The Dailyflats Barcelona Center is a complex formed by two building in the neighbourhood of Sant Antoni, in the Eixample district, only a 10 minutesβ walk away from Plaza Catalunya, the starting point of the famous βLas Ramblasβ and 2 minutes away from Passeig de Gracia, the best location for shopping in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
It has a total of 31 apartments, completely refurbished recently, maintaining all the charm of its original features. We manage 1-2 or 3 bedroom apartments totally equipped.

The Eixample is the modernist residential and commercial area which stems upwards and outwards from the Plaza Catalunya, its famous grid system of straight streets designed in the 1860s to accommodate the old cityΒ΄s swelling population.
The area is generally talked about in terms of its left side (of Paseo de Gracia) and right side. GaudiΒ΄s iconic Sagrada Familia church sits on the right side.
Most of the apartments in the Eixample are within easy walking distance from Paseo de Gracia with its two wonderful modernist period buildings by Antoni Gaudi and other architects.
The Eixample is very well connected, and from here you can easily walk or take buses or taxis to the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas for attractions such as the Picasso museum and the Cathedral.
There are endless restaurants and street cafes to relax in throughout the area, which is full of stunning modernist buildings adorned with intricate stone and iron facades.
This is where the rich and famous have traditionally lived and it is still a popular upmarket residential and business area.

After staying in several cramped hotels throughout Europe, our family really enjoyed the luxury of this nice roomy 3-bedroom apartment in Barcelona. We nicknamed it the Ikea apartment since almost everything came from Ikea. The aC had a minor water leak, but was fixed promtly. The location was just off of the busy streets so was pretty quiet, but also only a short walk to good shopping and food, or a subway.
The office to pick-up the key was a subway ride away and a bit inconvenient for newcomers to Barcelona. Would definitely recommend especially for families. -

The apartment had a key to the main entrance and electronic swipe keys for entry to the apartment. We were in this apartment 2 days and it was robbed. No forced entry, no working surveillance, dodgy security swipe keys. The burglars actually ripped the safe out from inside the wardrobe in the main bedroom, stuffed it in my backpack, and walked out with it, straight past a person supposedly installing a security camera. Dailyflats did not tell us when we rented the flat that another apartment in the same building had been robbed the week before. Dailyflats actually told us to leave our stuff in the safe. They also told us when they replaced the electronic swipe keys that the validity of one of the keys had expired. With no forced entry, we could only conclude the robbery was an inside job...

I liked living in Barcelona as "local" - that's most fun way for me to experience local culture.
Great appartment. Clean, nicely remodeled. All stainless steel appliances. Furniture is simple, but comfortable and appeared to be new. The beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning was keeping appartment cool.
The appartment was large - more than a family of 3 needed but it was still cheaper than hotels.
Management speaks English fluently. They are very friendly and available 24/7 by phone in case you need help.
In terms of surrounding area, there is a metro station a block away. Next to metro station there is large covered farmers' market with prices 10 times or more lowerer than the one on Ramblas and better selection. There is a supermarket next block across the street. Right next door to appartment building there is a cafe+bakery, nice place to have a breakfast or take it to appartment. On a corner of the block there is a small nice restaraunt. -

Had a wonderful time in the beautiful city of Barcelona - had a few issues during our stay and the helpfulness of the staff that assisted us was not as friendly and helpful as I would have liked and a simple miss understand caused us to have a very long night upon arrival. The apartment air conditioning was on the fritz although we spent very little time in the apt. and it was not a big issue. Overall the Flat is a wonderful way to stay in Barcelona and see the beautiful city - wish we could have stayed longer :)

The apartment seems to be newly rennovated, everything is nice and clean. The only downsides: no dayligh in one of the small bedrooms (which aparently is good if you need your child sleep longer), poor ventilation in the bathroom and, tradicionally - lack of tablets to the dishwasher. Nevertheless - I recommend it. In the neighbourhood plenty of food stores and bars / restaurants...

The apartment itself is nice. The building is well maintained and the apartment is spacious with all the necessities. However, be aware that there were no knives!! I'm not sure how they expected you to cook anything even though there's a full kitchen with all the amenities besides the most important thing - knives.
Now, the bad part: The apartment is located on the 4th floor, which you would think is not too bad. However, in Barcelona, the 4th floor is actually quite high as the buildings are tall and skinny. Thus, if you walked up from the ground floor, it is quite a walk since each floor has three sets of staircases - equating to 12 sets of stairs. Now, if you're younger, it's not a problem, though after a full day of walking around Barcelona that's the last thing you want to do. However, since I was traveling with my two parents, this became quite a challenge. Now, you may wonder, is there an elevator? Sure... But, I wouldn't take it...
On the first night we were there, the 1-2 person elevator broke while we were in it. Thus, we could not get out. Now, this elevator is tiny. Literally only one large adult or two smaller adults can fit. We pressed the emergency button 3 separate times only to have a Spanish only-speaking operator respond. Now, of course, this is expected, however, if you have international guests stay here, then you would expect that they would at least have an English speaking operator as you cannot expect all foreign guests to speak Spanish. Basically, 45 minutes later they were finally able to get someone there, only because there happened to be a Spanish speaking person who found us and started speaking to the operator. We found out later from another foreign guest that she too was stuck earlier in the day. This definitely ruined our stay. If it was a normal sized elevator, it wouldn't have been as big of a problem. However, due to its size and the claustrophobic nature of this tiny elevator, I would not recommend anyone staying here.Response from DAILYFLATS - 07/11/2012

Bear in mind that it is an ancient building which originally did not fit any elevator. Regarding to the Spanish speaking operator, we would like to point out that this service is provided by the company that carries out the maintenance of the elevator, so we cannot guarantee that they will be English speakers. The apartment was really nice but small. It stated that it would sleep 7 but that was a far stretch. Plus it was very difficult getting all of the luggage up to the apartment. Very nice and clean though. The individual from the office was very courteous and professional. Would highly recommend this to others (but smaller groups).

Staff is very friendly and service is very good.
Apartment was clean with all the things that we needed, when we reported that the water is getting blocked in the bathroom at 2000 Hrs, someone came within an hour to fix the problem.

It was almost exactly what I was looking for, home was really nice and clean - The only problem was the elevator ( a) small, b) get broken during our stay so we had to walk by stairs every time (not so great for my parents, especially during hot days)). Location is pretty good, with metro station few minutes away and close city-center. The team was really nice and helpful.

Perfect apartment: quite new, with space and many equipments. Great location in the center, near the Metro (only 5mn by walk). We was 4 girls so maybe the bathroom is not big enought :)...

large confortable flat in a very central location; all furnished.
some works in the building during the day when we were staying there but it stopped around 6 pm.
small balcony over the street; quiet enough for a city like Barcelona.
