Las Ramblas is one of the most famous streets in Barcelona. It separates two of the city's neighborhoods, The Gothic Quarter and El Raval , while connecting the Port and waterfront to Plaça de Catalunya. Although it is often referred to as one main avenue, Las Ramblas is actually made up of five different streets and is famous for many attractions, including the Liceu Theatre, the Boqueria Market , and the Wax Museum. You will also find an amazing array of souvenir shops, stalls, restaurants, street performers, cafés and much more, on and around Las Ramblas. The liveliness of the street that can be seen throughout the day, goes on into the night as the number of bars and clubs around the area make it popular for those looking to experience Barcelona's fantastic nightlife. A quick walk down one of the many side streets off Las Ramblas offers a quieter scene where you will find some authentic Catalan restaurants and unique stores offering traditional products. The appartement is a good combination of style (interior) and comfort (perfectly located). We liked the view over the placa del Catalunya to Tibidabo, short distance to sightseeing highlights, the feeling not to be a tourist you usually have when you stay in a hotel.
The only thing you should consider is the road noise.
We would not hesitate to book again. -

We stayed here in april 2012. The location is right in the heart of the city, is memorably located at the top of the apartment building, and serves as a great starting point from which to see the city. The apartment is beautiful, modern, and exactly as depicted in the photos. The owner lives in the building and is a wonderful host, providing us with a delicious bottle of wine on our arrival. The floor to ceiling windows in both the living area and the bedroom offer a fantastic view of the city. The apartment was one of our favorite memories of our visit.

This is the best place to stay in all Barcelona, period, no questions about it! If it were not for the beauty of Barcelona and its fabulous adventure, we would never have left the beautiful confines of this apartment. You are overlooking the center of Placa Catalunya from four floor-to-ceiling windows, which open up all the way for you to walk over to the balcony and see/feel the action below. We enjoyed many bottles of wine gazing at the stars and watching Barcelona come to life. The decor is magnificent; a stellar art collection on every wall; a full kitchen with basic amenities; two televisions; safe for your belongings; an adjustable bed; hardwood floors; stainless steel kitchen; underground Jacuzzi; modern and very comfortable furniture; and a very hospitable and kind landlord, who by the way lives right next door and can assist you with anything you need. The apartment is a work of art, to say the least. You feel very safe given there are three keyed entrances leading to your front door, all lock and key and under 24-hour surveillance. Once you walk outside, you are in the middle of Barcelona, in the square and just one turn to the famed la Ramla Street, cafe Zurich, and every world class restaurant you can imagine. Across the square you enter the shopping district, otherwise knows as the 5th avenue of Barcelona. Transportation is just steps away, taxis and the subway are right around the corner as well. Money exchange and banks are right before you as you step outdoors. Suffice to say, if you want to stay in Barcelona like the celebrities do, this is the, and only, place!

Perfect central location. Easy to get to from airport. Spottless on arrival.
Good views from all windows. Pictures on website are a good representation of property. Not too noisy despite very busy roads below.
Quirky decor; ensuite shower (relatively small) in bedroom, but toilet off of lounge.
Kitchen pretty well equipped, would be difficult to cook a big meal (but, frankly, who would want to?).
Massive TV in bedroom with DVD etc; electric beds.
Owner seems very nice, reliable and lives next door.
Only down point was that the jucuzzi bath was a bit of a dissapointment.
