Wow. An immaculate two bed apartment in a sympathetic conversion. The high ceilings are lovely. The king sized bed in the master is one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Despite being near a main road, it is blissfully quiet and the only thing you can hear is the River Dee. The living room has wonderful views over the garden and the river dee and there is direct access to the garden. The apartment is extremely well equipped with very high quality bedding, towels and china.

Ballater is an excellent base for walking and hiking, road cycling and mountain biking, visiting Balmoral and lots of other attractions. The apartment is within walking distance to many nice restaurants, coffee shops and shops.
I am a keen road cyclist and the apartment boasts secure indoor cycle storage - a must for anyone who loves their bike. The apartment and access is all on one level which might prove useful for anyone with mobility problems or with young children.
Our hosts were lovely and met us on arrival, gave lots of good recommendations and tips - like trying the venison pie from the nearby butchers and coffee at Rock Salt and Snails.
The apartment also has wifi which is very handy! Better than a lot of hotels we have stayed in. -

The views from this apartment exceeded expectations. Right on the banks of the River Dee there are great views from the lovely bay window and the rear doors that open onto the garden. It overlooks the Victorian road bridge which isn't the main road so not very busy.
Located on the edge of Ballater means everything in town is within easy reach, with 2 great restaurants just across the road.
The apartment is very well equipped with everything you could need. A real home from home.
There was snow on the hills and very cold temperatures during our visit, but the electric heating could be boosted to make it nice and warm inside the apartment.
Access is very easy and level being on the ground floor with plenty of disabled parking spaces and ramp to the front door. The doors are all wide enough for wheel chair / push chair access.
The owners are very helpful and friendly.
We had a lovely holiday and the area of the southern Cairngorms / Deeside is gorgeous.
I would highly recommended this apartment.
