The holiday with everything and more

We arrived at Phuket airport at 9am Wednesday and as promised the airport transfer driver was waiting for us with his lovely air conditioned van. If you have not been to Phuket before the swarm of cab drivers touting at the exit from baggage claims is rather confronting and bewildering.
On arrival at the resort gates which have two guards for added security we were the first villa which is really handy as the free resort shuttle stops at our corner. The taxi stand is across the road so all transport is within a few steps.
The villa is just gobsmacking. The security door opens and you enter a garage and green space with a day bed if you feel like a nap,although the space is very humid. When you enter the villa you are met with a huge open space which is the family and dining area. The kitchen and third bathroom run of this and there are three access doors to the pool and cabana.
The furnishings are high quality and the large screen TV is paired with satellite and DVD player. Wifi is free and reliable also. The little touches like the Thai statues and artwork really get you in the zone to relax and absorb the Thai culture.
As a keen cook the kitchen is a dream although the toaster oven can turn toast to charcoal in seconds so vigilance is recommended :). The utensils and appliances are great and even a water purifying system is installed so you can drink the water if you wish (although we stuck to bottled as we did not want to waste a minute of our holiday).
The pool and cabana area are frequently used and their is an outdoor setting should you choose to dine outdoors although if the smell of insect repellant is not your thing this may remain as a towel and bather drying option only.
The bedrooms are upstairs and all are wonderfully appointed and there is an ensuite in the main as well a second bathroom between the main and second. All have balconies with the main and second overlooking the pool while the third overlooks the front gate.
As advised the taxi rank is across the road and if you are like us with 6 people staying ask for Mana who has a Toyota van and has driven us all over nearly every day and waits for us and drives us back to the villa. All day from say 11am to 5pm for about 2000 baht.
If you want a plush holiday with everything at your fingertips look no further. -

This is a return visit for us and it was fun to be back. We stayed in Laguna Village - and it was great. The free shuttle service came in handy. The house was well maintained and ample space for the kids to come around. We enjoyed the private pool. It was a great experience - enjoyed it the second time as much as the first. Bangtao is a great beach with good restaurants.

If you like Phuket, if you like privacy and if you like a rich home...believe me it's the best you can get for a outstanding rate...
I'm shure one of the best things is the service, the owner is the best I ever saw in my life...

Leaving was the hardest thing to do (not least because of the cold winter in Europe). Wish we could take the place with us, but have to just book again. Service was good, responsive and no request seemed to be too difficult. Fully equipped with every modern convenience. We thought it would be too quiet generally being a family resort, but everything was just right. Loved the beach. The restaurant, about 200 meters from the gate, was extremely handy. We will be back.

We had a fabulous time. Blue Skies, everyday bathed in sunlight except only
by the occasional plump cotton like clouds. Ample seating both inside and
outside. Really enjoyed waking up every morning and listening to all the
sounds of nature. Lush Tropical foliage. The rooms were well-appointed
with modern furnishings yet retaining a traditional Thai style. The place
looked exactly as advertised.
The inter-resort shuttle, restaurants, spas were all a plus
Laguna has great stuff for the kids...they are still talking about the elephant
ride and watching the elephant bathe in the sea.
Having a private pool was great, but there is also a large communal pool 20
meters away.
We had all the in villa cooking facilities - but with beachside restaurants,
the in estate cafe all at reasonable prices - we chose not to lift a finger.
We had a fantastic stay and the kids are still talking about it....Can't wait to
go back.
