NeussRelaxing weekend in the beautiful scenery of Kerry
Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in August 2009
Our long weekend in Ballinskelligs was fantastic. The house has all the comforts one wishes to have and we soon felt at home there. The view is amazing and we often spent a lot of time at the beach. It's great for walks, to go swimming and for children to play there. With our car we went on little trips and I really can recommend the small chocolate factory at St. Finian's Bay. The pub Cable O'Leary's is also worth a visit. The whole weekend was very relaxing and I'm looking forward to go there again!

CorkBeautiful location, stunning beach, lovely house
Left on 06/14/2011 for a stay in October 2010
My husband and I stayed in the Beachside House in Ballinskelligs last October. This house is located five minutes from a fantastic private beach, that boasts clean clear safe waters, and miles of golden sand! The house itself is bright big and airy, boasting fantastic views of the beach, especially from the Master Bedroom. At night, you can fall asleep to the lullaby of the sea! The Master Bedroom has an ensuite and a connecting door through to a second bedroom. The main feature of this house is the Main living area connecting to the Kitchen. The views from downstairs are just incredible. The house itself stocked all we required, and is maintained to the highest standards. I just love the high beamed ceilings! The local amenities are fab too. There are so many fantastic day trips to take, including a chocolate factory, along the Skellig drive. There is a unique candle shop, and some fabulous restaurants, both in Cahirciveen the local town, or across the windy mountain toward Valentia! Each morning my husband and I walked the endless strand, and reached the lovely coffee shop, where we indulged in scones with cream and Jam. We brought our bikes with us, and there are some fabulous windy kerry boreens to explore all around the area, including a cyle to "rosies", a lovely pub just up the road, or even a trip to the artists gallery! Most evenings we would stroll the beach once again and end up (suprisingly), at the pub at the end of the beach called Cable O Learys. Cables serves some lovely food, and we often ate there. It really is a magical place, an escape from the "rat race", where time stands still both for tourists and the locals. In my view the beach and the house are the main attractions, and the only non attraction, was how fast our holiday came to an end.

DublinFabulous Birthday Weekend in Ballinskelligs
Left on 05/18/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed in this house whilst I visited Ballinskelligs for my 30th Birthday. Our experience was wonderful! Not only was the weather lovely but we had all the comforts of a home. All of our needs were met and much more.
We were impressed by how close we were to the beach, the view was spectacular just from the house. The views from this house are beautiful in any weather.
We were within walking distance of the local pub Cable O' Learys where there was plenty craic and ceol all the weekend. The locals are friendly and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and we look forward to a return trip
