Description from the owner
More than a century old, this colonial is spacious and comfortable. In 2002, it was totally rewired, repainted and newly furnished. The shaded yard is a pleasant place to barbeque on the grill and relax around the picnic table. Recently we have installed new flooring in the kitchen and a brand new shower in the shower room. There is plenty parking in front of the barn. And behind it is a wooded road perfect for strolling or jogging. It is only one mile from the main entrance to Acadia National Park.

Located three miles from downtown Bar Harbor and just a mile from the entrance to Acadia National Park, it has much to offer. There is a path off the rear yard that leads to a circular road through the woods with ocean views - great for strolling, jogging, and a view of an eagle's nest. Plenty of parking space in front of the barn. A free shuttle that can take bikes stops in front to take you into the Park or to downtown Bar Harbor.

We enjoyed our stay at The Farmhouse. It provided the comfort of a spacious older house. The location is more convenient than we realized at first. When we felt like napping or cooking, our boys only had to cross the road and flag down the free shuttle to make a jaunt to Sand Beach. The wooded roadway beyond the barn was great for walking the dog. Thanks for providing everything we needed.
