Barceloneta is a neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona. It is known for its expanse of beaches , as well as its numerous bars and seafood restaurants . You will find the town close to the famous Barcelona port, near to some great museums, and within a short walking distance or a quick metro ride from all of the top spots for sightseeing in the city. La Barceloneta was originally constructed for the residents of La Ribera, who were displaced by the construction of the Ciutadella fortress built by King Felipe V in the 18th Century. Since then, with the development of Port Vell and Port Olímpic, the area has become a major attraction for tourists and residents. Nearby is the Barcelona aquarium and IMAX theatre, a large shopping center called Maremagnum, and a number of nightclubs, although the neighborhood itself is relatively quiet. If you walk down Passeig de Colom from Barceloneta, you will soon find yourself at Las Ramblas . Plenty of the beach apartments in Barcelona are located in this area, making it an ideal choice for a spring or summer vacation.

  Appartement très bien situé: à 5 minutes de la plage, avec petits commerces, restaurants, station de bus, métro et gare à proximité, ainsi que le zoo de Barcelone à 10 minutes de marche. Parfait pour 2 personnes, salle de bain étroite mais suffisante.
  A notre arrivéé, nous avons bien été accueillie, et il y avait même une bouteille de vin sur la table.
  Les propriétaires sont très aimables, Gustavo parle français, et lorsque nous avons rencontré un petit problème, il est venu de suite le régler.
  
  Le seul inconvénient, c'est le bruit parfois. Cet appartement se trouve dans une petite rue, et quelques habitants avant tendance à appeler leurs enfants à tout moment de la journée.
