My husband and I recently rented this cottage while attending a family wedding on BHI. My main criteria in choosing was an ocean view and this choice did not disappoint. The ocean was visable from the first level but from the porch off the master bedroom one had a spectacular view of the dunes and ocean.
The decor was lovely...light, airy and cheerful with many personal and nautical/beach themed touches. I loved the color scheme on the lower level: greens and blues. There is a porch on the first floor with a swing and rockers providing ocean views, another porch off the master bedroom and a screened in porch with a teak dining table.
A gas grill and picnic table are available in a small fenced area off the back porch.
Access to the beach is via a walkway over the dunes right off your front porch.
Internet service was great.
We did have an issue starting the gas fireplace as well as getting cable to come in on the downstairs HD flatscreen. The kitchen has all utensils needed, all appliances and a small wine cooler.There were several beach chairs available, one bike and a 4 person golf cart.
I thought it was a great price for the views, location and accomodations. Overall it was clean. It is a great location about midway on the island.
