Just a couple of miles up the coast at Budle Bay is a renowned ornithological delight. The bay has been designated a site of Special Scientific Interest by English Nature, famous for gulls, wading birds, ducks, geese and many other varieties of migrant birds. We have been lucky enough to stay a few times at Greystead all of which have been truly memorable. We had two weeks in summer 2012 one week we shared with my sister and her family, Greystead is ideal for two families with masses of room for the kids to play and chill out. The location of Greystead is outstanding with a short stroll in the morning for coissant and a paper, which means you rarely have to get the car out. Bamburgh has excellent shops and ofcourse the best beech!! In short Greystead is a gem of a house and I have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

Stayed here in November 2012 with friends. The house is fantastic and kitted out to the the highest standard. The decor is beautiful and is perfect for its location. Location wise, its great. A few minutes from the beach with views of The Green and the Castle. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly require and the essentials waiting in the fridge when you arrive are a lovely touch. We will be back in 2013 for sure and will reccommend to one and all :)

11 of us [3 generations] stayed for two nights in late September 2012.
We were all agreed that this house is outstanding in its layout, its complete array of modern amenities, its modern furnishings, its comfort, and the obvious high level of cleanliness and maintenance. However exacting your tastes in holiday accommodation, they will be met in "Greystead". It is not cheap-but it is worth every penny. We will surely return and (hopefully) for longer.
