Characterized by windy stone streets, the Old Town (Ciutat Vella) feels right out of a historic novel. The “Born” area of this district is known for its artistic expression with both large museums and small galleries. Often being referred to as Barcelona’s “Soho” the streets are alive at late hours with trendy eateries and small designer shops. The city’s church (Santa Maria del Mar), the Santa Caterina market, the Picasso Musuem and the Palau de la Musica Catalana are a just a few of the attractions not to be missed. With easy access to the verdant Ciutadella park and the Barceloneta beach, this upmarket district delivers convenience.
Integrated in a beautiful modernist building on Calle Picasso, this 60m2 apartment has a small balcony overlooking the park. It is decorated in light tones with minimalist lines and has natural light in all rooms.

A modern cheery look of the apartment really lifts up the family's (5-members) spirit after an 11-hour flight. The kitchen is well-equipped which we really make use of it. The environment is safe and one has no problem looking for a good sleep but the Mrs finds that the pillows are too soft.

This could have been a great apartment, it was clean, modern and very nicely located.
Unfortunately the constant drilling, banging and construction work all day was not mentioned by the letting agents Black & White.
They did not even offer alternative apartment when complaint was raised.
Bag storage after check out is also a problem- letting agents said 1 place but in fact they were wrong and a 1 hour round trip was needed to drop them off elsewhere.#Response from Isabel Salazar - 11/05/2012

Frist of all we want to say that this review is not for this apartment. At the beginning the clients had request for this apartment but finally they were staying at BWH Montjuic III. Unfortunately there were works in the basement of the buildingin and the owners promise us to finalize the works before the arrival of the clients but unfortunately they didn’t.
We were unable to move the clients into another apartment because we were full.
We are really sorry for this trouble that happen only that time. This is a wonderful building of apartments and we always want to make sure that your stay in Barcelona will be memorable. Please Let us prove it in your next visit.

The appartment is set on a great location, near the citycentre but lovely quiet. Just around the corner there are lovely shops, bars and restaurants.
The appartment is beautiful en gives you great comfort. -

I can really recommend to stay there.
It is close to bars, restaurants and small supermarkets.
We never took the metro, just walked to everywhere and there is a bike rental next to it to ride to the beach or other sights. -

Clean, lovely furnished appartment in El Born. Great location, close to Barrio Gotico en Barceloneta with great restaurants and nice view from balcony overlooking Citudela Park. Definitely stay here during your stay in Barcelona!!
