Parsifal's situation is unique. On the left the popular Rambla, the Mercat de la Boqueria, which has the freshest produce and gourmet items with the most flavor of the city. Everything about the apartment was very good - great location, good size, very clean, etc...The only negative was that apparently, Juame was not available when we went to check in. We called to tell them we were on our way, and they gave us an address of their office where we could pick up the key. We took a cab (to make sure we wouldn't get lost) and upon arrival at the address, we could not find the name of the rental agency listed in the building directory. After calling again, we found out that the office was in that building, but was listed under a different name - odd we weren't told that to start with. They gave us the key and the address, along wih directions - 10 minute walk away. When we got to the building, we realized we had no idea which apartment we rented. We just had to use the key and go from door to door until it opened one. Fortunately it was a week day and we hope the tenants of other apartments we tried to enter were at work! Other than this issue, which based on other reviews is no the norm, we had no complaints or problems with our stay. As others have mentioned, it is right off La Ramblas and very close to the market. Everything you need (including a metro stop) is right at the doorstep.

Thank you for your review and I am happy to hear you had an enjoyable time in Barcelona staying at our Parsifal apartment.
As you mention, I was at a meeting at that time, so could not meet you personally on the day of your arrival, but you contacted me by phone, when you arrived, as all our clients do, to arrange check-in. Later, our staff in the office took good care of you.
The circumstances around how we made that phone contact, certainly explain the difficulty Tim964 had in finding our office. Tim964 called me on a cell phone borrowed from someone at the cruise terminal, but when he asked to have his phone back (so he wouldn't have to pay for Tim964's call), we were cut short as I was explaining how to find bizFlats office at Plaça Catalunya. I called the number back three times, but got no answer.
That meant I could not tell her that the bizFlats office is located in a large business center on the first floor of Plaça Catalunya, 9.
The other issue Tim964 had about not finding her apartment :
All of our clients with confirmed reservations, receive a booking confirmation note with the name and exact address of their apartment, the floor and the apartment number... I can only imagine that this happened because Tim964 didn't have with her her booking confirmation note.

The Good:
1- Jaume was waiting for us the apartment. on time. he explain every thing for us, he give us good information about the area, he did every thing he promise.
2- location 10m from La Rambla you can go the water front or to the plaza catolny, 12m from metro station.
3- Kitchen: was new and fully equipped
4- size: was good for Europe standard
The Bad:
the sofa was clean but very old and too consumed

We found this apartment a few days before we were due to fly out. We were apprehensive since there were not too many reviews. The apartment is located right very close to La Rambla and Licieu theatre. It is spacious, well kitted out & secure and my two teen aged kids absolutely loved the place. There are plenty of places to go out to eat and the Boqueria market with fruit, veg and fish stalls is 2 minutes away. Breakfast in the market stall was an experience! Support from Juame was prompt and 5 star. He would answer any query/text without hesitation and point you in the right direction

My husband and I stayed with friends in this apartment for one week from 7th September 2012. We chose this particular apartment because of its location and the fact it has two bathrooms. The third bedroom came in very handy as my husband snores badly so I could escape the noise! The apartment contains one spacious double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The middle bedroom has two large single beds. The third bedroom contains one single bed. The apartment is air conditioned and has a small balcony. The kitchen has hot plates, oven, microwave and combination washing machine/dryer. The lounge/dining area was ample for the four of us especially as we didn't spend much time in the apartment. Its location to La Rambla is superb. A 30 metre walk from the front door and you're on La Rambla. Directly opposite the apartment is the Liceu Theatre. The Liceu Metro is literally a 30 metre walk from the front door. We could not have chosen better accomodation for the price. When we arrived in Barcelona we had no trouble contacting the managing agent. His name is Jaume Barberena, he is very professional and he speaks perfect English. We took the airport shuttle to Placa Catalunya and the Bizflats office is literally on the square. We met Jaume who was on time and he walked us down La Rambla to the apartment. A 7-10 minute walk at most. Jaume is extremely knowledgeable about Catalunya and was only too happy to provide information about the city and its attractions. We had a slight problem with the safe in that it ran out of battery and we couldn't open it so I phoned Jaume and he arrived very promptly with new batteries - problem fixed. The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessible via lift and stairs. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone who wants to spend some time in Barcelona. It is not The Ritz but it is clean, well appointed, comes with free wifi and faultless in its location.

We spent a week in this great unit. The metro station is steps away and all the Ramblas activity is within walking distance. The unit is comfortably equipped. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks to Jaume for some nice restaurant suggestions and overall helpfulness.

It is a Very Good++ (no ability for 1/2 star)
I would like to emphasis the great customer relationship and service we got from the owners, easy communication, availability, willing to help etc.
The appartment was very usefull, in excellet!! location and with good setup for our family.
We got early and were able to store the lougage in the appartment (before the check-in time and later we had it all clean.
One thing to improve - the sink in the large bathroom was blocked and we ended up opening it... other then that - great!

We loved everything about Parsifal. We brought our son who lives in Berlin and our daughter from the us. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very quiet. It was a few steps from La Rambla, but the bedrooms were on the back of the apartment so we never heard a sound. We were able to walk most places, and the subway station(Liceu) was very close to where we were. We went to the opera which was across the street, and walked to the market every morning to get breakfast. There was plenty of room, storage for clothes, lots of lounging room. Jaume' was very nice and very helpful in telling us where to eat and have drinks. We especially liked the rooftop bar in the hotel across the street. He also arranged transportation from the airport which made our life easier. We would book Parsifal again if we go back to Barcelona. Its a fabulous city with the Gaudi architecture, great restaurants, waterfront and art. We are so glad we stayed there for 8 days.

This was our first trip to Barcelona and we will definitely be back! The apartment was perfect for our needs; we had some friends staying with us for part of the week, so the space was great, and even when it was just the two of us the layout was perfect and the extra space was a treat after staying in hotels. The location is literally steps from La Rambla and next to the Opera, at the Liceu Metro stop. Short walk to the Boqueria (Public Market) and right in the heart of all of the sights, sounds and tastes of Barcelona. The apartment is very comfortable, has all the basics for your stay and is surprisingly quiet for the location. Jaume, the property manager, really helped acclimate us to the neighborhood, and if you are lucky enough to meet him on arrival, he's one of the lasting memories of our trip as well. We would definitely recommend this location to people traveling with others or with children.
