2 bedroom apartment of lovely design, very well located, 5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and 10 minutes from Plaza Catalonia. The apartment has 2 large double bedrooms with double bed in each, a large living room with an open kitchen and 1 large bathroom. This apartment is completely exterior with large window so it enjoys plenty of direct sunlight. The apartment is completely equipped and has TV, air condition in the living room, central heat, stereo system, video/DVD player and washing machine. It is 5th floor with out elevator.The location of this holiday apartment is excellent, in a nice street short walking distance from the Rambla del R...aval, the MACBA museum, the CCCB, plaza Catalunya, the gothic quarter and Passeo de Gracias are all within minutes walk.   Began well, but ended unpleasantly...

  We stayed in the apartment for 1 month.
  We chose them because they were the only ones who'd provide us baby-cot, high chair and baby bath.
  When we arrived, the shower was broken, but that was fixed the next day.
  
  However, what followed was everything but nice experience.
  
  Firstly, the difference between the photos and the reality was enormous - the apartment was very worn out and much smaller than stated on the website (75 m2, but it was more like 60-65 m2). The floors were quite dirty, so the first thing was to clean them.
  
  Additionally there were ants that also bit and were always in kitchen, on plates etc, also saw a couple of cockroaches.
  
  Next, the a/C was leaking a lot, so that we'd need to dry the kitchen every morning. As it leaked from different spots, placing the bowls was just a wild guess. Apartime said it is normal and would not do anything. Unfortunately it was not possible to leave the windows open for a night beacuse of the street noise.
  
  When we addressed the problems they aplogized, but would not offer any compensation for the inconveniences. They came up with ridicolous arguments such as the promotional price (which was not mentioned in the offer, also a promotional price would not mean that we have to put up with ants, cockroaches and malfunctioning a/C), that they are busy and have many apartments.
  
  They ended up being really patronizing and called the inconveniences "minor issues" not worthy of any compensation. For me it was not really minor issue to have itchy bites on me for the most of the month and killing the ants every day really disgusted me.
  
  For us just a ride to the airport would have been a gesture nice enough to express their concern and apology.
  In the end it was their attitude that was really disappointing.

  Nice and informative contact upon arrival.
  Comfortable, fairly spacious apartment at a central but calm location.
  Standard is above average with good kitchen and toilet facilities.
  Best was standard and location.
  Worse was lack of some cutlery.

  This is a spacious apartment in El Raval. Despite the long walk-up (you will need the
  exercise after all that tapas) this is a convenient place from which to base your stay.
  You are 5 minutes from the legendary La Boqueria and you have a fully-equipped
  kitchen to prepare the best that coastal Spain has to offer. What could be better?
  
  Cautions: El Raval is a youthful neighborhood and so it is loud at night sometimes,
  but the neighborhood is largely safe for travelers. There is no in-unit broadband so
  depending on your Internet needs you may need to visit the cafe downstairs and
  across the street for a cafe con leche. Lastly, Spain has wonderful coffees so it would
  be nice if the apartment had a Bialetti or some other simple espresso maker.
  
  Otherwise, great stay and service and I'd stay there again.
