This unique, tri-level beachfront home is loca...ted directly on the renowned Gibbs Beach and is surrounded by lush foliage with wonderful views of the Caribbean Sea. Dudley Wood is comfortably furnished and wonderfully decorated throughout with three air-conditioned bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom.

Two lovely dining gazebos and a private swimming pool add to the charm of this beautiful West Coast property. One gazebo has a wet bar, large gas powered Bar-B-Q and dining table, perfect for serving buffet style meals. The other gazebo overlooks the beach, has a round dining table with seating for up to 8 persons and is equipped with a ceiling fan.

Constructed of coral stone and white washed timber, Dudley Wood has a "tree house" feeling with a spiral staircase connecting all three levels. Children are welcome.

The property is completely enclosed and entry is through an electric gate with a video monitor. The property is also equipped with an alarm system.

  Deborah, Charmaine & Sophia took good care of us, however... Bedrooms are a decent size, but with extremely firm mattresses. Bathrooms need updating; some have new countertops, but the toilets and shower tile work are early 80\'s, with sliding glass doors on a tub/shower. Lack of contemporary tile and lighting make the bathrooms appear dirty, dingy and dated. The house is on Gibbs Beach, which is incredibily beautiful, but there are no beach chairs! We either had to drag the heavy pool chairs down to the beach or sit on towels on the sand - big inconvenience! The gas grill didn\'t work for the first 2 nights of our 5 night stay, so we insisted on being given a simple charcoal grill for our food prep. There is no wireless service at the house, thus, no US phones nor internet devices worked during our stay. There are electronic gates and iron bars throughout, which is disconcerting, as the house lies next to the only public access to Gibbs Beach. - Michele P., Puerto Rico, USA

  Generally we had a good time. Location was great, beach was lovely, staff were wonderful. Dudley wood was nice but not a great set up for traveling with toddlers. Main rooms where cribs fit were beside each other and not soundproof at all. Babies tended to wake each other up. As well pool turned green halfway through week and was unusable for last three days which also wasn\'t ideal with toddlers who loved the pool. Outdoor patio very rough and uneven surface for kids to run around on too. \r\nStaff were great

  The staff at Dudley Woods was wonderful. They couldn\'t do enough for us. Although I doubt any you could control it, our weather was wonderful. Except to go to the grocery store or run an errand there was no reason to leave our \"little bit of paradise\".

  Our stay at Dudley Wood was fantastic all over again. The villa staff is wonderful. They took all of our needs into consideration and made sure the children were always happy. The villa itself is in an amazing location and the pool is a great size...especially on the island of Barbados where most pools at beachfront locations are small. Although the furnishings are a bit outdated and a little worn the villa is still very comfortable and suitable for young children. We would definitely consider retuning to Dudley Wood again.
