To secure the apartment we would ask you to pay a £100 deposit.

This deposit serves as a booking/damage deposit and is fully refundable on your fulfilling your booking and on your leaving the apartment in the same excellent condition it was received in.

  We had a fantastic stay in the Marine 19 apartment. Eileen, the local rep from the property management group met us - she was about 5 minutes early. Very pleasant lady who gave us a thorough orientation of the property. The apartment was a beautiful two bedroom and...it looks exactly like the pictures. The location is perfect, right down by the harbor and within easy walk to just about everything from the strand clear up to the diamond!
  
  The only issue we had, and this is because electricity is different in the States, we had to tinker with the shower a bit before we realized their was a cord to pull to get access to hot water, and we couldn't get the bedroom flatscreen DVD player to work - but I think that is because we couldn't figure out how to turn on electricity to the unit (we should have asked Eileen before hand).
  
  The unit has satelight TV which was nice, it also has a small and varied DVD library which was another big plus. There is a great balcony too, which was a nice bonus - as well as the fact that the apartment complex was gated, so secure parking was no issue at all.
  
  We only had two small issues with the place. The first was that the fridge (a great, large, super modern stainless steel unit) seemed to make a lot of noise...it wasn't disruptive or anything, just noticeable...it sort of moo'd like a cow from time to time.
  
  Also, the DVD in the family room seemed to lag...you'd be watching a DVD and all of a sudden, it would pause for 1 to 10 seconds...continue playing, then would pause again...this happened - at times every 10 seconds - and basically made the DVD player in the lounge useless.
  
  But here is what I would say - this is a beautiful apartment, in a great location, in a great town and you should be out exploring or in the pubs rather than hanging at home. We loved this place and had a great experience. This was trip #5 to Ballycastle for me and in future I will likely always stay at the Marine 19.

  We always take guest feedback on board and will be addressing each of the points raised:
  
  1) Apologies for the DVD Player in the lounge sticking – the player is only 4 month old and should not be doing this - we have organised to get it replaced and that will be done this week.
  2) The DVD Player in the master bedroom switches on behind the bed and we will ensure that Eileen makes future guests aware of the switch location when showing around the apartment
  3) Re the fridge, it is a modern fridge and has been PAT tested but unfortunately this sporadic ‘humming’ is appears to be a trait
