Additional Location Information
The Alibei 3 apartment is located in Calle Ali Bei, between Calle Bailen and Passeig de Sant Joan, in the elegant Eixample district. This is very much the centre of Barcelona, a 10-minute walk from Plaza Cataluña, Las Ramblas and the Barrio Gótico. Close by (15mins walk) you’ll also find Passeig de Gracia, the city’s most prestigious shopping street and home to two of Barcelona’s architectural gems: Casa Milà and Casa Batlló, both by Antoni Gaudí.
The city’s park, Parque de la Ciutadella, the zoo, and the fashionable Born area are also ten minutes on foot from the apartment, down the broad Passeig de San Joan. En-route you’ll pass by the 18th Century Arc de triomf, which commemorates a rare victory for the forces of Cataluña, and you’ll more than likely see several spirited games of Petanca being played by groups of local pensioners. A ten-minute walk in the opposite direction, towards the hills, takes you to La Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí’s massive, eccentric and unfinished masterpiece.
The street next to the apartment is home to some interesting restaurants as well as a variety of shops, grocery stores and a supermarket. The nearest station is 200 metres away and offers both metro (line 1) and regional train services (to the coast and inland).
Some distances from the apartment:
- Metro Station (Arc de Triomf: Line 1) - 200 metres
- Train Station (Arc de Triomf: Regional lines) - 200 metres
- Plaza Cataluña: 15 minute walk
- Born Area: 10 minute walk

Alibei 3 was a fantastic apartment with the all the amenities you would need for a short stay. The apartment was located in a fantastic part of the city and in walking distance to everything. Our entire family really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. Central to this was the fabulous apartment in a great location. It had all the conveniences we needed, close to public transport, in a nice area, close to all the good nightlife and lots of good bars, restaurents, parks, beach and sights plus it had all the facilities we needd in house, wifi, washing machine kitchen facilities, safe etc. Also Jennifer our host was lovely and explained the apartment features and area very well.

The property manager met us at the apartment as agreed, as was very friendly and helpful. He knew where we could find local stores and an aTM. The apartment had a good location and was generally very clean. The kitchen even had a dishwasher, but not a lot of counter space. The main bedroom did not have a closet. Generally, the apartment was clean, Habitat's service was good, and the apartment was a good size.

Left on 08/06/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The appartment was clean, spacious and provided all the necessary ammenities. The only gripe would be that the beds were too hard for my liking. The appartment is located within a 5 minute walk of the nearest metro station. It was also within a 20 minute walk to the marina, gothic district and Familia Sagradia. Wi Fi was a real bonus for a demanding teenager atttached to his laptop. There is a small bar located on the corner of the apartment block and offered friendly service and late night snacks. I would definitely use this appartment again and recommend it to friends or family.

Left on 11/06/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Overall the apartment was average, although comfortable there were a few things definitely lacking. They did not provide written instructions to operate the air con and we could not get it to work the entire time we were there but it wasn't too hot so we didn't bother to phone. The TV also had no written instructions and once we turned it off, we couldn't get it back on. The bed and bedding was comfortable and everything in the bathroom was great. However they only provided 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person for a week. There is no clothes dryer so if you wash them you don't even have spares to use while those air dry. The location was good, the furniture in good repair. The kitchen was well equipped except it only had 1 wine glass. Also take note they only provide 2 rolls of TP, 1 spare garbage bag and nothing in the kitchen -- not even salt and pepper.

Had a 3 night stay in the apartment in august 2010. The apartment was excellent in every way, was very clean, quiet and well stocked with everything you would need for a short break. The location was also great and was within walking distance of supermarkets/shops, restaurants etc. and very close to underground stations. The apartment is at the back of the building which makes it very quiet. Only downside is that the balconies are small and do not accommodate tables and chairs. Overall we were very happy and really enjoyed our stay.

Left on 06/27/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The apartment lived up to its pictures and description. Clean, fairly spacious, well-located, very quiet. We stayed here with our 2 children (ages 9 and 12), and the apt. worked well for the week we were there. The kitchen could use some basic spices (salt, pepper, sugar), and bathroom could be better stocked with TP. Some confusion on check-in (the description made it sound that someone would meet us outside the apartment; we eventually figured out he was in the apartment). Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Hertfordshire, EnglandExcellent apartment in quite area
Left on 05/18/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The apartment is located in a very quite area within walking distance of all important landmarks.
It was very clean and tidy and the beds very comfortable although the single bed is quite narrow. The flat would sleep 5 comfortably.
The apartment is certainly well equipped with dishwasher/washing machine/large fridge freezer/modern cooker/microwave/toaster/tv/dvd/satellite and sound system
The only points I would like to make are that the crockery was lacking for five people - only 3 wine glasses (one chipped) and 3 cereal bowls. This didn't bother us as there was only three staying. Oh, and the rubbish bin is still broken!!!!!
I would have liked a 'grown up' kettle as the little 'travel type' took an absolute age to heat up and some more saucepans.
But these are very minor points and do not detract from a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Would highly recommend this apartment and the services from Habitat. -

Left on 05/12/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The apartment was in a great location and the size and decor were fantastic.
One major complain - the smell from the bathroom was atrocious. we stayed
there for 4 nights and it just seemed to get worse and worse. I had mentioned
it initially when I checked in and was assured that something would be done,
however nothing was. Apart from this (if you close the bathroom door the
smell gets better in the rest of the apartment) I would recommend Habitat. -

Left on 02/14/2010 for a stay in January 2010
The three of us got a two bedroom apartment for 4 nights and loved the experience.
The location was great. Quiet residential apartment yet easily accessible to metro and city centre, and very safe.
Most importantly it was very clean, and spacious. As opposed to many hotels in Europe that can be very small, and quite dated.
Ideal for small families, or a few friends travelling together. Would definitely recommend this, and would stay here again if in Barcelona.

Left on 02/09/2010 for a stay in February 2010
We stayed 4 days at Alibei 3, the apartment looked very new, clean and very well equipped especially the kitchen. (bring salt and pepper and a drying up cloth) We were met with a Habitat representative who was very pleasant and helpful, unfortunealty she very quickly showed us how to get the Satellite TV but when we tried we couldn't get any Channels. The other problem was the smell from the bathroom, she did point it out and say that it was because the flat had been empty and it would go, if it didnt to ring Habitat. I did say perhaps it would be better to move there and then as I knew they had apartments available, but she said to see if the smell went. Of course I expect they realised that if we unpacked and was there for a couple of days we wouldnt move. The smell didnt go and we had to leave on the light which activated the extractor fan. We did try to phone Habitat on both our phones but couldnt get them. So I tried another apartment in the building and a kind Spanish man used his local phone. We waited in and a man came out at 9pm (4hrs after phoning)He sorted out the TV but couldnt do anything about the smell. The next day, while we were out he came back and put a toilet block in the toilet which made no difference. I think it is an actual problem with the bathroom which they do need to fix. This was a real shame because the flat was lovely and really good value for money. The only other problem (which wasnt Habitats fault) was people in the flat above came back every night at 2 or 3am and walked around with heels on a wooden floor, talked loudly and endlessly flushed the toilet. I think they must work at a club or something. The flat was an easy 15min approx walk to the centre of town, it is very close to the arc de triomph, its in a quiet residential area, there are very few restaurants close by at night, a few cafes which are very smokey, as Spaniards still can smoke in eating places. The supermarket and bakery are close by and open until 9pm.

- Service was very good, we arrived 10 minutes after our due time and were met and shown round the apartment, how everything worked and give contact nos for any problems and given advice on being careful, etc.
- The Flat was lovely, clean well furnished and presented.
- Location was perfect for us as my son's flat was literally 300 yds down the road. Thought it was really good location anyway for getting around Barcelona and shops, bars, restaurants, close by.
- Flat's location, furnishings and outlook great.
- If we had to say least thing we liked it would probably be - least liked that it slept 5, but 2nd bedroom was a single and we slept on the sofa bed. Would have preferred a double bed in small room (would have been a right squeeze I know, but if pointed out, think would be acceptable) Although, the sofa bed was comfortable and not a problem for us as we were literally only in the flat to sleep and have coffee in the morning!!
Barcelona is a great place to visit.

Left on 10/24/2009 for a stay in October 2009
The apartment was very roomy, light and well located. The kitchen was very well equiped, large with a table and main bedroom large but 2nd bedroom quite small. No wardrobe in main bedroom but a large one in 2nd bedroom. The bathroom was large and new. Living room great with a dining table and sofa and chair.
When we arrived the cleaner hadn't cleaned from the last people so we sat for about 2 hours while she cleaned. The washing machine wasn't working so a repair man was called to fix but besides these issues it was great.
Would be a good idea to have a map of Barcelona in the flat for first timers. The man said he would get us one but never did. -
