house is it needs some screen doors and a few floor fans. We usually stay three weeks but next year we will only be staying two weeks due to the cost.

Aside from recommending skipping the Spaghetti Factory if you have a large group, everything was great! We even found parking spaces most days!

I almost don't want to say how good it was because I want it to be available next time we rent a beach house! Great location - an easy walk t the beach but far enough away that we didn't have to deal with all the noise and foot traffic. Beautiful home - thanks for sharing it!

We have been renting for over 30 years. We have always had the last 2 weeks in July. Now we are getting dates closer and closer to June. Why the switch????? A lady in you office said it had to do with calendar and we would be moving into June then eventually May. How crazy is this???????

My only reason for NOT recommending this property would be that I don't want anyone else usurping "my" house! Over the past 48 years, we've stayed in a number of different rentals, and this has been our favorite. Even the neighbors are pleasant and friendly, which is a rarity, as "tourists" are often unappreciated by the locals.

What a wonderful place to spend a week with family. We parked our car and rarely drove it after we arrived. 327 Alvarado is large, with space for multiple activities at one time. Whether it's board games, cards, watching TV, or cooking, there was great space for all activities. A wonderful beach ideal for toddlers is only 100 feet away. Sand castles, forts, and wading in water was our favorite. The ocean was 5 blocks away and great for several visits during the week. 327 Alvarado is located within walking distrance of the Balboa Fun Zone, Balboa ferry, Balboa Pier - and every evening we were off on a family walk peering in rich Bay Front Home windows, riding merry-go-rounds, boat watching, and checking out the fishing on the pier. Disneyland was about a 45 minute drive. Great time!
