A Fantastic Place!
The beach house was fantastic! We stayed for two nights with our two children, a friend, their partner and daughter. We had plenty of space, the house was sumptuously decorated and catered for all our needs. The location was stunning, right on the sea front with two childrens play areas close by and it was only short walk into town, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. We will definately be going back again!!

Beautiful house, wonderful location,attentive hosts
Overlooking Ballyholme bay the Beach House 1 is an ideal getaway from it all. The views are spectacular, especially from the first floor lounge. There is plenty of room and the house is very well appointed. The top floor bedroom and ensuite are luxurious, make sure you get there first! The kitchen is fully equipped if you really want to cook a three course meal but there are lots of restaurants nearby, although I would advise booking in advance on weekends during the summer months. The surrounding area is mainly quiet residential with the sailing club and tennis/mini golf facilities a 5 minute walk away. courts and equipment can be hired at very reasonable prices. The bustling town of Bangor is a further 5-10 minutes walk around the bay, with it's marina and many restaurants and bars. Jenny and Chris provide a service that is second to none. Although there was a slight delay checking in the wait was well worth it. Everything has been thought of, down to local takeaway and delivery menus which were invaluable on our first night. They live next door at the guesthouse and are available if you need anything or want advice about local attractions, good restaurants etc but are never intrusive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return. It's ideal for a family of different age groups as there is plenty of room to spread out, although I would recommend additional comfortable seating in the upstairs lounge. There is a huge back garden as well to relax and enjoy the sun, weather permitting! You won't want to leave.

Hello to the Pooni Family,

Beach House I or Beach House II
When travelling from Singapore we booked the Beach House for 4 weeks on line, we assumed we were getting the Beach House as per this photo but we got Beach House I. There are two Beach Houses side by side, both trading as 5 star accomodation. Beach House II is more modern and rennovated while Beach House I requires some modernisation - both owned by the same people. The Kitchen in particular is outdated with missing doors and the back patio doors did not lock for the 4 weeks we where there. Overall the stay was average - cheaper than a hotel for a family and a good location but we were disappointed in the presentation of the property especially as we expected the house from the photos. The downstairs toilet as shown was under repair.

We were sorry to hear that this guest was disappointed with his stay. He seems to been confused by exactly which property he had booked, however he had received confirmation with full terms and conditions, plus several emails specifically confirming a reservation for the Beach House I.
This is a beautiful Victorian property full of character and furnished in a stylish and eclectic manner with objects and furnishings from travels around the world. It is a spotlessly clean house in a prime location offering superb accommodation and living space with stunning views overlooking Ballyholme Bay. Both the Beach House I and II are Northern Ireland Tourist Board 5 star classification - the highest rating awarded.
There was no problem reported with the door on check-in or until the second week when Mr Wilson arrived. The day he complained about the broken lock on the patio door, we immediately ordered a complete new set of patio doors which took 2 weeks to be manufactured and were installed before the guests left. Regarding the missing kitchen doors, there are no doors missing, we have removed one to make a cookery book shelf in the kitchen. It is traditionally styled kitchen, spotlessly clean with modern appliances.
If you are looking for a minimal, characterless, corporate look, then this is not the property for you.

Canadian Family visit to N Ireland...
I would like to say that we had a terrific stay in the Beach House. From the initial contact with Chris and Jenny to book our stay everything was wonderful.. The beach house is beautiful and in an idiliac location. Peaceful and a fab location for our holiday..
I would recommend for anyone considering travelling with family to stay away from the hotels and try and book in for a stay at the beach house. If you are like us you wont be disappointed..

A fabulous winter break
We stayed in the beach house for 1 week last winter.
The house itself is fantastic. An excellent standard of accomodation. I loved the upstairs lounge area with balcony with 180 degree views over Ballyholme Bay. I slept in the bedroom on the top floor. This bedroom had beautiful views and a free standing bath in the ensuite which was lovely on cold winter nights. My sister, brother in law and 2 neices and stayed with me while visiting and loved being so close to the beach. The house itself is within walking distance of Bangor towncentre, so we were able to walk to the local restaurants if dining out or for the nights we ate in, we were able to use the large dinig room table downstairs. I would recommend this accomodation to anyone
