The Rambla Catalunya is a recently refurbished apartment near La Pedrera and Casa Battló, two minutes walk from Paseo de Gracia. Composed of one double room with a queen size bed and a closet with exit to a terrace overlooking the Rambla Catalunya. The living/dining area has a convertible sofa-bed for two making the apartment available for 4 guests. Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyable. Both rooms have a lovely balcony onto the street. A bit noisy from street noise. Rooms pleasant and comfortable. Can easily accommodate 3 people

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in January 2013. We arrived early and paid the additional fee for early arrival. Only had to wait a few minutes for the person to show up with the keys. Check in procedure was fine. The apartment is in a great location and the neighborhood felt very safe. The apartment was small as expected. It was clean, but they could provide better towels and they do not provide wash cloths. The shower pan is shallow and it is hard to take a shower without getting water all over the floor. We just turned the water on and off and made sure the curtain was tightly closed. They tell you specifically not to use the towels to clean the floor. I would recommend getting some paper towels. The lift is small so if you have a lot of luggage it may take a few trips. The metro was just one block over and was easy for us to figure out. Most sites are within walking distance and we enjoyed strolling the streets in Barcelona. I would definitely recommend this apartment for two people.

Small but very efficiently organized and light filled apartment with a comfortable queen bed and pull out in living room if needed - high ceilings, one balcony off the living room and another beside it off the bedroom. Could walk to many attractions & shops, bakery close by, around the corner from one Gaudi house and a few blocks from another. We loved coming home to enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony and watch the life of the city then head out to have tapas or dinner at one of the many local bars and restaurants. Handy for the Metro to train or airport. Located one floor up from the street by a wide marble staircase or charming small cage elevator.

The staff at pillow apartments were GREAT. Extremely accomodating, kind
and informative. Below are the pros and cons of the Rambla Catalunya flat:
Pros
1. Great location - walking distance to all the great sites
2. Clean - extremely clean and well appointed
3. Wifi - great and reliable wifi
4. Spacious - for 2 ppl this was great as there was a separate bedroom.
Kitchen was a bit small as was the fridge but we ate out so much we didn't
need to use the kitchen very often (plates, utensils, etc were all provided
which was really nice)
5. Bed - very comfortable and clean
6. Safe - area was very safe
Cons
1. Noise level - There are 2 bars below the apartment which was quite noisy
every nite we were there (we were not able to sleep more than 4 hours
straight a nite without being woken up by loud noises from roudy ppl in the
street). We even tried ear plugs and still the noise level was so loud it was
as if we were sleeping outside
2. Shower - extremely small and the curtain was moldy at the bottom
3. Washer - nice to have a washer but there were no instructions on how to
use it so we weren't able to do so as it was quite confusing
Overall we would recommend this flat but would caution folks who prefer a
quite setting as the noise was often intolerable. -

We chose this apt. based on location and the layout and charm. The online photos were accurate- so we were pleased in that regard.
We arrived in Barcelona after traveling from the U.S., our luggage was lost, and we were exhausted. We gave the taxi driver our address, but unfortunately he dropped us off at the wrong address. After waiting for awhile, we called Pillow Apartments and the man who was to meet us at the apt yelled at us and was rude and upset that we were at the wrong address.
We found the correct address and rushed over only to be YELLED AT AGAIN for making him wait!!
What a rude welcoming to tired travelers!
The next day when our luggage was found, delivery was incomplete because Pillow Apt. didn't give us our apt. number ahead of time which we would've given the airlines at the airport.
Additionally, there was no garbage bags, toilet paper, or even a broom for use! I found that to very strange and inhospitable. The shower curtain was torn and after every shower the whole bathroom floor was soaked.

the apartment is really comfortable and luminous but the location is what I enjoyed the most. Few metres from Paseo de Gracia and the beautiful Pedrera and Battló houses. The street below was quiet and with many tapas restaurants and patisseries, hope i will get back to bcn soon!
