BerkhamstedA very pleasant surprise!
Left on 04/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Although out of town so there's no quick trip to the shops of pub the upside is that there is no noise (other than the gentle sound of running water from the stream behind the property). Once inside we were totally taken aback by the size of the accommodation and the standard to which it was fitted out. Everything you could want - washing machine, fridge/freezer - even a dishwasher (could have done with a bit more crockery and cutlery). Everything was spotless and there was the added thoughtful touch of a pint of milk, some biscuits and a bottle of wine left by the owner. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely stay. Lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Location is convenient for aberdeen, stunning scenery and of course golf! Owner couldn't have been more helpful and available.

MusselburghVery comfortable, quiet and spacious
Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We were very impressed with Pine Lodge West. There's good separation between cottages, the area is quiet and there's ample parking. Nights were cool so the excellent insulation paid off and very little heating was needed. It's about a half-hour to aberdeen and in the other direction aboyne and Ballater were worth a visit. The area is very scenic. We usually take a cottage two or three times per year and this was probably our best in the past five years. Mobile phone coverage was non-existent for T-Mobile (though Vodafone and O2 work, apparently) Once we got the wifi code for Greenpark, though, we were able to use email and the internet (albeit a bit slowly) and this helped a lot. We may well visit again - if so I'll take a Vodafone mobile! For utilities, Freeview TV and dab radio are both good.

EdinburghWarm, comfortable and peaceful
Left on 11/10/2010 for a stay in October 2010
All you require from a holiday. Space, comfort, warmth and peace and quiet. 2 miles from the bustling town of Banchory which can cater for all your needs. Award winning Fish and Chip shop, very good Chinese and Indian take aways, and a Tesco almost completed construction. Raemoir pancakes and syrup a must as is the Feugh restaurant for a coffee and scone.

North WalesFabulous Break
Left on 11/02/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We arrived mid afternoon on the Saturday and from the moment we arrived until our departure the following Saturday we experienced a totally comfortable relaxing laid back week. The owner was welcoming and so helpful we wished we could have stayed longer. It may not be the right place for small children as it does not have play areas etc but if you are looking for somewhere clean comfortable and peaceful then this is the perfect place for you. It is within easy driving distance of the castle and whisky trails as well as sea and mountains. We cannot recommend it enough, looking forward to going again soon.
