Additional Location Information
Eixample is Catalan for "extension", meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city. The grid pattern of Eixample was designed by urban planning visionary, Ildefons Cerdà, who saw the benefit in utilizing octagonal blocks, allowing all residents easy access to the city center. The area boasts some of the best Basque tapas in Barcelona, and some renowned restaurants serving the most delicious paella! Nestled in between Eixample Izquierdo and Plaça Espanya lies the historical Joan Miró Park. Also known as Parc l'Escorxador, (Catalan for slaughterhouse), it holds great historical value as it was the first large urban park after Franco's regime. The area caters to every palate, and with Passeig de Gràcia a short walk away, choosing an apartment in Eixample Izquierdo won't leave you disappointed.

MünchenVery good apartment, perfect to explore Bareclona!
Left on 09/26/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We stayed at this apartment for 7 nights and found it to be in a very convenient location which makes it a perfect start for exploring Barcelona. We found everything we needed, from bedclothes to kitchenstuff, only the hair dryer was missing at first, but the friendly staff at cometobarcelona.com was so kind to immediately bring a new one to the apartment.
The second bedroom is indeed very small, but since we didn't use it we didn't mind.
There are two metro stations in 2-5min walking distance, so you're perfectly connected. But actually we absolutely loved it to just walk to some of the places we went to see.
Also there are two supermarkets in the street (DIa and consum).
In the end we were sad to leave and our only very small complaint would be the immediate neighbor, a Döner store which can become a little noisy and smelly at night. But it's fine if you'll just close the window. -

New York CityGreat apartment in a convenient location
Left on 07/17/2010 for a stay in June 2010
I stayed here with three friends for two weeks and it was a great spot to call home. The apartment had everything we needed: linens, dishes, a/c, and was in a great location between two metro lines and easily walkable to the downtown/ La Rambla area. The people at Come to Barcelona were very easy to reach and everything was exactly as we expected it, no surprises and no extra or hidden charges. My only complaint is the second bedroom (the one with the twin bunk beds) is extremely small and has no clothing storage in it (no closet or drawers), which worked ok for us, but may not be ideal for other groups. Overall, we loved it and were sad to leave :)
