Conveniently located on a small soi close to Sanam Pao BTS skytrain station. There's restaurants, supermarkets, banks and expressway access nearby. It's only a 10 minute (4 stops) skytrain ride to shopping and nightlife (Siam) and a further 2 stops to the business district (Sala Daeng).
The famous Saxophone Pub (live music and great food) is just down the road at Victory Monument. Also nearby is Soi Aree with cafes, bars and restaurants. Chatuchak park and weekend market is only 3 train stops away from the condo.

My wife and I recently stayed in 'The Silk'apartment for 11 nights.The booking was simple,personal,highly professional and efficient and secure transfer of funds through Paypal.On arrival we found a welcoming bowl of fruit,a bouquet of flowers and a 5 litre bottle of water.Tea bags,coffee ans sugar were also in the cupboard along with various sauces and other condiments.The Silk apartment has everything you could possibly need during your stay...A very spacious and comfortable living and dining area.Two lovely bedrooms with the most comfortable beds,spacious wardrobes and a safe for valuables..Two bathrooms,one en-suite with shower and bath,the other with large walk in shower..There is also a washing machine in the second bathroom..Eddie and Patcharee have even supplied a hair dryer...Living area has a 50'Satellite T.V with full coverage of all the English Premier League games as well as news in English and several movie channels,should you need them..There is a new,modern and fully fitted kitchen equipped with everything you could need during your stay.Balcony with a lovely view by day and an even more spectacular view by nigt where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine.Swimming Pool,Gym and Solarium..We loved them.As most of the resident owners in The Silk are Thai and at work during the day,you will probably have the pool all to yourselves.There is a phone in the apt.and all local calls are free to you.Reception and Security..All extremely professional,courteous and willing to help.Transport..We used the Sky Train.Sanam Pao Station is a few minutes walk away,and there is a 24 hour 'Seven Eleven Shop'right beside it.Just 1 stop to Victory Monument and 3 more to Siam and all of the major department stores,such as Paragon and M.B.K..There is also an airport Link on this line.From Siam you can take the Silom Line and go to Saphan Taksin Station,take a boat trip on the Chao Praya River..We will be back again next year,Thanks Eddie&Patcharee...;'It was awesome'.

The owners were grate, the location was perfect, the condo and amenities met or exceeded all expectations, the neighborhood was very quiet and cozy. The pool and the roof gym was my favorite along with the condo balcony view.

We stayed at the Silk for 3 weeks - Oct/November. Every aspect of the stay was superb. From the highly efficient and professional booking process, to the comfort and location of the apartment ... everything was flawless. The apartment is situated in a safe, quiet area, with BTS skytrain access just a few hundred yards away. The comfort and amenities in the apartment surpassed our expectations (and we have stayed in many apartments, all over the world). Information was provided, both prior to and during the stay. I have no reservations in recommending The Silk. It is an excellent choice and far superior to any 'cookie-cutter' hotel room.

We just stayed one week in Bangkok and enjoyed our time in this wonderful appartment. Beside of providing 2 comfortable bed- and bathrooms for 4 people it was also perfectly equipped with all you may need - including washing machine, high speed internet, laptop, 50" TV , DVD, surround sound, ...
The location is in a small and quiet Soi, but very close to a skytrain station, which is from our point of view a must in Bangkok because of the always jammed roads.
The owners are very friedly and provided lots of useful information about what to do in the area and in Bangkok. The process of renting and checking in/out was perfectly organised.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Condo was fully equipped with everything needed for a extremely pleasant stay. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever come across and the owner Eddie couldn't have been more helpful with information about the Condo and the area around. The Condo is a wee bit out of the City but the BST is near and really is the best way to travel. I and my family have no hesitation in recommending the Condo and we would certainly stay there again.

The apartment is very handy to the BTS and has all the facilities that a small family or 2 couples would need.
The pool is small but is more than adequate and the gym is useful for those inclined to sweat indoors as well as outdoors. There is also a sauna but we did not use that. -

We are a family of 4 with two young children. The Silk is definitely the perfect choice for us. It offers all comfort that a modern city life requires, however it give such a warm and homely feel to it which no hotel can match. Although not located in the central Bangkok (the local area is interesting nevertheless) but the sky train close by provides a convenient access to the heart of the city where we spend time shopping and sightseeing. The owner has obviously put a lot of thoughts into the home and the management hence is outstanding. The staff in the building are lovely and welcoming. We loved the nice touches in the flat which differentiates an excellent holiday condo from those that are just good. Overall, we enjoyed our time swimming, daytime outings and spent precious and beautiful evenings in the condo as a family after a hard day's travel. We just loved it. Thanks Eddie for giving us such a good experience and should we go back to Bangkok, the Silk will still be our first choice. And I will not hesitate to recommend it.

The apartment was big and nice. It was very quiet. It has everything you need for a stay in Bangkok. There are lots of shops and restaurants if you go one BTS station down the line (to victory monument). The owners are very helpful and always quick to respond.

Comfortable 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom appartment on 5th floor. Walking distance to sky train. Quality inclusions. Had a minor problem with TV but this was rectified by owner within 24 hours. Only quibble is that no good restaurants within walking distance but taxis are cheap and one can also get sky train to ari where the Salt restaurant is very good. A pleasant change from a sterile hotel room. Security is also very good. Would definitely stay here again.

The experience was wonderful.
Booking process and information regarding the area for shopping and dining was outstanding. The photographs of the apartment truely depicted the accommodation.
The elements within: bedding, plasma, kitchen, computer, air conditioning, washing machine, and cleaning service were also outstanding.
Access to the sky train was immediate and easy to negotiate.
We even ordered in food and wine as per instructions and found it to be a prompt and valuable experience.
We were followed up by the owners on arrival and when we had a question about the computer thaey responded quickly and solved the problem immediately.
My sister and I found the heat to be extreme and it was lovely to come home and turn the air conditioning on.
It really was a home from home for us and allowed us to experience Bangkok knowing we had a haven at the end of a long day of shopping and sight seeing.

I rented the silk May 20 through May 25, 2012. The silk is a charming, clean, well equipped property conveniently located near a BTS rail station, 7-11 for basic supplies and main road for taxi service. The pictures of the property on the silk website are accurate. The silk building is clean, quiet and has 24 hour security. The guards were always very friendly and helpful. The lap pool and exercise room on the 8th floor are great perks at this price point. I recommend this property to travelers who seek a stay in Bangkok away from the tourist traps and instead wish to experience an accurate slice of Bangkok daily life at a relaxed pace.

Would like to say that from start to finish i received nothing short of excellence. The booking was easy and self explanatory. The apartment itself had everything you could ask for from Tea Bags to Tea Towels, you have full use of Laptop, (wi-fi included) DVD, Music (via aUX point with the surround sound)
The location of the Silk apartment is really quiet and lovely, it is nice for myself and wife to be away from the sukhumvit area, however it is not that far away by taxi or train should you wish to visit that area. Siam is only 4 stops (by train) which took only literally 8 minutes compared to 15-20 mins by taxi due to traffic Rooftop swimming pool and Gym was also a huge bonus. Both owners (Eddie and Patcharee had both made an effort to contact us to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The best apartment I personally have stayed in in Bangkok and when my wife and I return we will Definately be staying here again. 10/10
My wife's only niggle (which it wasn't really) was there were no TV in the bedroom, however i am not a big fan of tv so was happy about that -

A modern 2 double bed/2 bathroom 5th floor apartment in an excellent location with a pool - there was absolutely nothing to fault. The booking organisation is excellent - good description and photos of Tripadvisor page, prompt mails, easy payment, a good contract, advice on the area (shops, restaurants, post office, etc), good apartment notes, regular contact by mail, good check in and out, prompt return of deposit (in 24 hours). Eddie Manning is a real professional.
The apartment was excellent, all one could need (including cooking facilities although we ate out every day), plenty of towels, comfortable beds, good washing machine and fridge. The pool on the 8th floor is very attractive with views over the roof top. The living room has a nice view over trees (resident squirrels) and gardens.
The location is excellent - Skytrain station within 5 minutes, banks and international supermarket (Villa Market - sells wine) about 10 minutes walk away and the area has lots of small restaurants (Som Tum recommended - we went twice). Also a loud "Sanam Pao" or a written note in Thai (provided) plus a bit of pointing once one got bear usually solved any taxi directions difficulties when returning. But despite being well located and near a main road, it is very quiet. The security guards were also very helpful in helping me get taxis.
All this plus the value is very good compared to some places in the noisier parts of Bangkok. Believe me, I hate not having anything to complain about, but, in this case, I have failed. Had a wonderful stay in Bangkok in this great apartment. The apartment itself is lovely, beautifully designed and kept, and very well equipped. We've stayed in many rental apartments over the years (we prefer them to hotels) and I don't think I've ever come across one as well equipped as this, and also the advance information we were given (how things work, where to go, things to do etc) was without doubt the best we've ever had.
The apartment is not in the tourist centre of Bangkok, but is just metres from the Skytrain which gives you easy access to anywhere in the city very quickly. And we enjoyed being in this area since it was much more 'real' Bangkok, populated mostly by Thai people and no commercialised touristic stuff going on. There are lots of restaurants in the vicinity, though we spent more time eating the great street food you can get in the district (especially up at aree) - cheap and delicious, don't be afraid to try it! The people are incredibly friendly and helpful and the language barrier is easily got over by a bit of pointing and smiling!
All in all, a lovely apartment, a perfect area for us and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a real Bangkok experience rather than a slightly exoticised version of what you'd get at home. -

This is a wonderful place to stay for a short or long period. Location is fantastic for families; less than 5 minutes' walk from the BTS sky train stop Sanam Pao, and in a quiet, safe neighborhood.
My wife moved to this great apartment for 9 weeks before, during, and after the birth of our child (we are expats living in Cambodia) at Samitivej Sukumvit hospital. The owners and staff are fantastic, responsive and helpful. The apartment is close to good restaurants and shopping (Ari -just a 15min walk or 1min bus ride) and also has easy access to all of central Bangkok through the BTS network. We also found that the location avoids much of the traffic congestion of central Bangkok (I commuted to the airport twice a week and the highways were usually clear).
The apartment is also outfitted in very nice kit; a well stocked kitchen, wonderful sheets and beds, a nice new washing machine and big flat screen. My wife and I also enjoyed the rooftop pool almost every night.
I also want to say a special thanks to owners and staff as they helped us through a very stressful time. We were unable to leave Bangkok as the flood waters approached and we were forced to wait for our newborn's passport. Luckily all went well, and in the end the apartment did not flood. Many thanks and we highly recommend this apartment and these owners!

We stayed in the apartment for 1 month and we would love to stay there again. The apartment is brand new and is beatiful decorated. Really good beds, a nice living room with a big TV/DVD player and 2 bathrooms. We also loved the swimmingpool and the gym on the roof. 2-3 minutes away is the Skytrain and within minutes you can reach what every you want in Bangkok. We used the skytrain almost everyday and it`s also very cheap. The only thing we missed was some restaurants close by. There are some restaurants but you have to walk 8-10 minutes but it was not a big problem since all the big restaurants had takeaway delivery. When we waled to the restaurants we also visited the grocery store we we could buy food, soap, fruit and whatever we needed. Other times we used 7/11 only 300 meters from the apartment. The best part about the apartment is that it`s located in a very quiet area but still close to everything by the skytrain. We loved the apartment and if we are going back to Bangkok we will stay in this apartment again :-)

Fantastic apartment right beside victory monument! The place was spotless inside and even had fresh fruit and bottled drinking water there for us when we arrived. The apartment itself is finished to a very high standard and really does remind you of a penthouse apartment. Very spacious inside. There is also 24hour security which is great. Eddie also sent us a fantastic welcome pack with included the address in thai which proved to be very helpful as thai speaking taxi drivers are like hens teeth. would recommend to anyone. washing facilities are also in the apartment rather than a communial effort.

This apartment must be the best valued 2 bed apartment in Bangkok it even included a laptop for our use. Cannot fault this nicely appointed unit in new block located only a few minutes walk from the sky train. Home away from Home.
It makes an ideal base to explore Bangkok.

We found the Silk accommodation to be extremely clean and spacious and with it being a new building all the appliances are of a very high spec. It is only a 2 min.walk to the nearest Sky train station which makes it ideal for ecaping Bangkoks notorious traffic. So if you are looking for a clean,safe and accessible place to enjoy Bangkok then we have no qualms about recommending Silk
