Enjoy a holiday on Mount Desert Island from a home away from home to fully partake of Acadia National Park.

Come find that the lush grounds at Bayview Cottage are accentuated by an enormous lawn from front to back that's fully fenced in. This saltbox style home has a two car garage and a paved driveway and lies just at the top of Bayview Drive -- ideally located to quickly access Acadia National Park by way of Hulls Cove, to the east, or to whip into Town Hill, Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor, to the southwest. Hadley Point beach is about a mile just down Bayview Drive for fun ocean beaching, kayaking and perfect sunset picnics. R...eally close to the Head of the Island, too, so plans to fly into Trenton's Bar Harbor Airport make this an ideal destination!

At Bayview Cottage, a party of 4 to 6 is best suited by the cottage's four bedrooms and three and one half bathrooms. From the delightfully manicured walkway, enter the home to be greeted by a sunny family room with large screen television and island bar seating facing the kitchen, a set of French doors to the deck, and the kitchen herself is very well appointed and also houses a closet with washer & dryer. Be sure to bring some fresh roasted beans for the espresso machine.

Through the kitchen is the dining area for 6, another set of French doors to the deck, and a cozy inviting living room with wood stove. There is a half bathroom off the living room and the stairs to the second floor. Also off the living room is the delightful master bedroom with a queen bed, its own walk-in closet and a private bathroom with tub and shower.

On the second floor are two bedrooms each with a twin bed, and a full bathroom with tub and shower.

From the family room is a door that leads to the left down a few steps to the garage, and to the right is the entrance to a private garage apartment. This tasteful "apartment" space boasts bamboo floors, a beautiful bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower.

On the western-facing back deck are lawn chairs, a dining table, and a gas grill. Watch the children play on Bayview Cottage's playset while getting a barbecue plated.

Note: the family room couch converts to a sleeper sofa.
