A charming, picturesque haven for couples looking to get away from it all this property offers self-contained accommodation in the wing of the owner’s home. The accommodation is all laid out over a single level and the living space has been arranged in an open-plan style. For hazy summer evenings there is a rear patio and an enclosed garden. In the winter months central heating makes this a cosy little getaway from which you can enjoy all that the region has to offer. There is parking for one car and the nearest amenities are only a couple of miles away.

Amenities: Electric radiators. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, fla...t screen TV with Freeview and DVD, radio/CD, library of books/games/DVDs. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Private patio garden with garden furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 2 miles.

Region: With many quaint, seaside and market towns, historic sites and miles of glorious coastline to explore, Sussex has it all for a great holiday destination.

Town: Balcombe is one of the quintessentially English villages that surround Haywards Heath. It is situated in the heart of the High Weald and has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village itself is well-served by a range of shops, a tea-room and a pub, The Cowdray, which uses local produce to create dishes such as ‘Slow-cooked Old Spot Pork Belly’ – well worth a visit. The National Trust cares for a number of attractions in the area, such as Nymans Garden and Wakehurst Place – a vast stately home, set in stunning grounds. There are plenty of walks to be taken in the Weald Valley and many opportunities to spot wild-life in it's natural habitat. To travel further afield you can catch a train; London is just three quarters of an hour away and the seaside entertainment of Brighton is less than half an hour.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Friendly owners.
  Easy reach to Brighton and Londen, take the train
  from Balcombe station.

  Lovely to find such a pretty cottage in a rural setting yet close to many places of interest. It was just the right size for 2 of us, and we have found too few properties like this. Other than this it seems too long ago to give many more details, a pity we didn't have the opportunity nearer the time!

  Situated in a beautiful part of the Sussex Weald our holiday property was far better than than the photo led us to believe. It was comfortable, well-equipped and had beautiful views. The owners could not have been more helpful. It was extremely well located for a range of days out - for National Trust members there was almost too much choice. Kent, East and West Sussex were all easily accessible with beautiful scenery, coastal and inland, and a number of intersting places to visit. Certainly excellent value for money - I hope we will return there in the future.
