A quiet haven for you, your friends, and your family, this self-catering accommodation in Tuscany is comprised of a farmhouse and independent hayloft with its own furnished terrace, which is a perfect place to drink a glass of local wine. Although only five kilometers from a charming hilltop town, this vacation rental is located about halfway between Florence and Siena neither of which you'll want to miss during your trip.
Surrounded by the hil...ls of the Chianti countryside, this property is comprised of a farmhouse and a hayloft. Situated on a wine estate, this accommodation has been renovated and is surrounded by vineyards and woods. The hayloft features a covered terrace with a table and chairs that looks out to a private swimming pool surrounded by a grass-landscaped lawn. Access to the property is via an unpaved road of two kilometers and parking is available within the grounds.
Grano - farmhouse (160m2)
Ground floor: The entrance leads to the kitchen, which is equipped with a cook-top, oven, and dishwasher as well as a table with chairs. There is one bedroom with a 160 cm queen-sized bed and one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower on this floor.
First floor: A staircase leads up to an open living room with a fireplace, armchairs, and satellite TV. A dining table with chairs is situated directly adjacent. There are two bedrooms on this floor. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two 90 cm single beds. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
Fieno - hayloft (130m2)
Ground floor: There is a combined living and dining room with a couch, fireplace, and table with chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms on this floor. The first bedroom has two 90 cm single beds and the second bedroom has one 160 cm queen-sized bed. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

The property is located on a large wine estate five kilometers from Barberino Val d'Elsa where there shops, restaurants, a great pizzeria, a market, a bank, and a post office. Dating back to the Middle Ages, Barberino Val d'Elsa marks the midway point between Siena and Florence. The village has an ancient church, castle, chapel, and beautiful views of the olive groves and vineyards that make up much of the Chianti Classico region. San Gimignano is a great place to go for a day trip. As one of the most visited towns in Tuscany, it is known for its rich history dating back to the Etruscan times. It is full of life and things to do. Popular attractions include the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and several museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also plenty of wine tasting tours, art galleries, shops, and delicious restaurants. Numerous celebrations and gatherings are held every year including a music festival featuring theater, ballet, and opera performances, and a Medieval Harvest festival where the people of San Gimignano dress up as knights, play medieval games, and have tournaments. Of course, you'll also want to visit Florence and Siena during your trip.

Amazing!! From the moment we arrived it felt like heaven on earth. The villa is beautiful. We had plenty of room and the facilities were immaculate. The pool was the perfect respite from the Tuscan sun. The weather was amazing. Absolutely perfect!!!
The property manager Cecille was super friendly and a font of information. The peace and quiet the villa afforded us was unparalleled. Yet we were minutes drive away from Barberino Val D'Elsa. Location, location, location.... Halfway between Florence and Siena in the heart of the Chianti region. I am still pinching myself to make sure it was not just a dream.
The dirt road added an element of anxiety. Especially when navigating it in a rental car.
