The local area is very suitable for anybody who is interested in walking or hill walking as the local roads are relatively traffic free . Go to Caherciveen , continue on ring of Kerry road for 3 miles , take right turn just before Sheehans shop and follow signs for Valentia for 1 mile , then cross little bridge and take left hand fork and follow sign to St Finans Bay . Travel for another 6 miles until you come to church on RHS . The property is across the road from the church . It has a sign a house sign Tig Na Cille on Gate pillar

We stayed at this cottage for 3 nights/days in 8-11th Sept - with our son Bryan and family - we are from South africa and it was our first trip to County Kerry: we were so reluctant to leave. The cottage is absolutely spotless, and so well equipped - even a Wedgwood dinner service, which seldom happens in a rental, so we were very impressed. Everything was perfect and rate this very highly. Thank you so much

Banbury, UK10th anniversary holiday in our honeymoon cottage

We first stayed in this cottage 10 years ago while on honeymoon. Our return visit found an almost unrecognisable house. The renovation was fantastic. The common area is now huge and encompasses the kitchen, dining area, and a sitting area with views out to the Skelligs. It was a nice big area for our toddler to run around in. There is also a room at the front of the house, but with only three of us we rarely went in there. The four ensuite bedrooms were nicely decorated.
We asked for a stairgate, cot, and high chair and all were duly provided. The bathroom downstairs had a bathtub for our son to use and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer made it a very easy and comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable and there was extra bedding if we wanted it. On the warmer days the garden out the back was a good place to hang out.
The house is a five minute walk from the beach and the Skellig Chocolate Factory. There are significantly more people around in august than there was 10 years ago, but it still doesn't feel crowded and we were very happy to see the chocolate factory was still going and had even expanded. It is a 15-20 minute drive to the nearest shop and petrol station.
The weather is a bit hit and miss, but that is true anywhere in the UK or Ireland. We wanted a nice, quiet holiday and were very pleased with our second stay here. -

Have had several great family holidays in Rathkerin in Finians bay. The location is excellent, with Finians bay being the most beautiful spot
on the Skellig Ring. The house is within a few hundred metres of a great beach, particularly good if you like a beach with
some waves, or like surfing. There is also a small shop right by the house.
We found the house to be spacious and very well turned out with a great living area and kitchen, looking onto a large
private back garden and with a view of the sea. Basically this is a great spot if you like getting out and doing stuff like
walking, climbing, cycling, fishing, swimming, surfing... and with a designated driver or taxi, its a short hop to the Fisherman's Bar in Portmagee
of an evening...
