Nancy- Franceun chez-soi à Baltimore
Left on 05/13/2013 for a stay in May 2013

Philadelphia, PABeautiful, reasonable place in great area!!
Left on 05/02/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had a wedding in the area last weekend and booked the Empire House for Saturday night. The free parking behind the house was key and it is so very convenient to almost anywhere in the city. The room was so beautiful we wished we would have come in Friday night! Thomas was very accommodating and friendly. I will absolutely be going back to the Empire House in the near future, maybe a girls weekend in Baltimore?!?!

Washington, DCBeautiful, Charming, Convenient accommodations

The Empire House is a beautiful, historic mansion in the heart of Baltimore. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance of both the Penn Station amtrak stop and Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The surrounding neighborhood is safe and charming. It's the perfect location for a leisurely weekend stroll.
We stayed in the Mansard Suite on the third floor, which is spacious, and could easily accommodate two couples, or a family traveling with children. The whole house is clean and well-maintained, and contains many conveniences to make your stay more comfortable (e.g., hair dryer, Keurig coffee machine, Brita pitcher, wine bottle opener).
The owners were very accommodating, informative, and friendly. They helpfully agreed to extend our check-out time by an hour in order to accommodate our travel plans, and made check-in and check-out a breeze. I would definitely recommend at stay at the Empire House! Thank you, Thomas! -

Left on 03/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013
As the title states, my wife and I were amazed by the luxurious accommodations the Empire House offered us.
The Monument Suite gave us privacy and ample room to relax when not out exploring Baltimore.
We would stay again in a heart beat!
Thank you Thomas! -

New Orleans, LouisianaMagnificent!
Left on 07/22/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My only regret about my stay at the Empire House is that it was only one night! This is a magnificent home; the rooms are quiet, comfortable and elegant. Additionally, Thomas and Larry are very accommodating and pleasant hosts. Their insights into Baltimore's rich culture and history greatly enriched our visit, so much so that we hope to return again soon. Highly recommend!

Left on 06/03/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Really had a great stay at the Empire Home! The owners were very informative and welcoming. They made sure that we were comfortable and that all of our questions were answered. The home was right next to the Charm City Circulator (steps away) from free bust transportation downtown. A block or so away from a 24 hour convenience store and just in the heart of Mt Vernon!
The space we stayed on in the 3rd floor was very spacious, clean, and quiet. We had such a nice time and they made you feel right at home. We even were offered to come check in earlier if wanted. I really had a great time and it felt like staying at a nice luxurious home away from home.
Communicating was a bit taxing through the FlipKey site; however, we worked through the communication stall, but it took off from there once all the key questions were answered. The website was informative and you definitely get what you pay for and more! -

It was great to hang out in a great old mansion right in the neighborhood we wanted to be in, and have all the updated conveniences. The rooms are well decorated with curiosities and lovely antiques and the people we met were so nice!

New York, NYBeautiful place, but not fun for a 1 night stay with a 2 month o
Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We stayed here for 1 night, and brought our 2 month old. After his first car ride, we were too tired to worry about unloading the entire car (full because of our long road trip ahead of us)... but were told that to be safe, we should unload everything.
For a brief 1 night stay, it was way too much trouble. Also, our 2nd floor room was pretty cold, it didn't seem like the heat was on at night. We were too exhausted to wake anyone up to ask about it.
We ended up getting take out at an excellent kabob place around the corner. In fact went back for lunch in the morning since it was the quickest thing close by.
All that being said, it was a beautiful old home and would probably be a nice weekend away without a baby!

The Empire House is my first choice whenever I visit Baltimore. I fell in love the first time I walked through the door and I have been equally enamored on each return visit. It is grand, dramatic and beautifully decorated. Tom & Larry, the owners, welcome each visitor in as though they were family. They are sincere, gracious and strike the perfect balance between attending to each guest and providing space and privacy. The rooms are perfectly outfitted and extremely comfortable, with beautiful drapes, luxury bedding and attention given to every detail.

I stayed here for two weeks while taking courses at Johns Hopkins. It was perfect for me. The price was cheaper than a hotel, and it was conveniently located close to the Johns Hopkins shuttle.
The suite was beautiful-- hardwood floors, high ceilings, and nicely decorated. It was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with anything you might need. It was great to have a separate office with wireless internet.
The owners were available for any questions or concerns, and sincerely wanted to make my stay as confortable as possible.
This is the perfect place to stay for anyone needing to be in Baltimore for a chunk of time.

I just got back from my trip from Baltimore and i had to make this review.
I stayed in the corporate apartment and was lucky enough to experience 3 days of pure comfort and charm. It is furnished very well and with style and everything was provided. The bed had lots of fluffy pillows and warm soft comforter to make your nights the most comfortable.
There is a tv inthe apartment but i spent also alot of time reading my book in the parlor surrounded by exquisite furnishing in absolute peace.
Such an amazing experience. Nothing can really express how wonderful my experience was. I would definetely recommend it and i will be staying only at the Empire House when visiting Baltimore again.
Thank you Thomas for offering such a great place! I hope to see visit again soon. -

Piqua, OhioWonderful Baltimore Experience
Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The corporate apartment at the Empire House was a wonderful space to stay in. Being a short term (3 months) intern for the summer made finding housing slightly difficult, but Tom was more than accommodating and the apartment coming furnished was extremely helpful. If anything was needed, Tom was quick to have it fixed or looked at.
The location of the Empire House is wonderful. Many Mount Vernon activities are within walking distance to the house. Movies in the park, farmers market, local bars and restaurants are all in a close vicinity.
The entire house is breathtaking and quite wonderful to come home to after a day at work. I would highly recommend staying at the Empire House on your next trip to Baltimore.
