For two people the appartment in the old centre of Barcelona is very comfortable. I would also recommend it for parents with 2 children. The furnishing is functional and nice. All very clean; booking, check-in and check-out really unproblematic. It helps if you speak Spanish or English. We enjoyed our one week stay in September very much and would return anytime. Bedrooms are to the back of the house - quiet at night. Shops, restaurants, bus and trains in walking distance. We had no car and did not need one.
