Cottage open, ready and warm when we arrived. Housekeeper called to check everything was in order for us and told about amenities in the area. The cottage was well equipped and the garden secure for the dogs. Views from the lounge window very pleasant looking over the fields to the sea,a deer walking through the field pleased the dogs. Lots of very good beaches in the area for walking.

Wirral, Merseysidea delightful place
Left on 06/23/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We were met at the cottage by a lady who had been watching for our arrival. She answered our questions about the local ameneties and wished us a good week. The cottage itself was charmimg, although felt a bit musty at first, perhaps we were the first to stay this season.
It was lovely and spacious with a long lawn at the back. There were no other holiday makers at the other three cottages so it was very quiet although we did see farm workers morning and night. The shops at Ballantrae were only minutes up the road and the view over to " Ailsa Craig" was wonderful. We visited Girvan, Ayr, Stranraer and Portpatrick. Altogether a really pleasant week.Farmyard smells were a bit strong at times! Plug in air fresheners in the cottage did the trick though. -

Penrith, CumbriaA relaxing break in an excellent location
Left on 11/19/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The internal layout of the cottage was spacious yet cosy and was very well equipped. The garden was fantastic being spacious, safely enclosed and private. It was brilliant to be able to bring our dogs which are very much a part of the family. I particularly valued the welcome we received which was helpful yet non intrusive. It was very reassuring to know that help was on hand if needed but you were otherwise left alone to enjoy your holiday.
