We spent 2 full weeks in Villa Kavya and truly loved it! The villa is tucked away in a nice and quiet street, just off the road from Seminyak to Canggu. This location provides a quiet environment for relaxing, while it takes only 10 minutes on a scooter to get to all the great restaurants and shopping of Seminyak.
The villa itself has some of the best amenities we have found at this price level in Bali. This being the third time we rented such a place, we feel that does say something. The overall quality of materials used and the thought put into the layout sets this one apart. The bedrooms are great and the bathrooms are stunning. The pool features a separate kids pool, which was truly ideal for us given the fact we brought 2 young kids (2, 1) with us. The views of the surrounding rice fields from the master bedroom are amazing as well.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The dinner menu was limited and we found it better to brief the chef ourselves on our preferences, but we were unable to find a dish he could not cook to perfection.
Bali is a crowded place and getting to nature takes a lot of time on clogged roads. So if you are looking for an active holiday, perhaps consider finding something in the north of the island. So now we are working on expanding the menu to reflect better the Chef's abilities and to give our guests a greater choice. But as you say, he is happy to cook almost anything for you!!

First of all, the pictures on their website does not do justice to Villa Kavya. When walking through the front door ones enters a magical place of peace and relaxation. The layout is perfect. A large pool, a wading pool, a sundeck to one side and a good size lawn to play ball games on in the Centre, and bedrooms on the other side. The open dining and seating area gives full overview of the whole place, making it a breeze to let the kids room around as they please. The Master bedroom upstairs is
It is not the most luxurious villa we have stayed in, but then again nothing was missing either. With four bedrooms it is perfect for two small families or one family with a couple of additional friends or family members.
Location at first seems a bit remote, but it really isn't. it is 10 min walk to the nearest beach. We did the walk, but did not go there for swimming. Beach looked fine and there are restaurants and surfing available. With the friendliest house driver we've ever come across we decided to go to the white sandy beaches of Seminyak and Kuta, which were fifteen and twenty minutes drive respectively.
Lastly the staff at the villa were amazing!! There were smiles all round at all times and nothing was ever a problem. The food was great, the bbq was amazing, we even had it two nights in a row! And should one want a change of scenery Canggu plaza is three minutes walk up the road and there are three very cozy restaurants. There is also a grocery shop at Canggu plaza that carries a product range you'd expect to find in Singapore.
We will be back!
