Waterlily - Tranquil House near Manly

The house is located in Balgowlah Heights, it is a 5 minute walk away from the beach, beautiful scenic walks and many great restaurants and attractions.

The house has 4 large bright bedrooms, the main bedroom has a walk in robe, King bed and en suite bathroom, the other rooms are also large and airy and all have a lovey garden aspect. The third bedroom has a Queen Bed, the second bedroom is very large and has two single beds and the fourth room is slightly smaller and has 1 single bed, however will accommodate a mattress if required.

The house has a large living area with a large top of the range plasma television with surrou...nd sound, i-pod dock, wireless high speed internet, massage chair and stereo system.

There is a lovely seperate dining area that opens up onto the BBQ and outdoor eating area, the dining room seats 8. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including a magimix and everything you would need for a stay. The kitchen also has a Bosch dishwasher and washing maching and a very large fridge with a filtered water and ice machine.

The kitchen also has the basic essentials for your stay - salt, garbage bags, pasta etc...

The garden is beautifully landscaped and has a tranquil fish pond with a waterfall, you can spend the days lazing in the hammock or relaxing in the quiet private oasis. There is a lovely outdoor BBQ area and table setting.

The bus stop is within a 100m walk of the house with buses direct to Manly (10 min) or direct into the city (30min, dependant on traffic). Manly Wharf is a 25 minute walk away. There is lots of on street parking and a free local bus that runs down the road taking you around the area (Hop, Skip and Jump bus).

Many local attractions are within a 5 minute walk of the house, the famous Manly to Spit walk is on the doorstep, Forty baskets beach is a 5 minute walk away and North Harbour Reserve is the perfect place for an afternnon picnic or BBQ. Lovely walks and runs are abundant as you leave the property. There are many playgrounds within a 5 minute walk of the house for children.

For the active person you can hire bycycles in Manly, hire boats at the Spit or hire kayaks in Manly, all of this is an easy drive or walk away!

Many restaurants and cafe and bars are within a 5 minute drive or 5 minute walk of the property. There is a local shopping centre 2 km away which has a small supermarket, deli, chemist and post office, however there is a large shopping mall within a 5 minute drive. Stockland shopping centre has a large Coles supermarket as well as a number of speciality stores. Located at the centre is a Fitness First for those wanting a gym.

The hosue is centrally located on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Forty Baskets Beach and North Harbour reserve is a 5 minute walk, the Manly to Spit sceneic walk is on your doorstep. The bus leaves directly from the house to all destinations in Sydney. A shopping centre and fitness center is a 5 minute drive away as well as some of Sydney's greatest restaurants and bars. The ferry into the city is a lovely scenic 25 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.

  My son and I stayed at Waterlily, with our two dogs for 4 weeks, after moving out of our Sydney home, enroute to Singapore and it truly was a home from home. The house was fully equipped, the beds were very comfortable, as was all the furniture. The house was immaculate and so was the very pretty fully enclosed garden. The house is close to Manly and Sydney city, I would say a car be helpful, although there was a bus stop close to the house. Make sure if you stay you visit Tania Park, a short distance from the house, it has some fantastic views. Linda and Mike were very helpful and responded very quickly to any of our requests, thank you for a great stay.

  Our family of 4 adults and 3 children stayed at Waterlily in November 2012. We had a blast while we were in that house. It was absolutely spotless and beautiful. There was plenty of space and entertainment for everyone. There was even a massage chair that everyone enjoyed.
  
  The house comes with a front loader washing machine, dishwasher, laundry dryer, toaster, sandwich maker, oven, electric stove top, electric kettle, rice cooker and so many other electrical kitchen goodies, There's also an aircond and a heater in the living room. Her kitchen also has sauces, rice, herbs, salt, pepper, breakfast jams, coffee, tea and a lot more.
  
  It is a house well loved and looked after by Linda and Mike. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about booking.
  
  p/s: There's also Wifi, a computer and plenty of books and Dvds that we could freely use.
