My wife and 2 teenage daughters stayed for a week. Roomier than the photo's suggest, very clean, overall excellent condition. We greatly enjoyed our stay. We've loved acadia for many years and this was our 1st rental (as opposed to camping). We will go back. Fair price. All you could ask for in simple house. Easy access to carriage roads. Practically located in the park.

The Shubert Bungalow was such a nice place to stay.It was so clean and there was everything that you neeeded in it.You could relax out on the deck or in the rocking chairs out front. One of the best things was that you could walk right to the carriage roads or walk to Jordan Park
for lunch or dinner. It was the best place we ever stayed at.I would definitely go back! -

I can't say enough good things about the people that rented this place. It was very clean with all the amenities and the the whole rental process from start to finish was very pleasant and effortless. The only reason I wouldnt tell anyone about this place would be because I want to keep it my little secret.

My husband and I along with another couple recently stayed at the cottage. Although the weather did not cooperate we cooked some great meals and found that the cottage was close to everything we came to see. The home provided everything we needed. Comfortable beds, lots of hot water and all the kitchen pots pans and utensils you would ever need. The best part was watching the deer take their evening walk down the street. We would definitely come back again and the Shubert Bungalow will at the top of our list.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Shubert Bungalow in mid-September. The location is terrific - just a short drive to Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor and all points in acadia. The house itself is lovely. Plenty of space, great amenities, and a wonderful owner who made the rental experience a breeze. Can't wait to come back next year!

This was first time travelling to Maine (family of 5) and we had a wonderful experience there. First of all, the location was very convenient...it was only about 10-15 minutes away from Bar Harbor! Also, the house itself was very cozy and clean, there were a lot of useful cooking utensils like pots, bowls, plates, mugs, glasses, etc. Doing the laundry was very easy and so we didn't have to bring suitcases of clothes with us. We loved the library of books and Dvds, we even watched "Despicable Me" together when it rained. The movie turned a boring, rainy day into a very fun family activity. We cooked every morning--not only did it save money, but it also made everyone feel at home. The place was overall very quiet and the beds were very comfortable which made us sleep through the whole night. The owner of the house provided us with plenty of towels. With lots of toilet paper and papter towels, we didn't worry about running out. We were provided a handy binder with lots of activity/dining information. We chose to do the Whale Watch (we spotted 10 whales!) and go kayaking and biking based on the information in the binder. There was fast Internet connection as well which was convenient to the family. The signal was strong so searching activity information for the next day was very easy.

We were very busy during day exploring and doing many things in Bar Harbor. It was nice to come back to a place that was quiet and almost like home. Had everything you would need and more.

Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in August 2011
I've rented in Seal Harbor for eight years as we travel to acadia with our horses. This house was the best equiped of any I stayed at. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans, the showers had plenty of hot water, and the beds were comfortable.

Left on 07/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The Shubert Bungalow was everything that we needed, then some! It is located away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, within walkable distance to Seal Harbor, close to the southern entrance to acadia Park, and a charming yet modern bungalow. We were lucky to find such a great house for our week vacation with grandparents and kids to Maine! We will absolutely rent this house again when we return to Maine!
