Appartement très sale, vieillot, à rénover d'urgence : les meubles abîmés recouverts d'une couche de graisse dans la cuisine et SDB, et de traces de liquide sur la commode de la chambre, rideau de la douche dégoutant...et j'en passe + dès l'entrée une odeur épouvantable d'urine envahit les lieux, retrouvée sur certains oreillers et couettes.
A Fuir absolument!!!

I spent one week in the apartment of Carrer de Montcada, next to Picasso
absolute calm for what concerns the bedroom - a small one, with two single beds, overlooking a very quiet street - so that sleeping is not affected in the least by the inevitable noise of Montcada. The other room, with kitchenett, is spacious enough for the daily needs of two persons. The wifi signal is perfect. And, on top of all these qualities: contacts by phone before arrival and 24 hour assistance durino the stay are flawless. No hotel accomodation in BCN could compare!

Cet appartement est très bien situé pour visiter Barcelone. L'appartement est situé dans une rue et un quartier très sympas mais extrêmement bruyant (prévoir obligatoirement des tampons pour les oreilles du mercredi au dimanche!)
Il est fonctionnel mais la salle de bain est minuscule (cet appartement convient à 2 personnes maximum).
Les escaliers pour monter à l'appartement ne sont pas adaptés aux personnes âgées.
L'accueil de l'agence est parfait: souriant et efficace! -

We are two couples from Belarus, who traveled to Barcelona to visit all places of interests and have fun in this incredible city.
1. Staff was punctual and polite. There were no problems with getting keys and checking in and out.
2. Apartment is on upper floor with no elevator, so be prepared for a long and intense walk.
3. Location is awesome. 5 minutes to metro station. 10-15 minutes by walk to the beach, Rabmla and Catalunya pl.
4. Flat is pretty clean but not so cool as on pictures. But everything was working except bathroom locker (!). Terrace is awesome. It so cool to sit there while enjoying fresh air, Barcelona sights and communicating with friends with a couple of drinks.
5. Pretty quite. Beds are good, we slept well. -

Bien situé, a 500m du métro et a 15min de la place de Catalunya, l'appartement est suffisamment grand pour 4. Un vaste séjour avec cuisine, salon et un clic clac et une chambre individuelle avec accès a la salle de bain.
C'est clairement destiné au courts séjours, juste pour y dormir, se laver et y prendre un café : exactement se qu'on voulait ! -

Nos agradó muchísimo la estadía en Diagonal Flats, las personas que nos atendieron en todo momento MUY amables, el apartamento muy cómodo, bien ubicado,limpio y MUY Completo, con todos los accesorios de cocina necesarios para pasar unos buenísimos días de hospedaje. Nos encantó estar allí, volveremos con seguridad y los recomendaremos. Gracias a los 3, Oscar, Amadeus y el Señor MUY amable que nos despidió, que disculpe que no recordamos su nombre...Pero Igualmente Muchas Gracias. Mi recomendación es, que realmente no se si las tendrán, que alguna habitación tenga camas matrimoniales...Sería BuenÍSimo y además más altas...Muchísimas Gracias!!!

Se trata de un edificio antiguo y las puertas no encajan muy bien y se oye un poco de ruido de los vecinos. Por lo demás esta estupendo, a dos minutos andando de la Sagrada Familia, metro y bus. Bien equipado y limpio y el personal muy amable y atento. 100% recomendable.

I find the price/quality ratio for this apartment at via Moncada very low. What I mean is that if one decides to pay a decent price (about 120/night in this case)some quality for it would be expected.
During the booking process there seemed to be a very strict procedure about responding to e-mails and specifying time of arrival, etc. In the end we were accommodated by a substitute who was a very polite lady but held herself not responsible for whatever since she was just a substitute and the agency was closed since it was holiday time!!! Well most tourists come in holiday times and that's when prices are highest, so if "the agency" wants to make money they should be working and providing some service...
The apartment itself was in a very old building with very basic cheap and old furniture, hardly any kitchen utensils or unusable once such as a "cafetiera di casa" which could not be used on a induction plate... so it was hard to make some koffie in the morning...
Moreover the place was very dark (hardly any external light and few weak light bulbs) and humid. So the towels provided were usable only the first day.
Finally the place was very noisy since all tapas bars are open until late and after they close the cleaning process starts to be continued in the early morning with garbage collection and reparation works.
So briefly:
positive aspects - perfect location, friendly lady providing the keys on time.
negative aspects - dark and humid place, questionable hygiene and poor maintenance.
The place could be perfect for young people coming to enjoy staying late and having lots of drinks, when the rest does not matter that much. For family stay - less appropriate.

The apartment is clean, well furbished, the little terrasse has a fantastic view; A lot of shops and bars-restaurants around but no problem for sleeping (i've got 2 little children)..Not so far from Barceloneta' beaches and close to the rest of Barri Gotic (being itself located in middle-age street Carrer de Montcada very close to Catedral del Mar and Museu Picasso)..
You have to walk up 4 narrow flights of stairs,I did it with the strollers, so if you have problem with stairs choose the other apartments in the same building,but you'll miss the terrasse..
Check-in and Check-out easy and without any problems..

Great apartment for a reasonable price. Easy booking (if necessary, staff will help you with any questions related to booking, check in and check out). Wonderful helpful staff. The location is excellent if you want to hang around Center. Easy to find. The nearby metro and bus stops, many shops, restaurants, cafes and market. I was pleased staying in Barcelona and I am glad that chose an apartment DiagonalFlats.

The aprtament was quiet pleasant and reasonably well furnished with essentials. Great location. The only thing that spoilt our 2 night stay was roudy neighbors in ajoining apartments. The second night which was a Friday night, the nosie subsided as about 5am.

Hello,
The reservation went good. The apartment had a nice location. The apartment self was good. Only the kitchen was dirty, the dry reck for te dishes was broken, there was a lot of mold on the walls in the bathroom, the bed was very low and on the bench and walls were a lot of dirty stains.
The person who checked us out was very cantankerous.
Conclusion. To much money for the apartment.

Metro at 10 minuts not 200 meters. We paied 40 euros fees as late check in arriving at 9.10 p.m (only 10 minutes later than 9.00 pm)That's incredible! -

The apartment is very small but is more than ok if you are travelling alone or with another person, because the sofa-bed is comfortable and spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is small, but ok.
The location is absolutely great, we almost saw all of the so called "central Barcelona" on foot.
The only thing not so great was the noise, whether it came from the street(mainly from the restaurant across the street or the air conditioning from the other apartment building situated 2,5 meters from our window) or from the apartments next to ours, you could hear it all. We also had the bad luck of having construction works being done in the building right beside ours.

Viajei para BCN com mais 6 amigos e optamos por ficar num apartamento. Quando procuramos na web a opção "Diagonal Flats" surgiu como uma das opções maiseconómicas tendo em conta as fotografias apresentadas no website de pesquisa: www.barcelona30.com
O apartamento que nos foi atribuído ficou muito aquém das fotos apresentadas e ainda nos cobraram mais 50 € relativos à limpeza do referido apartamento. Se no momento de escolha tivesse sido apresentado este valor adicional, provavelmente a nossa opção teria sido outra. Quando reservarem na Diagonal Flats tenham muita atenção aos valores extra que esta empresa cobra! -

The location is perfect, the flat is clean and the staff very nice. Only the twin beds are a bit annoying because very noisy and unstable at all.
Internet was not working during all the week-end but it seems that it was the telephony provider's fault. -

This apartment was very spacious, had a functioning washing machine, and was conveniently located to the Barcelona metro, only two stops from Estacio Sants, from which you can take the train to the airport. Several great restaurants for tapas are located within a few minutes walking distance.

la posizione dell'appartamento è abbastanza centrale. riposare però è impossibile per il rumore della via principale ed anche delle abitazioni intorno. l'igene una parola non conosciutta: i materassi erano puzzolenti. l'arredamento semplice, ma funzionale; da parte delle sedie - di plastica, tutte rotte ed anche pericolose. La cosa più negativa era: per un arrivo dopo le ore 23 abbiamo dovuto pagare una penale di 40 Euro, va bene siamo stati avvisati di questo, però fatteci almeno trovare una bottiglia d'acqua in frigo, niente. siamo arrivati alle 23.50 e poi ci siamo avviato per trovare un bar aperto, tutto chiuso, alla fine abbiamo acquistato l'acqua al distributore di benzina.

The location was great - right in the middle of the pedestrian area, 2 minutes of walk from the Cathedral, 1 minutes from the Museum of Picasso, about 15 minutes walk from the beach, with numerous restaurants, shops right at your doorstep. The downside of it - it gets quite noisy at night (especially on weekends). The building and the apartment has loads of character, though does need some updating. The cleaning was somewhat patchy. It needs better dusting. The service from the agent was excellent though. She was very punctual and responsive. Once when we accidently locked ourselves out (forgot the keys in the apartment), she turned out within half an hour and let ourselves in. In short if you want to be in the very centre and do not mind some noise and sruffiness - it might be a good choice for you.

Nous avons passé une nuit seulement sur place avec mon mari et nos 2 enfants( 2ans et 7 ans)les appartements sont faciles à trouver dans Barcelone. l accueil est rapide, mais sympa et efficace avec des conseils sur les visites à faire ou se garer et comment se déplacer...
L appartement est propre et spacieux, un peu bruyant, on entend les voisins et la rue mais ça ne nous a pas empêché de dormir.
Tout est fourni, draps, serviettes, sèche cheveux... Même le lave linge!
Pour le prix, j attendais pas plus!

Je suis trés déçue par le manque de professionnalisme d'only appart car nous avions loué un appartement à Barcelone et voilà qu'en arrivant, nous ne pouvions rester qu'une nuit car pour une obscure raison, que nous n'avons toujours pas compris, l'appartement ne pouvait plus être à louer. Donc nous voilà arrivés dans une ville inconnue et sans logement! Ca commençait bien! Ensuite, si je n'avais pas insisté voir menacer la propriétaire de me rendre au consultat de France pour régler tout cela, je pense qu'elle ne se serait pas embêter à nous reloger. Donc voilà aprés une discsussion âpre, elle nous a trouvé un logement du même prix et de qualité nettement supérieure! Mais bon ne louez surtout pas rue Montcada si vous souhaitez dormir!
voilà! Mise à part cela, nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances à Barcelone -

Il trattamento a noi riservato nella seconda settimana di Luglio è stato impeccabile. L'appartamento, seppure dalle evidenti origini meno recenti, presenta caratteri molto moderni, dalla grande accoglienza. Non abbiamo avuto nessun tipo di problema, anzi è stato tutto molto accurato e predisposto per un' ottima accoglienza. Appartamento pulito e completo di ogni sorta di servizio. Le persone sono state tutte gentilissime e, soprattutto, molto puntuali e precise.
Concludendo, le nostre necessità sono state pienamente soddisfatte -

Location is pretty much as good as you can get. You're near a beautiful park, a market (Santa Caterina Market) that is better than la boqueria in my opinion and within walking distance from both the beach and the city sights. Born is one of the hippest parts of Barcelona and it's hard to go wrong for amazing chocolate shops, great pinchos, bars and cafes. Apartment at the time we visited needed the shower fixing (it didn't stay on it's hook so had to hold it while washed). There's also not loads of light but for the price and the location I thought it was really good value. One word of caution is that it is up 3 flights of stairs - we didn't find this a problem but if you're with someone elderly or not very fit this might be an issue.

Centrally located, fully furnished, kitchen with all appliances. Quite clean although the shower had some humidities... Good pressure and hot water. Air conditioner a bit weak. Bed too soft, but several kinds of pillows. Tv antenna not working but wifi was awesome! Noisy neighbours. And you could clearly hear them using the shower, etc. from the bedroom

Ottima posizione, appartamento in discrete condizioni ma di certo migliorabile:
la cucina è vecchia ed alcune ante sono in parte rotte.
le pentole sono poche e mancano diversi utensili da cucina (forbici, utensili di legno e/o plastica per le pentole antiaderenti)
tostapane mezzo rotto...
televisione oscena (a tubo catodico con il digitale terreste che praticamente non funziona) si vedono tre canali in tutto
l'aria condizionata ha il gas probabilmente esaurito e, pertanto, funziona come ventilatore invece che fare fresco...
In un soggiorno di oltre una settimana (abbiamo fatto 11 giorni) lenzuola ed asciugamani andrebbero cambiati. Penso che un cambio settimanale sarebbe normale...
Infine il servizio ricevuto. Nulla da dire all'arrivo. Alla partenza, invece, come lo scorso anno, la persona incaricata è arrivata con 1 ora e 20 minuti di ritardo. Abbiamo dovuto fare le corse per non perdere l'aereooo!!! -

Der Empfangsservice war miserabel.Kein Mensch da,obwohl wir auf Nachfrage 16 Uhr ankunft angegeben haben.Haus war nicht zu erkennen,
andere Hausnummer,24 gibt es nicht,es war 27.Erst nach kosten verursachenden Telefonaten war jemand zu erreichen,der nach 1 Std.kam.
Apartement geräumig und sauber.Balkon verdreckt mit Popcorn,Taubenmist und Zigarettenstummeln.
Gepäckaufbewahrung bei abreise nur gegen aufpreis von 25 Euro möglich.

L'appartamento è enorme(160mq),ha addirittura una capacità massima di 15 persone!!Purtroppo la via su cui si affaccia è piuttosto rumorosa e strutturalmente l'appartamento è vecchiotto inoltre l'arredamento è piuttosto spartano.Da segnalare la cucina completissima di tutto.Buona anche la pulizia generale ma il punto forte è il prezzo,davvero imbattibile se si è in gruppo!

Gli appartamenti erano ben collocati (praticamente in centro). Non abbiamo avuto nessun problema per prenotare, il servizio è stato piu che soddisfacente:la persona che ha portato le chiavi è stata gentilissima e puntuale e l'appartamento era ben fornito. Dall'altraparte l'appartamento non era pulitissimo ma accettabile!

We stayed in a flat for a week. It´s a good variant for friends or a young couple who are not going to spend all day in. Great location! shops, cafes, chinese restaurant nearby (where you can always eat a lot for cheap price), fruit shop just at the entrance of the apartments. It´s not a luxury apartments but everything but there was everything necessary such as towels, teapot, dishes, washing machine,hair dryier. Recommended!

the location of the apartment was very good; close to shopping, sightseeing and to the sea. The area was nice as well, with a variety of restaurants etc to choose from. Overall the stay in the apartment went smoothly, but there was a few points that could have further improved the experience. First, the person who was supposed to check us in and give us the keys was 40 min late, which left us standing outside the house at the front door with our luggage. Second, there could have been some basic things supplied "by the apartment", like toilet paper, soap and salt and pepper. The apartment is not suitable for people who for example need a wheelchair since there is lots of stairs to the apartment (and no elevator) and a couple of stairs inside the apartment.

We stayed in in the heart of the Barrio Gotic, Carrer d'Avinyo 24, apts 2a & 3a (we had to move the 4th night because of a broken futton.) The flat, besides being rather small, proved very frustrating at night. the level of noise coming from the street all night long quickly became unbearable! there is a bar right across the street and another one right next door. You can hear everything, and even breathe-in the cigarette smoke from the people standing outside these two bars until very late. Add to the that the skateboarders, trash collection trucks which do their rounds between 2 and 3 am, metal curtains being opened and closed from the businesses around, and party-goers tumbling home in the late hours, and you find yourself quickly screaming for some quiet. The only time we were able to get some sleep was between 4 am and 8 am! Also, the loft that holds the two beds has a very low ceiling (if you are taller than 5ft you'll have to bend over not to hit your head with the ceiling beams). this might be an OK location for one pr two nights if you will be out very late, but definitely it was not ideal for the two week stayed we had.
Also, we arrived the first day of a holiday weekend. that first night we realized the futton (which serves as the 3rd bed) was broken. we had to move the mattress to the floor for my daughter to sleep, we could not get hold of anyone at the rental company to assist us over the weekend, we had to wait until our fourth night, their next business day, to get assistance. it would be good for diagonal flats to have an emergency contact or someone "on call" on weekends. -

Le service de l'appartement était correct. L'appartement est grand et agréable même à 14, la cuisine est toutefois trop petite ainsi que les sanitaires. Il est bien placé dans la ville avec le métro juste à côté. On peut facilement faire ces courses ou visites à pieds. Nous avons tous trouvé l'appartement et le quartier sympas même avec ces défauts.

I was in an apartment in calle aviyon, Barcelona.
The picture of the apartment shows a window that is not real, the apartment is a prison.
It's a real pity, because it sports a wonderful location, a few minutes away from the Rambla and from the Liceu tube station.
But I was totally disapponted by the behaviour of Cristina, the lady I had been in contact with, before arriving to Barcelona. First of all, her English is terrible, she is not able to write in a clear way and does not understand on the phone.
We were 12 people, in three apartments, and had problems with the payments: Cristina gave us different explanations, everytime different, in a very confusing way. Inn the end, she wanted 50 euro more...
And the service given is really terrible. Lucas was ok, but the person in charge is Cristina, and she really is not professional.
There is no wifi connection in the appartment, I have always called Cristina from my mobile, but when we had to solve the payment problems, she was not available. I went to a restaurant to have the connection on my Tablet, sent her an email, asking her to be available by mobile, because we could not have more chance to connect. Neverthless she ansewered by email, and was not available py phone. -

Da evitare assolutamente ! Anche di proporlo per un' agenzia seria.
La persona che ha consegnato le chiavi era educata e puntuale ma questa è la sola cosa positiva.
L'appartamento, se così vogliamo chiamarlo, è ciò che resta dalla divisione in 2 di uno più grande, era sporco con polvere dappertutto e assolutamente inadatto ad ospitare 4 persone visto che una volta aperto il divano letto non si apre più la porta di ingresso mettendo a rischio la sicurezza in caso di emergenza. Il lavandino del bagno perde acqua dagli scarichi sul pavimento.
Nella zona doccia si fa fatica ad entrare e non ci sono finestre verso l' esterno. Negativa anche la doppia gestione della prenotazione agenzia- proprietario che chiedono tutti e due un acconto in tempi diversi e con modalità diverse. -

The accommodation was great. It was clean and it had a very good location in the heart of the city. However we were not satisfied with the staff. According to the confirmation from diagonalflats we had to pay extra fee for early check-out. The rate they sent was the following:
from 2:00 to 6:00 = 40 € and from 6:00 to 8:30 = 25 € . We had to check-out at 6:00 to get our plane in time. But we had to pay 40 € instead of 25 €. When we asked why we were told that Lucas (the man who appeared to do the check-out) had to get up before 6 a.m. to get to the apartment to 6 a.m. I think this explanation is unacceptable, we were tricked. We won't choose nor recommend diagonalflats in the future.

Our appartment was quite good: small price, good location, nice service.
I give 3-star review because one pipe in bathroom was little bit broken and sometimes floor was a bit wet.
Otherwise it would be 4-star overall and 5-star for value/price ratio. -

Je eigen voordeur in een prachtig straatje, naast het Picasso museum! Alle winkeltjes en restaurants binnen handbereik, maakten dit appartement tot een bijzondere plek. Keerzijde van deze toplocatie is de herrie 's nachts op straat.
Ruimte genoeg voor 3 personen, goede bedden. Het servies was aan de magere kant. -

Cosy appartement with nice colours. Just 100 m from the metro station, great to see Barcelona. We misses an safebox in the appartement and one shower and toilet is also a bit uncomfortable for 4 persons. The service was great, before we left we got an email how to get to the appartement, the service was efficient and polid.

l'appartement est très bien placé et calme, la literie est confortable, ce qui est agréable après une longue journée de marche dans Barcelone pour un repos bien mérité et pouvoir repartir en forme le lendemain. La cafetière est minuscule, et le séche-cheveux hors d'usage. Le nécessaire de ménage dans la salle de bain n'est pas des plus agréable. Si vous comptez uniquement dormir et prendre le petit déjeuner l'appartement est parfait. Si vous comptez y passer plus de temps,c'est un peu limite : la fenêtre ne donne que peu de luminosité dans la pièce. Pour ce que nous cherchions, c'était bien.

The apartment was confortable and really close to the Rambla but the heaters didn't work well and it was freezing! The guy who gave us the key (Lucas) was really kind and available for any need! There is a supermarket nearby and also lots of shops and restaurants; Sheets were not very clean but in the all it was a nice place to stay and it's worth it! Free wi fi was greatly apprecciated!

L' appartamento è proprio come sulle foto.Abbastanza pulito e molto centrale.L' unico problema era internet con la rete Wireless cosi lontana che non ce la faceva a connettersi.L' ultimo giorno, nonche mattino siamo rimasti senza luce..e noi partendo alle 7 di mattino non vedevamo in pratica nulla.

A very service oriented provider of vacation apartments. Especially agent Cristine in Barcelona. Credit card payment is a welcome benefit for U.S. travellers.
My reservation in BCN was easily transacted, promptly confirmed and Cristine gave me additional information and service whenever needed. Flexible with check-in and check-out time. Upon arrival, I found the apartment exactly as described on-line. Key transfer, etc. was right on time.
The floor could have been swept a bit better. A dust-choked ventilation fan in the bathroom labored with loud noise, permanently wired to the light. Furniture is Ikea quality, clean and bit tired. All the equipment worked. Without manuals, it took a while to figure out settings, turn on/off, etc. of the appliances. Dishes, pots, utensils and table ware is sufficient. There are absolutely no consumables in the apartment. There is no information about stores, etc. in the vicinity. Fortunately, I found it all within a hundred yards or so. The apartment has no WiFi, but good cell phone connection.
My apartment - "Avinyo C" came with a special feature: insomnia! The neighbors above you are done screaming at their screaming children by about midnight. Then the noise of foot traffic in the narrow streets, including skate boarders, mopeds, chatting tourists, hollering hordes of soccer fans, etc. is funneled up to your window until about 4 am. Fri and Sat nights add illegal beer vendors, who yell at each other and passers-by. The occasional hashish seller is rather quiet. Between 4 and 6 am, the street sweeper and trash removal vehicles come through. Do not rent in this location if you have any intention to sleep during your vacation.
I will certainly consider DiagonalFlats for my European vacation plans in the future, but be very careful about location and amenities (or lack of).

DiagonalFlats Barcelona is a very service oriented provider of vacation apartments. Especially agent Cristine is prompt in returning e-mail inquiries and provides courteous service. The website allows for easy review of the available apartment inventory for a given time frame and location, but does not have a search feature (I could not find one) that allows you to retrieve a specific apartment and its features. I had to frequently re-inquire about inventory, then search the provided items to locate "my" apartment again for further study. DiagonalFlats allows payment via credit card, a welcome benefit over other rental providers who insist on wire transfers or similar - which is an expensive proposition from the U.S.
My particular rental reservation in Barcelona was easily transacted, promptly confirmed and Cristine gave me additional information and service whenever needed. I received welcome flexibility with check-in and check-out time. Upon arrival, I found the apartment exactly as described on-line, nothing more, nothing less. I was met at the appointed hour for apartment review and key transfer.

The furniture was at or below Ikea quality, clean, and looking a bit tired. All the equipment worked properly, but without manuals, it took a while to figure out proper heater and a/C setting, how to get the electric stove top to "un-lock", the TV and DVD player switched and the washing machine to spin. Dishes, pots, utensils and table ware is sufficient. There are absolutely no consumables in the apartment. No condiments, alu foil or wrap, no napkins, dish wash sponge or laundry soap, no paper towels, no soap or shampoo. There is no information provided about bakery, grocery store, deli, bars, restaurants or aTM in the vicinity. Fortunately, I found it all within a hundred yards or so. The apartment has no WiFi, but good cell phone connection. I was provided with a 24-hour service telephone number in case of unexpected needs, but nobody answered when I used it. Again, Cristine answered an e-mail of mine promptly and solved my problem.
My apartment - "Avinyo C" came with a special feature: insomnia! It is located (as is avinyo a and B) on the first floor (above ground floor) at an intersection in the old city center with high foot traffic. The neighbors above you are done screaming at their screaming children, and the children are done bouncing around, by about midnight. Then the noise of foot traffic in the narrow streets, including skate board riders, mopeds, chatting tourists, hollering hordes of soccer fans, etc. is funneled up to your bed room window until about 4 in the morning. Friday and Saturday nights in this intersection add illegal beer vendors, who yell at each other and passers-by. The occasional hashish seller is rather quiet. There are a lot of positive aspects about this apartment. Location comes first. Being right next to the Picasso museum and others, it allows you to get anywhere in the Old Town without effort. It is quite noisy, but this is Barcelona. Meeting and greeting was beyond expectations. I got all the information on time, I was guided before the arrival and on the arrival day I was waited for at the apartment. Everything ran so smoothly and stress free.
The apartment has everything one needs for a shorter or longer stay. It was also very clean.
As for myself, I think I would have liked to find a minimal welcome package (which is usually easy to arrange from other stays there): a bottle of water in the fridge, a little bit of salt, sugar, a couple of tea bags would be enough after a long trip, before you go and do your own shopping. The bed in the badroom should be a proper bed with a proper matress. It is a bit hard for people with a tired back, and these are not only old people.
All in all, I had a lovely stay there. Thank you! -

We stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks. The apartment was clean when we moved in and the people greeting us friendly and spoke english well. We did have a few things that were broken in the apartment (toaster, TV, and a window that could not be closed), but these items were fixed or changed immediately, within a couple of hours. It was easy to get hold of the landlord and they were very helpful when things needed to be fixed. We had two cats with us and the landlord was very good about letting them stay. The apartment had everything that we needed including central heating, a washing machine, hair dryer, and all the kitchen utensils/equipment except for a dishwasher. The WiFi was very fast and worked superbly. Drying our clothes on a clothes rack was a little new for us, but the clothes dried in half a day, and made our experience more authentically Barcelonian. The apartment had nice tile floors, but these were a little cold, and to be comfortable we had to buy some cheap slippers that we found in a store close by.
The apartment is very conveniently located, close to all the sights in Barcelona, with 2 metro stops a couple of blocks away. Several fruit/vegetable stores, bakeries, meat/seafood stores, bank, automated teller, internet cafe, and pharmacy in the same block or within a block or so. The veterinary store was in the same block.
There are also several restaurants and tapas places around.
Over all we had a very nice stay and enjoyed Barcelona.

The location of this apartment is absolutely superb. It's right next to the Picasso museum, in a very lively quarter, but not _too_ close to the areas that are teeming with tourists.
The person giving us the keys was very polite and punctual. We were also able to extend our stay for a couple of hours for a small fee.
The apartment itself was clean and tidy. I do suggest you keep it that way, as ants will quickly find their way to the kitchen if you don't. -

Excellent location - 15 min walk from Nord bus station - next to Picasso museum - so plenty of security cameras - but very noisy at night - good apartment but beware!!! Its a 4th floor apartment and had a difficult time going up the stairs with two little kids and pushchair -- excellent communication with staff both by email and phone and very good overall service -- would strongly recommend if you can carry ear plugs to sleep well at night and don't mind walking up the staircase!

the appartement is very good located. The check-in and out very easy. the vacation is clean and have all you need to have a good time. But you can heard all that your neighbourg do at the next floor and if they do a lot of noise, you and your children cannot sleep (sometimes up to 1am). And it is quickly a big problem with young kids.

Le gros problème est l'insonorisation avec l'étage supérieur et certains soir impossible de dormir avant minuit ou plus tard, ce qui est pénible lorsque vous avez des enfants en bas age. -

we staid at the Diagonal 1 apartment in Barcelona wit review of 8.4. the apartment was dirty with bugs running all over.
the windows are not sealed properly and you could here everyone that is walking at the stairs. The a/C make strange noise and we couldn't sleep all night. -

We had a nice stay at this well located appartment. The beds were very comfortable. The boulevard is quite noisy.
The only bad surprise was the cleanliness : rust in the kitchen sink, bathroom walls need to be painted, shower tiles need cleaning, corners are not cleaned. -

Das Flat lag wirklich sehr zentral im Viertel Born. Nebenan war direkt das Picasso-Museum. Zum Strand läuft man ca. 10Min. Shopping und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind direkt um die Ecke. Das ein und auschecken war total unkompliziert und wir wurden wirklich sehr nett empfangen.
Gegenüber des Flats gibt es eine Champangerbar. Dies muss einem bewusst sein, da es am abend bis tief in die Nacht sehr laut ist. Das ist jedoch für Barcelona einfach normal.
Das Flat war recht schlicht eingerichtet. Da wir es jedoch nur zum schlafen genutzt haben, war es völligst in Ordnung.
Für erholsame Tage würde ich was anderes suchen. -

I was there with my friends from 22 to 27 september 2011. The appointment for the delivery of the keys was to 7 30 pm, but the compliance officer had one hour of delay. when she get there she was irritated by our complaints and she wasn't very kind... the apartment was beatiful but the light of one bedroom didn' work and the WC was broken too. the aprtment was not very clean and there was a lot of dust... the wifi didn't work... the position was wonderfull!

The apartment that we rent (Palau de la Musica II) was well located but it cost 126 Euro a night. It supposedly included cleaning worth 60Euro. When we arrived there, the apartment was dirty. Below the beds there was dust. There was dust over the surfaces and the air conditioning could not be turned off. It was set to 21 so it was cold in the apartment. We had to turn off the electricity to turn off the air conditioning.
I don´t understand that cleaning cost us 60 E and the apartment was dirty. Difficult to understand. More importantly, you were not allowed to stay in the apartment 24h. You had to come at 14:30 the first day and go leave at 10:30am next morning. If you exceeded thes hours, you had to pay more. This doesn´t happen in any hotel you go too. Moreover, I don´t know how legal this is since you don´t get a legal receipt.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. -

We rented the two-bedroom apartment. It was well equipped and in a fantastic location right in the heart of El Born, the funky - yet historic - area of Barcelona. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, with plenty of windows to provide lots of light and air. It's on the third floor overlooking one of the main cobbled streets towards the Placa Santa Maria so you can always feel the vibrant atmosphere of El Born. Highly recommended.

Sono stato in vacanza per circa una settimana con altri 3 amici e abbiamo trovato che tutto era perfettamente adeguato alle aspettative.
La casa sicuramente molto pulita, il check-in e il check-out di una puntualità impeccabile e anche molto comprensivi per il nostro ritardo.
Molto precisi e affidabili, soprattutto rispetto al costo che per il tipo di servizio era sicuramente contenuto.
La casa era in una posizione abbastanza centrale, ci si può spostare sia a piedi (anche se è una bella scarpinata) sia con i mezzi (che sono tutti vicini anche se costosi) per raggiungere qualsiasi località.
Inoltre i servizi all'interno della casa ottimi anche quelli, così come scritto sulla pagina d'acquisto della casa (ci hanno addirittura accolti facendoci trovare l'aria condizionata accesa che dopo il viaggio e una lunga camminata ci voleva).
In ultimo è una posizione comoda anche dall'aeroporto in quanto l'aerobus vi lascia abbastanza vicini anche per arrivare a piedi fino a casa.

- Staff is not friendly at all
- Website stating "24 hour hotline" support, turns out it is for "emergency" situations only, the phone is not being picked up either way, so no way for them to know if it is an emergency or not.
- Small roaches in the kitchen.
- Floor filthy, sheets had stains and mold.
- Air conditioning broken (2nd day at 34C outside and noisy street and garbage collectors at 4 am) - no reaction from staff over our emails or phone calls.
- TV seems to also not work, but we didn't care - who watches TV when in Barcelona anyway?!? (for those of you who need tv)

l' appartamento e'in una buona posizione ben servita dalla metropolitana, la reception disponibile e presente,ma l'appartamento era brutto vecchio e soprattutto molto sporco, polvere dietro la porta del bagno macchie rosse che e'meglio non sapere cosa fosse, la cucina sguarnita con scolapiatti arrugginito e soprattutto ben diverso dalle foto che sono sul sito...
non ci vorrei piu tornare va bene giusto per gruppi di giovani che vogliono fare baldoria la sera, ma non per famiglie con bambini che guardano dove i propri figli mettono i piedi e le mani.

I've stayed at Picasso 3. The location was really perfect (in the heart of El Born). Our apartment was in very good condition. Also, the man that gave us the key was very polite and punctual. Unfortunately, one ring from the cooker was broken, but we received a compensation for that. I fully recommend Picasso 3.

La locazione è buona: 15 minuti ( max ) a piedi dalla sagrada familia e a 5 minuti dalla fermata della metro ( Monumental ). -

Iré por orden. En el momento de la entrega del piso la persona de contacto ha sido puntual, nos han entregado las llaves y hemos pagado lo que quedaba del piso y el total de la fianza (tuve que ir a cambiar por que la persona d contacto no tenía ni 10€ para dar cambio). Una vez se ha ido el contacto revisamos el piso y nos damos cuenta de que no se ha limpiado en mucho tiempo. En teoría nos cobran 60 € por una limpieza que se realiza justo antes de entrar en el piso... Gran Mentira... la pileta y la ducha daban asco, el fregadero y el microondas estaban cochambrosos, los mangos de las alacenas se quedaban pegados en las manos, el lavavajillas estaba lleno y olía a humedad que daba asco, la Bolsa DE Basura de la gente que estuvo antes aún estaba allí, la escoba estaba llena de pelos rubios y largos, el piso estaba lleno de polvo hasta arriba y por si no fuera suficiente el piso olía a humedad, las sábanas de la cama olían a queso y Todos LOS Dias Encontramos Cucarachas DE Paseo POR EL BaÑO Y la Cocina. En resumen, si la gente está acostumbrada a vivir en chabolas igual no notan mucho la diferencia pero si les gusta un poco la limpieza esto es de impresentables.
por otro lado las últimas palabras de la persona de contacto fueron "si necesitais algo solo teneis que llamarme". A las dos horas de la entrega del piso y después de comer algo y meditar sobre los acontecimientos llamamos al número de la persona de contacto para comunicarle lo sucedido y pedirle una toalla más (nos dejaron tres y eramos cuatro en el piso) pero no nos cogieron el teléfono ni nos devolvieron la llamada.
Por todos estos hechos el servicio es nefasto no cumpliendo lo que pone en la página web donde realizamos la reserva y el trato completamente deficiente. Habeis cobrado por un piso en estado lamentable y por un servicio de limpieza que no habeis realizado. Vergonzoso.

1) L'appartement était vraiment très bien situé. A 200m de la Rambla et à env. 10/15mn de la plage! Comme c'est au centre, le quartier n'était pas des plus calmes ni des mieux fréquentés, mais pour un groupe d'amis c'est vraiment l'idéal.
2) Le seul problème que nous avons eu était le check-out: l'employé avait fait une erreur en écrivant l'heure de départ, mais un coup de téléphone à suffi à réparer cela en 15mn (service très efficace)!
3) Un autre point pas très pratique, mais c'est notre faute, était le problème des clés: nous n'en avions qu'une seule et il fallait toujours descendre les 3 étages pour aller ouvrir aux autres. Je vous recommande de demander une deuxième clé quand vous arrivez (caution supplémentaire)!
4) A part cela tout le reste était en ordre. L'appartement avait une cuisine bien équipée (un lave-vaisselle aurait été le grand luxe, mais ce n'était pas le but)!
Le fait qu'il y ait deux salles de bain est super, même si la douche dans l'une des deux coulait un peu!
--> Ces ces petits détails mineurs qui m'empêchent de mettre 5/5 à cet appartement! Je le recommande vivement à tous les groupes d'amis qui passeront par Barcelone pour faire la fête! Enjoy! -

Nonostante avessi avvisato del mio arrivo alle ore 15:30, mi era stato riferito che sarebbe venuto un addetto alle ore 16:00. L'addetto è giunto alle ore 16:35.
L'appartamento è tenuto in discrete condizioni ma nel palazzo ove è ubicato vi era sempre un cattivo odore. (quando venivano fatte le pulizie all'interno del palazzo??).
Il check-out comunque è stato puntuale. -

The apartment on Carrer de Valencia was clean and in a good position. We basically walked everywhere. There were 3 of us and unfortunately the person sleeping on the fold out sofa had to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. We were there for 5 days and were only left with 1 toilet roll for the entire stay. Also, there were no basics such as oil, salt and pepper and sugar - we had to buy these things. There was also a problem with the air-conditioner and after a few days we had a problem with the drains in the shower as it started to fill with water.

Our experience in Barcelona was pretty good.
The apartment was very good located with markets, supermarket and small shops quite close and good equipated (dishes, pans, cups...).
The street where it was is a bit noisy, but I guess it was normal because of the place.
The only thing that bother us was that the flat was not clean when we arrived, we had to clean it "again"! The kitchen was terrible: fridge, forn, microwaves... It's supposed to be clean, we paid for a cleaning service to clean after our departure (obligatory) but they didn't care what happend before.
We also had problems with the wastepipe of the shower but finally they solved it.
A blanket was not clean...but the rest I have to say, was comfortable.
It's in a 3º floor without elevator and the stairs were narrow (at night maybe dangerous). -

L'appartement est situé non loin de la Sagrada Familia, et de la station de métro monumental. Il est confortable et il y a tout le matériel dont on a besoin.
seul point faible il est un peu loin éloigné du port pour ce qu'ils viennent a Barcelone pour faire la fête mais il existe cependant des bus de nuit (nit bus n3 pour rejoindre l'appart) pour rejoindre les lieux animés ou l'appartement. -

For the price of this apartment we couldnt have asked for more. It was very clean and slept all eight of us easily. The only slight problem was the noise ban between 22:00 until 08:00. For eight lads on a stag weekend was a little challenging.

il manque un peu de la vaisselle et la propreté des draps et serviettes pourraient être améliorés. Appartement très propre par ailleurs.
Nous avons dû attendre 30 minutes la personne qui devait nous accueillir. : celle-ci est venue quand nous lui avons téléphoné. -

Appt très bien situé entre Ramblas, Plaza Reial et Plaza St Jaume, lumineux et très propre. Réservation et accueil ++. Mais ... appt vétuste (quartier gothique) pas du tout isolé et extrêmement bruyant (bruits et échanges des appartements voisins, va et vient incessants du vieil ascenseur jusque tard la nuit, ...). 2 chaises seulement pour un appt de 4 personnes (demande de chaise supplémentaire auprès de DF restée insatisfaite). Equipement cuisine très insuffisant (un four mais aucun plat, seulement poele et casseroles), rien pour accrocher la pomme de douche, des plafonds par endroits à moins de 1.80 m où on se cogne à chaque passage si on n'a pas l'habitude, ordi avec connexion internet mais pas de TV. Pas de dépose bagages possible après le départ de l'appt. Bref, des prestations à mon sens bien trop insuffisantes pour ce niveau de prix (90 € la nuit). Personnellement, je ne ferai plus confiance à Diagonal Flats.
Des appréciations sur le site de DF m'auraient évité cette déception. -

très grand appartement (couchage jusqu'à 11 personnes) situé sur les Ramblas, et donnant à l'arrière sur le Mercat La Boqueria. Par contre très bruyant, même la nuit ... à conseiller donc à un groupe d'amis fêtards...ou ne pas oublier les boules Quiès ! bien équipé mais décoration sommaire.

The bedrooms were nice but the kitchen was sticky and the oven didn't work. The place was so loud that whenever people made the slightest noise the sound went right through the walls.

Il servizio ricevuto era buono, la casa era comoda da raggiungere, era ben arredata ed attrezzata. il mobili i letti erano nuovi e comodi.
Avrei voluto le coperte per la notte perchè faceva freddo e non c'erano, mancavano le federe per i cuscini e mancava un cuscino per la notte. l'appartamento non era ben pulito c'era molta polvere sotto al divano letto. Avrei gradito più ciotole per la cucina e trovare una macchinetta per il caffè (moka). Non abbiamo trovato il phon (era scritto che c'era) Non siamo riusciti a comperare le cialde per la macchina fornita Sarebbe stato utile indicare dove acquistarle.
La persona che ci ha accolto era gentile ma non parlava Inglese nè Italiano. L'impressione finale comunque è Buona -

but there is one big problem: the loudness of the private club close to our apartment. The music (from 22:00 till 06:00 in the morning) is sooo loud that nobody of us was able to sleep in the night.
The service was poor. Before starting y got two different answers how to pick up the key. As i asked for furhter informations about this, i got an answer seven days later and after that i was peryonally in the office to ask for an explanation. -

Not being Spanish speakers, it was a delight being able to deal with a company which responded promptly and efficiently to any queries which arose before the vist and who were extremely helpful at all times.

i due appartamenti sono comodissimi per quanto riguarda la dislocazione: sono nello stesso edificio in una zona molto centrale a due minuti dal cuore della rambla; sono consigliabili per gruppi giovanili anche perchè molto spartani ma funzionali anche per gruppi di venti o più persone; l'accoglienza è puntuale e positiva

E' l'appartamento ideale per comitive di giovani (noi eravamo 4 coppie), arredamento spartano, con praticamente 3 bagni e ad un prezzo ottimo.
In pieno centro, a 50m dalla ramblas, in una zona piena di bar, locali e di tutto ciò che può servire alloggiando in un appartamento (anche 2 noleggi per bici vicino, che consiglio vivamente).
Ha 2 fermate di metro (2 diverse linee che portano ovunque) a pochi passi.
E' facile raggiungere tutto in pochissimo tempo, soprattutto se in bici.
Non lo consiglio alle famiglie con bambini e a perbenisti perchè la zona è frequentata da tipi abbastanza bizzarri e molto caotica la sera, data la presenza di molti locali. (Ma c'è la polizia che gira notte e giorno)
Le pecche sono (frivole):
1) La notte è un pò rumoroso data la vivacità della via

L'appartement Picasso 1 est situé dans une rue pietonne, près du musée Picasso et d'un bar à tapas (donc bruyant). Appartement sombre, mais nous avions loué pour y dormir et manger...c'est idéal lorsque l'on est toute la journée dehors pour visiter cette magnifique ville...

The reservation went smoothly and the service was great. The apartment itself was somewhat older and in my opinion not completely clean, but we had a very pleasant stay there. The one showerhead was broken could still take a shower 'cause there were two showerheads.
The location was perfect, nearby a metrostation so everything you want to see in Barcelona is only a few metrostops ahead. Tip if you are staying more days: take a 5-day ticket for the metro ( or 2,3 or 4-ticket).
Supermarket, bakery, grocerystore and restaurants all just a few minutes walk. Quiet enough to have a good night sleep. -

All rooms are spacious and the flat in general is roomy and good for big families.
Kitchen well equipped and clean. Even bathroom and rooms were clean; the furniture was essential but more than enough for a short vacation. Beds really comfortable.
It would need a general renovation, particularly for windows that are a bit old and not good enough against road noise and draughts.
The lift is really small and almost unusable if you have a baby asleep in a pram or pushchair. Sometimes even if all doors are all closed, the lift don't move and someone has to go downstairs to re-close several times the doors until the lift magically starts. Luckily we were on the second floor.
The position is good, near Metro and bus stop and you can get to the Sagrada Familia on foot.
The girl who gave us the keys and showed us the flat is extremely kind and speaks English very well.

The flat was very central indeed. With only a 2 minutes walk to the nearest metro. This made it easy for us as a family with children to get around.
We got good value for the money, most of the things you need were there.
You could see that the flat had been used a lot it was a bit worn.
The people working at Dioagonal flats contacted us up front and asked if we needed transfer from the airport, and they arranged it for us. It was a cheap and comfortable way of getting to the flat. -

Owner was there on time and actually had to wait as our flights were delayed by an hour. Place is difficult to find because of location in the outskirts of Barcelone. If you are from North america, be prepared to get lost. House is however perfect. Owner very nice and helpfull with directions on how to park around the University to get to town by metro. A car in Barcelona is useless, but necessary at this distance (St-Just Desvern). Owner speaks excellent French and English. Beautiful house, quiet location, great owners. Check in and check out on time. Went out of the way to help us. Was with my two adult daughters (20 and 22). House can probably sleep 8, but two double beds were avail, in two rooms. Two beautiful bathrooms. Kitchen excellent, well equiped.

Het appartement was voor twee personen groot genoeg. Er waren vier bedden opgemaakt, zodat we konden kiezen. Het lag lekker dicht bij verschillende bezienswaardigheden en ook de metro was dichtbij.
De ontvangst was prima.
We misten eigenlijk een gemakkelijke stoel. en de eetkamerstoelen waren niet erg stevig (rugleuning gescheurd). Borden, bestek en glazen genoeg, maar er was slechts een grote kookpan.
Dankzij het mooie weer werd het een mooie vakantie. Voor een paar dagen in Barcelona is dit een prima plek om te verblijven.
