Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, this detached cottage is in a country location five miles from Bantry in County Cork. O’Brien’s Cottage is a detached stone cottage on the edge of Dromore in County Cork, 5 miles from Bantry town. There is a double room, and also a twin room which can be offered as a second double should you require it. Downstairs are the character filled kitchen and sitting room, both of which have beams and a woodburning stove in the sitting room. Outside, as well as off road parking, there is a large garden area with patio and lawn. Visit Bantry, or head out to Whiddy Island, or explore the Beara or Sheep&...#8217;s Head Peninsula’s – O’Brien’s Cottage makes an ideal base for family or friends.

Amenities: Heating and hot water from solid fuel range cooker in kitchen and solar panels for radiators in sitting room, bedrooms and bathroom with woodburning stove in sitting room. Electric oven, range cooker with oven, 2 large hob plates and 2 warming plates, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in utility, dishwasher, TV with FreeSat, DVD. Electricity and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent, additional fuel available to purchase locally. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 4 cars. Large patio and garden with furniture. Bike storage. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub with restaurant 1.5 miles. Note: Gates must be kept closed at all times due to cattle walking up the lane.

Region: County Cork is full of truly breathtaking natural beauty. With unspoilt beaches, historic castles, and modern visitor attractions, there’s plenty for all ages to absorb and there is always plenty to see and do in County Cork.

Town: Located in West Cork between Sheep's Head and the Beara Peninsula, Bantry has incredible sea views and colourful buildings, as well as the beautiful 'Bantry House', which is located in an elevated spot above the town. This fascinating property has beautiful gardens that are open to the public, and is the home of a plentiful collection of tapestries, furniture and art. Garinish Island, just a short boat ride away, was turned into an exotic garden in the early 20th Century and today offers a variety of interesting plant species. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Too many broken appliances!

  We just spent a week at O`Briens cottage, on arrival there was a list of broken appliances ETC...Tumble drier, dishwasher, kitchen light, to which we added electric oven! As that too was broken. The cottage could be very nice but is very damp, lovely location, just a shame about so many things not working!
